"Paige I'm leaving" I call out then get my bag on the floor.
"Wait!" She said then she appear beside me
"I want to go with you" She said
"What?! you're still sick go back to sleep and take a rest" I said then when i'm about to turn around she holds my wrist.
"Wait, I'm okay now look" She insist then put the back of my hand on her forehead.
"See i'm not sick anymore." She said then smiled
"But, you still need to rest we need some help tomorrow for decorating the venue" I said then removed my hands from her grip
"Please Em I just want to go out in this house I'll just head to the convenient store then I'll go straight here to rest, deal?"
"okay okay you win" I said then she's like a kid on the Christmas day
"just wait for a while I'll just get something it's really cold outside " then she run to her room
PPOV
"Em here" I said then hand here the ice cream
"Wow you've just been sick and now Ice cream" She said but still take the ice cream from me
"why did you take it?" I said then raised my brow
"Why?! Am I the one who got sick?" She said after she lick her ice cream. But she accidentally put some on the tip of her nose. I can't stop my giggles then she glared at me
"What?" She said still oblivious to the ice cream on her nose
"You so cute Em" I said then shakes my head then move closer then wiped her nose with my thumb
"You're so messy missy" I said then I saw that she blushed
"ahmmmm thanks?" Then she walked ahead.
"Hey em wait! I'm just kidding"
"What you status with Spence?" She asked out of the blue.
"ahmm nothing new" I shrugged
"Why don't you ask her to be your date for the dance?" She said then stopped then looke at me.
"I... I don't know" I stuttered
"Come on Paige don't be a coward just ask her, this is also your chance to say it to her" She said then continued on her tracks.
"I dont know what if she don't want to you know..." I said then Emily cut me off
"How would you know if you'll never ask" She said but she stopped on her tracks then look at the sky that starting to clear form a patch of clouds.
"I know you have a big chance on her paige, just man up then ask her" She continued i just loke at her at that moment then started to walk behind her.
"I don't know " I said then follow her gaze.
"you'll just know it when you're already there" She said softly
"How can I know what I want to do later when I don't know what to do right now?" I said then look at her. but she is not facing me so i cant see her face right now
" At that time, I should have called out to her. I kept replaying that entire scenario in my mind over and over again. That's why this time; I refuse to leave behind any regrets. I don't wanna look back and think 'what might have been' And everything we've done and endured up until now; all of it; I won't let it all go to waste, I don't want you to have regrets Paige. " Then she face me
"I dont want you to have some regrets or to affect the things you want by other circumstances" she said then looked at her feet
"I...I want you to be happy " She said then I see a glistering tear on her eye. I cupped her face then forced her to look at me.
"You're really a good friend Em. I'm very thankful to have someone like you in my life" Then i wiped the tear in her eyes by my thumb. Then I smiled at her
"Okay I'll ask her when I got the chance" I said then I removed the scarf around my neck.
She nods her head then Turn her heels. But she didn't walk
I put the scarf on her. then hugged her from behind
"you're the best Emily Fields I don't know what I did to have someone like you in this crazy life of mine"
EPOV
I want to freeze this moment. Why does it have to be this complicated. Life is really unexpected at it really sucks!. I understand now why there are a lot of people saying that 'The thing you wished for the most, is something you'll never get'
"let's go home Em" Paige said but she didn't remove herself from me.
but she hold my hand then tugged me forward then we started walking hand in hand.
When I'm already at home i just go straight to bed and have a dreamless sleep
"Em?, hey! Em" I heard someone calling my name and i snap back to reality.
"What?" I said when I recovered from my pacing out
"Can you hand it over" Hanna said then she point at the decor that I'm holding
"Ahh sure here" I said then I give it to her
"Are you okay?" She asked and I can see the worry in her face
"what? yeah, yeah, why?" I said then give her a small smile
"Come on Em spill what is it? " hanna said
"What is the theme this year? Why do we have that Christmas tree like stracture at the center?" I hear Paige complaining then she walked over to us.
"Its a masquerade something and that structure thingy at the center will be the highlight decoration of the event. It is also a stand for the hanging decoration all over this place" Hanna explained
"You really now what you're doing huh?" Paige said then she put her arms on Hanna's shoulder
"What! this thing is my thing!" Hanna exclaimed then she slapped paige on the stomach using the back of her hands
"Okay okay you know what you're doing" Then Paige raise her hands in the air in surrender
"So Han who will be the MC on this event?" Paige asked
"Guess who!" Hanna said then she gave paige her biggest smile
"Ahmmmm the DJ on our school every breaks and in the morning before the classes starts?" Paige said
"Yeah you got it right! But that DJ got a title already! God you really need some catching up on the things happenning on this school!" Hanna said then walks out
"What happen to her!? did I say something wrong" She looked at me. I just sigh and shake my head
"That dj you telling was now entitled as God of broken hearts" I said then I can't stop myself from laughing at the expression of paige's face it is so priceless.
"Geez! Do we need to take Hanna to some psychologist or any mental institution?" She said then I start to decorate again.
"Hey Em by the way where's Alison?" She asked
"Ow she had some work emergency but she will be attending the party"
"Uhmm, what about Spence?"
