Chapter 7: Jealous Nii-sans'

Early the next morning, Lucy was the first to bolt out of her bed and change in record time. She ran out her room and barged into Laxus's room which was besides her, and jumped into the bed making it bounce.

"Laxy-nii!" Wake up!" She cheered, shaking him awake. Laxus groaned and cracked an eye open.

"What are you doing, Luce?" He glanced at the clock, his eyes bulging out their sockets. "And at 7:00 in the morning?!"

"I wanta go outside." Lucy pouted, masking a stubborn face. Laxus sighed and stretched his muscles, sitting up.

"Alright, but where exactly?" He asked, scratching his head.

"To the park, dummy!" Lucy threw her hands up in the air, too happy in his opinion.

"This early?" Laxus groaned. All he wanted to do was sleep in, besides, it was their summer vacation. "What's the big rush anyway?"

"Yeah! I'm gonna play with my new friend." A faint blush adorned her cheeks, making Laxus very curious and have very disturbing thoughts. 'Better not be a boy!' He growled.

"A friend, huh. Well, I guess it's alright then." He stood and headed for bathroom. "Wake up, Sting. I'm sure he would love to come."

"Okay!" Lucy sprinted out the room and barged into Sting's room, where he was only in his boxers, sprawled out snoring loudly.

She jumped up on the bed and landed on Sting, resulting in him losing his breath and a loud 'oof.' "Stingy-nii! Come on, wake up!"

Sting went into a coughing fit before glaring at his little sister. "Why? It's too early!" He complained, pulling the covers over his head.

Lucy pouted and gripped the bed sheets trying to pull it off. "Stingy-nii~!" She whined, pushing his back. He didn't response and continued laying stay.

Lucu huffed, and used all her strength into her last push. Not expecting that, Sting gasped, falling to the floor with a loud thud. He laid there tangled in the sheets before throwing it off in frustation.

"Okay! You got me! Now what do you want?" Sting growled, but no wholeheartly.

Lucy pounced up to him and clapped her hands making the older sibling wince. "We're meeting a new friend."

"We? Who's all going?" Sting grumbled. "And why am I even included?"

"Laxus thought it was a great idea for you to come. And I also want you to meet my new friend." Lucy beamed.

Sting scowled. "He wants to ruin my life doesn't he." He grumbled, sighing loudly. He looked at Lucy whom was in a daze, smiling dreamly. Sting raised an eyebrow and pinched her cheek, making her yelp.

Lucy slapped his hand away and glared at him. "Oww! What was that for Stingy-nii?" She whined, rubbing the sore spot. Sting chuckled, but immediately changed his perspective.

"You said we're meeting your friend, right? Well, is it a girl or a boy?" Overprotectiveness was heard in his voice which went unnoticed by the cheery blonde girl. She was too excited to even hear him speak.

"Hey!" He snapped his fingers in her face but got no response. "Lucy! Lucy! LUCY!"

Lucy, unfazed, squealed so loud that a loud thud was heard from the other room, and Sting clenched his ears with his hands. "Kyaa! Hurry up and get ready Stingy-nii!" She gently pushed him then let go a few seconds after.

Sting barely moved a few centimeters and was about to scold her until Laxus barged through the door, almost knocking it off its hinges. His hair was dripping wet and his attire was crumbled, messy, and uneven. "LUCE!"

"Laxy-nii! Tell Stingy-nii to hurry up!" Lucy pouted, then smiled, walking out the room and into the living room, leaving two confused blondes.

"What's up with her?" Sting asked after a few moments of silence. Laxus shrugged and glanced at Sting, rolling his eyes. "I have no idea, but could you please put on a shirt."

"What's wrong with not having a shirt on?" Sting said, flexing his (tiny) muscles. Laxus snorted, face palming.

"Sometimes I wonder why we're even brothers. But seriously, if we don't hurry up, Lucy will skin us alive or use her 'I-can-do-anything-I-want-with-this-face' facade." A blush crept upon their cheeks just thinking about Lucy pouting.

