Chapter 24
Paige POV
I can't still believe that Alison is the one who bet that amount of money. I don't know her motives but I need to do it, besides all I need to do is ask her what she wanted to do.
I saw Spencer on the corner then I walk to her then sit beside her. We are just engulf in a comfortable silence until, Spencer speaks up
"I'm so sorry" She said then I looked at her but she is still staring at the nothingness in front of her.
"I'm really amazed to what Emily did" She continued still avoiding my gaze
"You're amazing too Hastings" I said then she turn to face me with this seriousness in her feature.
"Why does everything have to be this complicated" She said looking straight in to my eyes.
"Hey you don't need to feel sorry for what happen I'm okay and I, I love you" I stopped when I realized that what I said sounds weird.
"All" I continued in a heartbeat.
"SO don't worry, I'm okay and thankful to have someone like all of you," I said then avert my eyes to something else
"Yeah you're right I'm also grateful, that besides Emily. You, Hanna and Alison are here" I looked at her again then smiled at her sincerely
"Yeah Emily is nothing but wonderful" I say then I looked around to find Emily.
"She's there" Spencer said then she points at the other side
"How did..." I try to ask but then she stood up and dusted off the dirt and she giggled
"I know that you will find her, both of you were always together lately" Then she offered me a hand
"Sometimes It really makes me jealous" She said when we are both standing face to face
"Don't worry Hastings I'm not taking Emily from you" I said then I saw Hanna waving at me so I waved back at her. I heard that Spencer said something but I didn't understand it.
"What?" I asked her when I returned my attention to the beautiful girl in front of me then I noticed that her cheeks are so red
"Hey you're freezing, here wear this" I said then I removed the scarf around my neck. Then I put it on her.
"There are you warm enough now. Do you want to go home now? I'll walk you home I'll just say goodbye to them" I said then when I'm about to turn around I feel Spencer's gripped on my wrist. Then I looked at her questioningly.
"We don't need to go home yet, it's still early to call it a night" She said then
"Yeah sure anything you want" I said then she removes her hold on my wrist and I already miss the small contact.
"I guess you owe my something, though" She said then she looked at the other side where the sound system is. Then Hanna just motions thumbs up on us then she played some music.

"Will you dance with me?" Spencer asked and I feel like I'm going to pass out at that moment but I still manage to put my hand on her hand. I don't know where to put my hands so I just put it in her waist then she put her hands on my shoulder. Then we started to get lost in each other's eyes.
EPOV
Time flies and everyone is having there goodtime. I'm sitting at the corner watching the flares of the fire. I'm still a bit hateful of myself but Paige is nothing but sweet and good to me. Spencer is really lucky to be loved by someone like Paige McCullers. I wish...
"Hey! Emily" Someone called my name and pulls me out of my reverie. I just stare at those two beautiful eyes looking directly at me.
"Emily what's wrong?" Paige said then she crouches beside me. I just shake my head and give her a reassuring smile.
"Hey I said it is all okay" Then she stands up and offer me hand. I looked at her then raised my brow questioning her.
She grabbed my hand that is resting on my knee then pulled me up.
"You owe me a dance Ms. Fields" Then she put my hands on her shoulder and then put hers on my waist.
"Is this okay with you?" She asked
"Yeah, uhmm what about Spence?" I asked her. But she just smiled at me
"We've already danced while you're busy starring at the bonfire Em" She said then she started swaying.
"Ow, I guess I missed your love puppy look" I mocked her.
"Come on Em I'm not like you, I can still compose myself whenever I'm around Spencer" She answered
"I really like it when you are calling me Em" Paige just smiled at me
"Wait" I said then I stopped us from swaying.
"What" Paige says in panic.
"There is no music Paige" I said then giggled. Then I removed my hands on her shoulder
"Ow, don't worry" She said then she put my hands around her neck then pulled me closer and she rest her chin on the top of my head.
"Just listen to the beating of my heart" and I closed my eyes and let her lead the both of us.

"Why didn't you pursue it before?" Someone asked the girl looking at Paige and Emily
"What are you talking about?" She snapped at Alison
"We both know what I'm talking about" She says still looking at the two girls swaying in their own little bubble.
"I don't know what you are talking about." She snapped at the blonde
"What are you being afraid of? Huh?" She said sharply now looking at the taller girl beside her
"You don't know what's running on my mind okay! You don't know anything!" Then she runs off. Then disappeared from the crowd