"Ow she's busy with extracurricular activities they have a game after the party" I answered

"oww" I asked. Hanna's right I really need some catching up on what's happening here at school.
"Yeah that's why she assigned the party to Hanna" She said
"Come on let's put this boxes on the storage" I said then gathered the boxes on the floor
"Ahhhhhhh!" Thats all I can muster then i fell on the floor then the boxes are scattered all over around me.
"You're so clumsy" I hear Emily said then she help me to picking up the boxes
"Sorry" I said then looked at the person I collided with
"No.. no it's alright I'm not looking " I hear spencer
"I'It's okay Spence here let me help you" I said then offered her a hand
"Sorry again" She said then get up on her own then pick up the last box then give it to Emily
"Spence do you what to go with us after class?" Em asked her
"Sorry we have practice after class" she said then give us an apologetic smile.
"sorry for turning you guys down" She continue
"W-well it's nothing really" I said then force a smile on my face
"It just seems like we haven't had a chance to talk lately" I said sheepishly
"Oww" She said in shock then I corrected myself to save my ass from further embarrassment
"I-I mean Emily and you." I said still looking at my shoes
"Well our couch was taken over by the dark side so now our practice is so harsh" She said then I look at her then she give me a shy smile
"Sorry again, later guys!" Then she runs away
"Hey Spencer!" Emily call out again but Spencer is far enough for her to hear em.
"She run away again" Emily said then sighs.
"I was planning to create a chance for you guys" She said then looked at me. I raised my brow in question
"You know to have some alone time" She said then turn around and started to walk
"Paige faster we need to return there I want to give hanna something" Emily said then she walk ahead
"What are you giving her? your heart?" I mocked her then I receive a glare from her
" . no of course not. Just walk faster I wil give her something personal to add some effect on the stracture thing at the center of the dance floor" Then she sprinted to ascend to the stairs but she slipped.
"EM! Watch it!" I shouted but she is already falling.
"AHHHH!"
Then the next thing I know is that we are both sitting on the floor and Emily is on top of me.
"Look whose clumsy now" I said then giggled
"OH my God! Are you okay Paige?" She said then get up to check for some injuries
"Hey I'm okay" I said and she is still checking me for some bruise
"Em I said I'm okay you don't have to worry" I said then grabbed her wrist
"What...what if you bumped you head!"
"I'm okay see stronger than a bull" I said then get up from the floor
"Come on you need to give something to Hanna right" I said then pull her from then ground

Paige is always there to help me. And she is making everything so hard to, so hard to...
"Hey EM!" I hear someone calling my name
"What?!" I said then looked at Paige
"Are you coming or not? Hanna and the others are waiting outside" She said then smiled at me
"Oww yeah just let me put this on the locker" I said then get up
"You're always spacing out" She said
"I'm just tired" I said
"Where are we going again? I asked her
"See! Something is really not right" She said then shakes her head
"Let me hold this" She said then get my bag from me
"We are going to my house to have some final planning for the party" She said then I put my books on the locker
"OW yeah I forgot" I said sheepishly
At Paige's house
"Em you really a good influence for Paige" Hanna said then give me a big smile
"Why?" I asked her because everything here in Paige looks normal to me.
"Well for starters her house is more presentable than the last time I got here" She said then walked to the kitchen
"Ow that one, I just really like cleaning and domestic stuff" I said then throw the trash
"But still, I'm really glad that you're always there for Paigey, EM" She said then
"It's nothing, I'm the one who should be thankful, she's always there to save my ass" I smiled when I remember the incident on the stairs
"Well she is Batman that's according to her" She said then smiled at me again
"But every superhero have their shit so I'm glad that you're always there for her when I'm not araound" She continued I just look at her and let her continue
"These past few months I'm always MIA in her life I also have some problem on my own. Not that I'm using that as an excuse" She said
"I know" I said then nod at her
"Paige don't have someone to look after her for the past seventeen years. She is always on her own always doing things alone and to how it pleases her."
"Yeah she is so stubborn, I witness that a lot" I said then giggled to the memories
"But she is not alone now she have you, us" Hanna continued
"She didn't actually have someone watching her over the past seventeen years, but its different now" I said then continued
"She have more friends now, she have Alison, Mom, me, even Tippy, Spencer and you "
She smiled at me then we hear Paige calling for Hanna. Then Hanna walked towards the voice
Tomorrow Paige will definitely ask Spencer to the dance. I know that everything will happen according to our prior plan everyone will be happy, everyone will be rewarded. But there is a small voice behind my mind asking me that what if everything that we want will happen, what comes after that. What if... what if I'm the one who will be... ?'left behind?'
"Em! Lets go! We have a meeting here you know" Paige appear beside me then she looked a little pissed that makes her blush. I find it really cute. God damn it Fields! You're not supposed to think that way!
My heart is like made of silk that feels like it's about to rip apart after meeting Paige I finally realized that I'm really clumsy when it comes to this kind of things, my scars from the past that I've almost forgotten, started to ache all of a sudden. I hope someday like how I normally would I must tell her this or else I'll become even weaker. But I know that if I don't let this thing go everything will be more complicated for us. Now I also believe that the thing you wished for the most is something you'll never get.