"I'll be in the shower." Sting and Laxus returned to their routine and came downstairs only to see Lucy standing at the bottom of the steps with her arms crossed. "You're late!" She whined.

She gripped their wrists and literally dragged them out the doors, stopping only to get the house keys and Laxus's cell phone.

~After a few minutes of dragging~

"This is my worst day ever!" Sting grumbled while Laxus sighed but nod in agreement. Lucy had been dragging them across town getting many amused stares and chuckles much to the males' embarrassment. "Are we there yet?" Sting whined.

"Would you shut up. It's only been a few minutes and you're already complaining." Laxus grunted.

"Shut up!"

"What an idiotic brother I have." Laxus muttered, rubbing his temples in frustration. Unfortunately, Sting heard him and was about to throw a tantrum but Lucy interrupted them.

"We're here!" She cheered, beaming very happily. She let go of their wrists and took off running across the park. The blonde males sweatdropped before sprinting after her, along the way they bumped into the rest of the gang.

"What's going on with you guys?" Lisanna asked, quirking an eyebrow at worried, panting blondes. The other males cackling in the background.

"Lucy, she wants us to meet her new friend. But I have a feeling it will end badly." Laxus stated, jogging in one place (the reason for the others cackling). Same with Sting. "But we got to go." They took off running again.

"I want in!" Mira cheered, then sighing dreamily. "Maybe it's a boy." This caught the others' attentions. The girls cooing while the boys muttered words under their breath with a dark aura. Mira took off after them, leaving the others choking on her dust. Not wanting to be left out, they chased her, hot on her tail in a pursuit.

While the gang was still running, Lucy ran up behind the playground and searched for Matthew. She spotted him swinging gently on the swinging set. She smiled and ran up to him, waving. "Hi, Matthew!"

The said boy looked up from the ground and blushed seeing Lucy's face very close. "U-uh, hi, Lucy." He mumbled, trying to hide his face. Lucy giggled, making Matthew's blush deepen.

"Can I swing with you?" Lucy said, twirling her pink and white pocka dot dress around.

"Sure." Matthew motioned to the empty swing beside him. Lucy took a seat and sped up with Matthew, both swinging gently side by side. She glanced at him and blushed, realizing he was doing the same.

"Um, so, what would you like to do?" He stuttered, looking away shyly.

"Anything's fine." Matthew's eyes then lit up and he jumped off the swing, grabbing Lucy's hand in the process, resulting in them blushing deeply but not letting go.

"Want to play tag with me?" A sparkle in his eyes as he asked. Lucy giggled and nodded, placing a hand on his shoulder and sprinting off, laughing. "Your it!"

They play many other games together, enjoying each others company. But unknown to them, the gang was watching their every move. The girls were giggling furiously while the boys went into a depressed state, mumbling inaudible words.

"Let's go to the top!" Matthew suddenly shouted. They raced to the top and settled at the edge of the slide, lying on their backs. Lucy sighed happily, closing her eyes. A smile slowly itching its way to her face.

Taking a deep breath, she said, "It's been a long time since I've played with someone before." She opened her eyes and looked to her right, gazing a Matthew. "And having my very own friend."

Matthew felt her gaze on him and blushed crimson, suddenly feeling like it was hard to breathe. "R-really?" He answered, shifting his position.

"Yeah, I've never been outside for the time. My aunt kept me indoors." Lucy pouted, sitting up, Matthew following suit. "But it's great to be outside again." Matthew smiled, taking her hand in his.

"I was treated the same way, but I'm glad there's someone other than me experiencing that. It would be hard for someone to understand if they don't experience it themselves." He released a cheeky grin. "I'm glad I met you, Lucy."

Lucy flustered at the sudden turn of events, and smiled. "Me, too!" They grinned at each other, laughing. Their laughter settled down, the comfortable silence making them relaxed. Matthew stood up abruptedly, startling the bubbly blonde, and kneeled in front of her.

