Chapter 17
~Sam's house~
He heard Andy's alarm go off. He rolled over and shut it off. He rolled over and snuggled up next to Andy.
"Can we stay here." He asked while kissing Andy's neck.
"I would love that but I have to work tonight. I still have some stuff to do tonight before shift." Andy stretched in his arms.
"Yeah I know and I have to go see Sara before my shift to. What are they going to do while we are working?" Andy looked at Sam thinking what he said.
"Well they could come and watch you work. Maybe even do a ride along with me. Or I don't they can stay here. You since they have done that before." Sam let out a sigh. He knew that
she was right but now they we're hurt more than they ever have been before.
"How about we give them options?" Andy chuckled at him. He looked at her confused.
"I laughing because you have turned into a parent over night." Sam chuckled at her.
"True I just want them to know that they are taking care of." Andy nodded her head at him. Andy sat up in bed to get out of bed when she smelt coffee.
"Did you set the coffee maker?" Sam looked at her shaking his head at her. Both of them got out of bed to see what was going on. They walked out of the room started walking down the
hall toward the kitchen. The closer they got they heard music and laughing. They could smell eggs, bacon and sausage. They walked into the kitchen to see Isabelle cooking
while Josh was pulling the plates down for them.
"Hey what are you guys doing?" Isabelle looked over at them.
"Well Uncle Sam. We thought since you have done so much for us. We thought we would make breakfast for you and Andy." Sam looked at them smiling.
"Well ok. Thank you. Do you guys need help with anything?" Isabelle and Josh looked at each other. They shook their heads at them.
"Nope we got it. So sit and relax." Sam and Andy laughed at them.
"Well ok." Sam and Andy sit down on the breakfast bar. Isabelle and Josh finish up their breakfast. They put everything on the breakfast bar and sit down next to them. Sam looked at
them and smiled.
After they were done with breakfast. Sam stood up and started clean up.
"Hey what do you think you're doing." Sam stop and looked at Isabelle.
"Well since you cook. We will clean so sit and relax." Isabelle and Josh laughed at him while sitting back down. Andy and Sam start doing the dishes.
"So we have to work tonight. We were wondering if you guys want to come with us. You can do a ride along or sit in my office with me?" He looks back at them and see Isabelle and
Josh smirking at him.
"Or we can stay here." Sam smiles at them.
"I know but you guys have been through a lot and I don't want to leave you guys alone." He hears Isabelle sigh at him. He turns and looks at her.
"You know we won't break. We have been by are self a lot before. We can take care of are self." Sam chuckles while nodding his head.
"Yeah I know but I am letting you know your not alone." Josh and Isabelle smile at him.
"We know this but seriously we won't break." Andy looked at Sam laughing.
"See I told you." Sam rolled his eyes.
"Ok. Ok I get it. You guys can stay here but I'll check in on you guys." Isabelle and Josh roll their eyes at him.
"Fine." Everyone laughs.
"Ok. Well now that you slept on it. Do you guys want to come with me to see Sara?" Isabelle and Josh sigh.
"Umm about that. We really don't want to see now. She is the reason we are where we are. So no is that ok." Sam looks over at her.
"Isabelle and Josh its fine. Like you said you have done a lot of stuff alone. So if you feel like you don't want to go see her then you don't have to. Also know this you guys sooner
or later you guys will have to see her sooner or later." Isabelle and Josh nod their heads at him.
"Ok but just not now." Sam nodded his head.
"Ok well I am going to get ready and go." Sam leaves them to go get ready.
~Hospital~
Sam take a deep breath before he opens the door to Sara's room. He looks at his sister and instantly fells nothing but anger. She looks up at him and gives him a small smile.
"Hey Sam." He just glares at her.
"What did you need to talk to me about?" Sara let out a frustrated sigh.
"Wow no Hello Sara how are you. Well Sam I am fine. How are you?" Sam groans.
"Sara cut the crap. What do you want?" Sara just let her high fall back on to her pillow.
"We have a problem." Sam glares at her.
"We don't have a problem. You have a problem." Sara grabbed her pillow behind her head and screams into it.
"Look I get we don't get along but this about them." Sam looked at her confused.
"When you say them. Do you mean Isabelle and Josh?" Sara nods her head at him.
"Yes its about them." Sam puts his hand on the foot of her bed and glares at her.
"What. Did. You. Do?" Sam said through gritted teeth.
"My problems are now going to fall on to them." Sam grips the foot rest harder.
"What do you mean Sara?" Sara had tears rolling down her face.
"I still owe Anton money. Jamie told me that he was going to go after them for it now." Sam started pacing while she was talking. After she was done speaking he punched the wall.
