Greetings! I couldn't help myself but I just had to update it... I couldn't leave you hanging.
This is possibly the last update I will bring myself to write, so please...
I hope you enjoy, and I do not own YP!
"The winner is... Team Sakura, leading with 23 points!"
The crowd went wild. We were cheering as loud as our throats could bear. We had won our quarter final match, and against a high school division team. I was so proud of them. We really worked it off. Tears welled in my eyes.
"G-guys... I really could not have done it without you..." I said, trailing off. I was about to cry. "Than-"
"Kashino. It's not over yet." Kuuga said, a smirk on his face as he silenced me.
"Yeah, Aoi! Let's win this thing!" Akashi said, grinning.
"You're right. Let's go to Paris!" I shouted, pumping my fist into the air.
Last week, we were standing there, basking in the glory of beating high school students. Today, we were practicing again. Although, it sure seemed like we didn't need it. We were quite confident in our abilities, I could feel it in the air.
"Guys, I think we can take a break!" I said, dusting my hands on the apron.
"Okay, after this," Kuuga said, frosting a cupcake. I stared at him.
"Ne, ne! Kuuga, how many of those have you made and frosted?" Akashi asked. Kuuga looked up.
"Three hundred fifty-six," He replied, finishing. "Make that, three hundred fifty-seven. Okay, I'll take a break now," He said, resting. He took a cupcake, and offered it to Akashi. "Want one?" Kuuga asked.
"Sure!" Akashi said, taking it happily.
"Does anyone want a petit mini? I made one hundred twenty-six of them this morning, I couldn't possibly eat them all myself," I asked.
"I'll take one," Kuuga said. I passed him one. "Thanks," His hand gently brushed mine as he took it, and I swear I could see pink on his face. Although, that wasn't the only thing I noticed.
"Kuuga, your hands..." I said, taking them into mine. It was slightly swollen at the wrist, and he had a few burns on his fingers.
"O-Oi! Kashino, what do you think you're doing?!" Kuuga yelled.
"You too, Akashi..." I moved onto the other twin. There were burn marks, and some scars. "You guys should take care of your bodies more! I know we have to practice, but you can't over practice! If you have health issues, then I'm going to drop us out of the competition," I scolded.
"You can't do that, Aoi!" Akashi exclaimed.
"I'll take the necessary jumps. I don't want us to get hurt," I sighed. I felt like their older sister, even if I was younger than them. Boys will be boys, I guess.
"Anyways, anyone want a sugar cookie? I made forty pound cakes as well." Akashi said. I sighed again.
"What are we going to do with all these sweets?!"
"-no-san! Kashino-san! Ka-shi-no-san!" I woke up to someone yelling at me.
"Sensei...? Sensei!" I said, rubbing my eyes. The whole class was staring at me, some of them snickering. I was asleep...?
"You'll be doing detention and supplementary classes after classes today," She said sternly. "Class is dismissed. Head to your next subject," I sighed. Great, detention. I guess that's what happens when you have practice everyday, for long amounts of time. I yawned. Time for baking, I guess.
"Oi, Kashino," I heard a voice ring through my ears. "Why'd you fall asleep? It's not like you."
"You were worried about me?" I asked him, slightly happy that he was worried about me.
"O-of course not! But, you were the one who told us that we should take care of ourselves." Kuuga said.
"You're right. I'll try to sleep better tonight!" I exclaimed.
"And, you better not be late for practice," He said, walking away. What does he mean by that? Oh, right, supplementary classes.
All through baking, detention, even practice, I was trying hard not to fall asleep. I sighed. I shouldn't stay up to practice anymore... But I have to improve, otherwise the twins will beat me in baking. I was starting to fall asleep again, but a jolt from my phone woke me up.
Incoming call: Okumura Akashi
I pressed answer.
"Hello?" I said.
"Hi Aoi! I heard you passed out during math, so I got worried!" Akashi exclaimed.
"You don't have to be so melodramatic... I just fell asleep," I said, tiredly. "I guess practice is taking it's toll," I added sheepishly.
"Well, rest up! Anyways, Kuuga and I wanted to go to the park tomorrow!" He said, changing the topic.
"Hm... I think I'm free tomorrow, so sure!" I replied happily. I felt like he was grinning.
"Alright, see you then!" Akashi said, hanging up. Well, what to wear? My blouse is dirty, my skirt is wrinkled, so I guess I'll just look through my dresser.
After a while, I finally found something suitable. A purple dress with white polka dots, with a pair of white flats.
It was the day that Akashi, Kuuga and I were going to the park. I brought my phone and wallet just in case, and was walking out of the building. I shoved the two items into my bag.
"Hi!~" I said, waving to Kuuga. "Where's Akashi?" I asked, looking around.
"He's sick. He said not to cancel though, and have a good time." Kuuga replied.
"Oh." I looked away. "Well, this is awkward..." I added, trailing off. He sighed. "I guess we have to respect what he wants. Let's go!" I said, pulling him along.
"K-Kashino! Let go!" He yelled in response.
"Not happening!~" I cheered, running faster.
After a little while, we reached the park. Tired and breathless, we decided to rest. We found a nice shady tree to sit under, and took a break. Kuuga sighed in relief.
"You'd better not do that again," He said. "Wanna get a drink of water?" He asked. I vigorously nodded my head and we stood up once again, not realizing that our hands were still intertwined.
Suddenly, I spotted a cotton candy stand. I broke our hands free and sprinted for it. I could hear Kuuga yelling in the distance, but kept my gaze on the little stand, not letting it out of sight.
A loud honk filled my eardrums, and then it all went black.
Sorry to leave it like that... But hehe, have fun figuring out what happens!
If I never update this again, I'm happy to have made it this far. Thank you to everyone who has viewed, reviewed, favourited, or followed! I'm so glad you guys all supported me in my journey of writing.