The gang's eyes widen and jaws dropped at his posture; the girls getting teary-eyed and dramatic, and the boys frozen in shock and utter disbelief.

"OMG! He isn't going to do that is he?!" Levy gasped, clasping her hands together, her eyes glistening. The other girls were in this state expect Mira who has fainted and Erza blushing ferociously, rivaling her own hair color.

On the other hand, the boys were totally NOT taking this so nicely. Sting and Laxus were fumming in anger, red-faced and ready to pounce on the boy (if it weren't for the others holding them back). The rest showed jealousy, their eyes glinted slightly saying, "Someone will go to sleep today." (A/N: Yikes! These is really harsh! But please deal with it, and sorry.)

The stuttering, flushing blonde could only watch with shock. Her heart sped more than it should, the beating so loud it pounded through her ears. He smiled warmly, and took a deep breath before saying, "Lucy, would you-"

He was cut off by someone shouting, "Stop right there! This is getting way out of hand!" And it was none other than Laxus and Sting. They broke free of their hold and took off to the playground at lightning speed, and arriving in mere seconds.

Lucy jumped up from her spot and greeted her brothers. "Laxy-nii! Stingy-nii!" Their eyes soften, immediately snatching their sister away from the confused boy.

"Luce, what are you doing with this boy?" Laxus asked, sneaking a peek at Matthew.

"We were just about to play." Lucy whined, pouting.

"Play?" The blondes' asked, eyebrows twitching.

"On that play ground over there!" She said, pointing to the play ground with many twists and twirls.

"Lucy, I think I have a better idea." Sting stated, a creepy grin plastered on his face. He shared a look with Laxus, whom had the same expression.

"Yaahoo! This is fun!" Lucy cheered, swinging her legs back and forth. She sat on the swing set with Matthew. They weren't by themselves, Sting and Laxus helped them with pushing. Sting pushing Lucy and Laxus pushing Matthew.

"Yeah, I guess." Matthew mumbled, smiling over at the cheerful blonde. The swing then got more faster causing him to grip the iron chains tighter.

Laxus laughed from behind, pushing even faster. While Licy was distracted, he slowed down and gripped the boy's shoulders, leaning in to whisper darkly, "Make a move on my baby sister and you're dead."

The boy shivered, gulping loudly and nodding his head rapidly. "Y-yes, sir!" He sputtered out, laughing nervously.

The tall male leaned back, grinning mischeviously, and started pushing again. "Good."

After moments of swinging on the swing set, the day continued on with the blonde cupid playing in a group (awkwardly for Matthew) and the rest playing with the other, occasionly staring at the group, commenting and squealing.

Near the end of the day, the blonde cupid stood in front of the play ground. The sibilings in front of Matthew. Lucy was about to bid goodbye before gasping, and snapping her fingers. "Oh yeah!"

She turned to her brothers, yanking on their arms gaining their attention. "I want you guys to meet Matthew! And Matthew, meet my brothers Sting-nii and Laxus-nii!"

Matthew gulped, shuffling his feet, carefully reaching out his arm. "Nice you meet your brothers, Lucy."

The brothers stifled a laugh and returned his handshake. "Nice to meet you, too."

Lucy hummed happily, seeing this was easier than she though. "Okay, bye Matthew! I had a lot of fun today." She tugged him into a hug and let go. "We should do this sometime again."

"Uh, yeah, sure." He answered, rubbing his nape. Lucy smiled at him one last time before running to the group, whom were trying to wake up a group of fainted girls. Matthew sighed in relief until Sting and Laxus stepped foward.

"Our sister sure does like you." Sting said.

"And we are her older brothers." Laxus continued.

"So, we'll keep a keen eye out for you."

"And you better be ready." They finished off with a creepy tone, sending shivers down Matthew's spine. They flashed him a devious smile, stood up, and ruffled his hair. "See ya around, Matthew."

Said boy stood their frozen in his stop, his heart beating rapidly, before taking off in the opposite direction. In the distance could be heard, "Mama!"