"What the hell do you mean." Sam screamed at her.
"You know what I mean. I have no idea how much I still fucking owe him. It means now that I can't pay him back he is going to go after Isabelle and Josh. You can't let that happen
to them. I don't want Jamie around them any more either. Do you hear me." Sam stops pacing and looked at her. He actually started laughing. Sara looked at him confused.
"One thing you don't get to tell me who can see them or not. If they want to get to know their dad then I am not going to stop them. Also don't worry about Anton if Jamie knows about
it I don't think he'll let it happen. The reason I feel that he will protect them is because I know what he does for a living. If he doesn't then I will. You don't get to worry about them any
more. You gave up that option when you chose the drugs over them. When you let Isabelle get rapped by her foster dad. I don't know all Josh's story but I don't think its good either.
So stop acting like you care because you did then you would have been their mother." When Sam stop talking he walked out not waiting for her response.
~the barn~
Sam walks into the barn walking right into Franks office. Jerry and Oliver see him storm in and fallow him.
"Frank we need to talk." Frank looks up right when Jerry and Oliver walk in behind Sam.
"Sam what's wrong?" Sam started pacing running his hands through his hair.
"We need protection for Isabelle and Josh." Everyone looks at him surprised.
"As in Sara's kids?" Oliver asked him. Sam stops and glares at him.
"As in my niece and nephew." Everyone looked even more confused.
"Ok what did we miss. Last time we saw you guys together. You guys were yelling at each other." Sam looked at Jerry letting out a sigh.
"She came by my house that night. She had a break down needing some where to stay. Then Josh came over they had a huge a fight. Then he came back too. Then Jamie stopped
by to come to find out that Jamie is their father. They had a hug blow up so now they are stay with me. Well today I went to I went to see Sara today. She was told by Jamie that
Anton Hill might be coming after them for the debit that she still owes. I want to protect them they are great kids. I want to show them that people can be good to them." The guys
look at him smiling.
"Well ok. Are they staying at your house?" Sam nodded his head at them.
"Ok we will have someone sitting on your house." Sam let out a sigh of relief when Frank said that to him.
"Thank you Frank." Sam walked out of his office to go home.
"Wow I never would have seen the day." Oliver stated.
"What day would that be buddy." Oliver looked at Jerry smiling.
"The day that Sam turned into a family man." Frank started laughing.
"I guess we are all surprised by this. I have to say one thing though it looks good on him." They all nodded their heads at Frank.
~Sam's house~
Sam walks into his house hearing laughing and music from the kitchen. Sam smiles he starts walking toward the kitchen but stops when he hears something come from the living room.
He looks in and sees Josh watching a movie. He walks in Josh looks up at him. He pauses the movie when Sam sits down next to him.
"What are you watching?" Josh looks at him
"Umm Karate Kid." Sam nodded his head.
"Good movie. What are they doing in there." Josh starts chuckling.
"Baking. I think last time I went in there they had flower every where. I think they got into a food fight." Sam starts laughing.
"I think I should go in there to see the damage." Josh started laughing
"Be careful man." Sam starts laughing while walking into the kitchen.
When Sam walked into the kitchen Josh was right. There was flower every where. He leaned against the door frame watching them as they danced around the kitchen.
"What do we have here." Isabelle and Andy stopped dancing and looked at Sam shocked.
"Well mister. We are baking. How was Sara?" Isabelle asked while pulling out cookies. Sam chuckled at her while taking a seat at the breakfast bar.
"Well it looks like you guys are making a mess not baking. Sara is fine don't worry about it ok." Isabelle looked at him and shrugged her shoulders.
"Ok what ever you say." Sam noticed Andy looking at him. He gave her a look to say we will talk later.
"Well I am going to join Josh with movie and leave you guys with whatever you're doing." Sam stood up walking out of the kitchen. He walked into the living room to see
Josh still watching the movie. Sam sat next Josh on the couch.
"I told you man." Sam looked over at Josh. They both started laughing.
"Man shut up and watch the movie." Just then they heard laughing coming toward them. They see Andy and Isabelle walking toward them with a plate of cookies. They sat it down
on the coffee table.
"What movie are we watching?" Andy asked while sitting next to Sam. Isabelle picked up a pillow hitting Josh while sitting on the other side of the couch.
"Hey now. I was watching Karate Kid." Isabelle grabbed the remote and started it over.
"Hey what are you doing." Josh asked her.
"Starting it over because we didn't get to see it from the start butthead." Sam and Andy laughed at them.
"Fine." They all seatled down to watch the movie.
