Isabel took Jill's hand and sighed.

"Keith returned wounded. It seems that he injured his leg and was fine, but on the way back the wound got worse and now he's not fine. There is risk."

Jill felt teary eyes. In many times she thought her friend could die and now that he was back and everything would be fine, there he was again fighting for his life.

"Who is taking care of him?" She asked worried.

"Rebecca and her mother."

"It makes me relieved somehow."

"Yes. They can help him."

"I trust them... And what about Leon?"

"He just brought Keith, accompanied by another man and then he left for his village. He didn't want to talk about you, he seemed angry."

"Oh yes, I have so many things to tell you. But tell me this man's name."

"I don't know. But I can only say that he asked to stay with us for a while."

Jill knew that anxiety would not help that time. Though she didn't believe that Chris would ask to stay with the gypsies, her heart wished it was him. She just wanted him to be fine and she needed to know that.

"Mom, I need to find out how many people returned with Leon and Keith and their names. Please."

"Why?"

"A long history. But please find it out for me."

"All right, that won't be difficult. But it'll take me a few days to come back here."

"No problem. Now go, before Wesker think we're planning something. Do not forget to pretend that you're admired and grateful." Jill hugged Isabel "Tell Keith that everything will be alright."

"Sure my dear, I love you."

"I love you too."

Jill knocked on the big door a few times until it was opened. Jill watched her mother leave regretting she was not able to go along with her. She wanted to find out if that man was Chris, she wish she could find it out personally. A week without seeing him seemed like a month.

She didn't know if he would forgive her, but she was willing to find that out.

A few days later Lana was talking to one of the maids while they were preparing a tray with many kinds of fruits. The girl that was helping her made an expression of fear and before Lana heard anything, she knew who had entered that place.

"Leave me alone with Lana."

So as the girl walked out the door, Lana turned to the governor.

"Excella will be locked for a few more days, as I had said. After that I need you to start visiting that place by dawn. Cause I'm not patient for giving her excuses."

"Yes, sir." Lana nodded.

"But that's not what brought me here. I need you to take care of something for me personally. " Wesker grabbed his chin thoughtfully for a few seconds before continuing "Well, find some foods that promote fertility and take them regularly for Miss Valentine."

Lana said nothing, just nodded.

"I also need you to take something from miss Valentine and give it to Deborah, she'll know what to do. Say I'm in a hurry to confirm something" Wesker took the tray of fruit "I'll take these fruits to the basement myself."

'Take some fresh water too, sir" Lana put a jar with water in the tray before turning to Wesker "Excuse me, but how should I act when someone come to visit them?"

"Deborah and her sister are still my prisoners without visit. As for Jill, you can allow visitors but order the guards to be around. Although I know that she would not try anything, for her parents safety."

"I see, sir."

Lana watched Wesker out the door before calling the girl back. She never saw Wesker talk like that before. Although she feared him, she feared Excella even more. Excella was not only cruel but visibly unbalanced. Lana knew Excella would do anything to please the governor, she would even be able to kill. Lana could not even imagine what Excella would do when she found out what was actually the haunting in the basement.

Lana approached the tub, putting the towel on the chair. Jill watched her intently. She looked not older than thirty, though she had a tired appearance. Maybe Lana was working for Wesker for a long time, which certainly was not easy.

Jill looked at Isabel beside the tub and smiled. Now she understood where her cunning came from, Isabel. Seeking for a reason to stay with Jill longer without looking suspicious, Isabel made up that she used to give Jill a bath once a week with flowers essence.

To the surprise of both, Lana didn't question anything, she just helped them prepare the bath with her usual calm and obedience.

The mother grabbed two aromatic bottles and dumped them in the water before helping Jill undress and get into the tub.

"I need to do some things, but if you need something call me, madam."

"Thank you, Lana" Jill smiled watching the maid leave."

"I thought we would never be alone" Isabel said after Lana went out. "And I really want to know everything that happened to you, and also tell you about a dream I had two nights ago that ..."

"Before that, please tell me how is Keith and what you found out..."

"Ah yes! Keith is better, but he still can not walk."

"If he's better that's great news!"

"Yes, he'll be fine." Isabel massaged her daughter's hair "Well ... The guy hiding among us is called Quint. And he didn't want to tell us his origin..."

"But who returned with them?

"Hmm ... He said there were two brothers with them on the trip back." Isabel sat across from Jill.

"And their names?" Jill could not help the anxiety.

"One of them was Chris, the other I can not remember. A very strange name and... you crying?"

"I'm not." Jill opened her eyes preventing the tears from flowing." That's because of the water."

"Oh I see. Well, I don't know anything else ... Quint said no more."

"All right, you already told me what I needed to know..." Jill sighed trying hide the emotion she felt.

"Yes, but I didn't tell you the dream I had yet." Isabel poured some water on her daughter's shoulder before continuing" You were hiding something from me on your hand. After grabbing you I could finally force you to open your hand. There was a seed in the palm of it. Suddenly it became a butterfly and flew."

While listening to everything that her mother had said. Jill was still thinking of Chris. Her feelings were confused. She was surprised, relieved, happy but sad. But all that mattered was whether he was alive and had found his brother.

"What does it mean?" Isabel asked.

"Hã... I do not know. When the dreams are about me, it takes me longer to discover.' Jill Tried to convince her mother, but deep down she knew she hadn't discovered anything because her mind was still with Chris. "But now let's talk about my adventure... and also about who is this man, Chris."

'Yes, tell me everything" Isabel smiled as she waited for Jill to start.

.

.

Jill was lying on her bed, rolling from side to side hoping to sleep soon. But her mind was more stuck in Chris than in the previous days. Knowing that he was alive was a relief, but knowing that he could be near her was a torture. She wanted to get out and look for him.

Although she knew that Isabel would not approve her involvement with the captain, Jill also knew that her mother would never judge her. And as she expected, Isabel said she would always support any decision. That left Jill happy and grateful for having such a fantastic mother.

Thinking about the past events, It took Jill a few minutes to realize that someone had opened the door of her room and penetrated it in the dim light.

Jill sat up in bed hoping to find Lana in front her, but with the moonlight reflection she identified the silhouette of a man. Trying to get up quickly, she felt when the man grabbed her by the wrists and threw her on the bed, lying on of her.

Feeling the bare chest of the man touching her skin, she felt repulsed when she recognized it was Wesker.

Using all her strength she managed to push him away, but he then grabbed her again. Although she could not see his eyes, she could swear he laughed and he was having fun with that moment.

With some movements she pushed Wesker again and he stood up in front of her.

"I appreciate all the fun that you're providing me, miss Valentine. But your freedom needs a very fair price."

"That I lie with you?"

"It would not be fair. We're talking about your and your people freedom, I deserve something special."

"Do you want me to marry you? Never!" Jill rubbed her skin with disgust.

"It's not my wish, don't be conceited. I really intend to release you. But first I just need ..." Wesker again grabbed her by the wrists and lay down on her. "...an heir with your blood."

She was shocked. While he started kissing her neck and caressing her arms, Jill stopped pushing him for a few seconds totally paralysed, while several images flashing into her mind. As if her brain was in a breakdown.
