They were six feet under water in darkness. The pressure of the liquid pressed against their body as if it was an actual mass but that was the least of their problems. Winston's lungs felt like they were about to burst any minute making him panic. Relax, Winston. Remember you need to adept. Think of a fish and what it does under water.
'It breathes underwater,' thought Winston. He felt four slits on each side of his neck begin to form. He opened his mouth breathing in the water as if it was air. Winston laughed as bubbles escaped from his mouth. The gills weren't the only things that formed. His feet and legs formed together like tail of a dolphin with webbing in between his fingers and toes. "Look Winston, we're mermaids!" said Julia, bubbles floating out of her mouth excitingly. Winston laughed with her as the thought of being a turned into a mythical creature then went deeper into the well.
10 feet…..15…..20…..30, the well seemed to go on forever until Winston's webbed fingers touch a grid. They have finally got to the purifier only problem was how to get to the other side. Winston and Julia tried finding a door or pull the grid out but to no success. 'What do we do now?' thought Winston.
Go though it
'How?'
Just do it, trust me.
Winston hovered over the lid for a moment, having some doubt but then again he wasn't really human. He can do just about anything. Taking in faith he hovered a little high then dived against the lid. His flesh, bone, and blood was shredded through the grid lid. It was painful but only for a second. His flesh, bone, and blood began to form back into Winston's body. A minute later Julia went through the grid experiencing the same feeling as Winston felt.
"Look Julia," pointed Winston. There was a small white dot, they were almost there. The couple swam up to the surface in great speed, eager to get out of the darkness. Winston you need to slow down. As the water became lighter Winston saw mists of red, he was bleeding. He stopped slowly getting to the surface only Julia was getting ahead of him.
"Julia!" he shouted trying to stop her. He could see a trail of misty red following behind her. Quickly he swam up to her, her body didn't move on the surface. Winston gasped for air the gills healing in his neck. Julia was floating blood flowing from the nose and mouth. "Julia," shouted Winston as his body began to ripple in panic.
He spotted a nearby island. Winston dragged her limp body to the shore. Blood was staining the blue ocean. "Stay with me Julia," he said finally meeting the shore. Once they were on land he began doing CPR. After three or four times she didn't breathe. He was about to give up hope until Julia gasped for breath.
"Winston," she breathed his name. Her hand brushed his face gently forming a smile on both their faces. Winston kissed her lips, "I thought I lost you," he said, his kisses becoming more passionate, his hands caressing her body then they proceeded to make love on the beach.
