Chapter 8: One Morning

As much as she didn't want to disturb her brothers, she couldn't help but squeal while skipping happily around her room. Today she hadn't put much thought into it, but she wanted to spend time with her brothers. Not with their friends. Just them. It's not like she didn't like them, she only wanted time with her brothers.

An imaginary light bulb appeared above her head. Ding! An idea just like that came to her mind. "I hope this makes nii-san happy." She hummed merrily as she walked downstairs.

~After an hour or so~

Clank!

The blonde twitched under the covers.

Tink!

A large blob of blankets rolled of his figure, all the while groaning.

BANG!

This alerted the eldest brother, throwing the door open without hesitation. "Who's there?" He hollered, grumbled in discomfort. The source of havoc adruptedly stopped. His adorable little sister stood beside the table covered from head to toe in white substance—to which he assumed was frosting.

Sending a gentle smile her way, he picked her off her feet and sat her down on the counter. He gave her a playful, irritated look, with his hands on his hips like a demanding mother. "Luce," He inquired slowly. "What did you do?"

She fiddled with the frosting upon her hair and gave a mumble which he recalled as, "Try'na make something for nii-san." Ruffling her soft, sticky hair, he kissed her forehead. "Nii-san can help you only after you clean yourself up."

"Un!" With a squeal of delight, she hugged Laxus and happily ordered him to put her down. He did as told and watched her rushed out the door followed by small thumps of feet trotting up the steps. He chuckled lightly, picking up the forgotten cooking utensil off the floor. "That girl."

For an unknown reason, he suddenly woke feeling like he ran a marathon. His heart was beating fast in anticipaction. As to why, he was clueless. The feel of adreniline pumping through his veins in excitement. He tried shrugging off the feeling to no avail. Placing the sole of palm against his chest, he sighed.'Maybe something he had did made him feel this way.

Sting groggily pushed his body's lead-like weight off the cushioned bed; failing in an attempt to tidy up his messy sheets. With a grunt of frustration, he carelessly stacked the sheets into a pile and force his weakened muscles to travel to the bathroom.

A refreshing hot shower had him snapping out of his weakened state. A towel was placed over his broad shoulders as he made his way to his dresser. His clothing was on within a few mintutes then he tossed the damp cloth into the bin across the hall.

His head snapped up at the sound of rapid footsteps speeding up the stairs. Then his little sister came into view completely hidden from a sweet smelling, white substance. Made her look like an abominale snowman. He laughed at the thought as Lucy casted him a confused tilt of her head.

"Nii-san, what's so funny?" She pouted, crossing her chubby arms. He knelt down and poked her cheek teasingly. A smirk appeared on his face. "Nothing. But," Another poke. "What's this?" He asked, gesturing to the frosting.

"Lucy doesn't know what it's called, but Lucy knows it tastes good!" Lucy concluded, pricking a pick of frosting into her mouth and humming in delight as if showing her demonstration. Sting couldn't fight the smile itching on his face.

"That's what you call frosting," He laughed. Lucy tilted her head in confusion before shrugging then laughing along. Their laughters echoed throughout the household. "Seems like you two are having fun." Laxus voice suddenly announced, slightly scaring little Lucy.

Lucy brightened up at her eldest brother's arrival. "Laxus-nii!" She beamed then clasped her hands with Sting's. "Sting-nii, come with me." She turned to face Laxus. "You too,Laxus-nii." The tiny blonde grabbed both hands and intertwined their fingers together. A smile made a way to the two males' faces at this action.

Lucy walked them into the kitchen and undid their tangled hands—with much difficulty should I say. She then put her petite hands onto her hip, a determined expression plastered on her face. "Can we bake a cake together?" She asked.

The brothers stared at her in an unusual way before nodding vigorously. "Sure, Luce."

Then their baking skills took place, err, well, Lucy's anyways.

...

A/N: Yes, I've finally updated this story! But unfortunately, I have yet to update the previous ones before. This only solely lifts up my spirits, but to be honest, I've been kind of losing interest. BUT hopefully, I'll keep up to date for sure.
