A Deciding Factor

When Jill saw her own hand opening up with a seed on it and turning into butterfly she could then gather all her forces to push Wesker away again.
"Stop. I'm Pregnant!" She held her head "Oh! I'm already pregnant."
Wesker stopped and pulled her head slightly, his left hand gripped her neck. Jill did not react, she was again static, as if she was seeing something.
"Do you think I'll buy it?" He squeezed her neck a bit.
Again paralyzed by the visions, Jill said breathless:
"Butterfly flying ... Do not take my baby away from me."
At the word butterfly, Wesker released her and stood up immediately, though with his usual calm.
"Butterfly?"
Jill was panting and staring at the same spot on the ceiling.
"You said butterfly?"
Jill said nothing, she was now watching her own body, which trembled incessantly.
"Answer me" Wesker sounded a bit harsh.
"I saw my baby flying like a butterfly... away from me ..." she said trembling.
"Well... it makes sense ..." Wesker stepped back "But I'm afraid we'll have to remove that baby... No wait! Your boyfriend is also gypsy..."
"And...?"
"In fact, a child of yours seems ideal for my plans..." Wesker walked to the door "You're really lucky..." He went out and closed the door behind him without saying anything else, leaving Jill confused.
Jill remained lying on her bed, feeling a deep and real fear. She was not afraid of what almost happened because she would fight until her death for her honor. She feared for the future. Knowing she was not alone at that time brought her sadness for a moment that should be happy, special. "I wanted to tell Chris about the pregnancy, but ..." her fear suddenly turned into anguish "What if the baby is not Chris', but Leon's?" .
Jill realized she was panting. She had never been a libertine woman, she was only in that situation because the man of her life came at the wrong time.
Sure she would not sleep, so Jill decided to walk up to the window and tell the moon about her pain and her doubts. Not because she was seeking for answers, but because she needed relief.

Some days passed until Isabel returned to the aromatic bath. Lana, as before, helped in the preparation of the bath and then went out. Giving both the freedom to talk and giving Jill a chance to break the news to her mother.
"Pregnant?" Isabel's eyes widened "Oh! My dream was that! I knew it."
"This prevented him from touching me..."
"But how did he know about the butterfly?
"It must have something to do with that girl I told you about, Deborah. She must have seen the butterfly and told him. But anyway, I'm afraid of what he wants with my baby. You know what the butterfly flying symbolizes ..."
"Oh! This baby protected you even before it was born" Isabel smiled.
"Yes, but he said he would kill my baby, but when he remembered Leon was my boyfriend he said it would be ideal for his plans. It scares me." Jill closed her eyes.
"You told me it was his grandmother who wrote that book?"
" Yes and she was a gypsy like us. But she used to act with the shadows."
Isabel pulled out a chair and sat down worried.
"Some rituals of gypsies who are engaged with black magic involve sacrifice with newborn babies who are pledged to the spirits of darkness since pregnancy."
"What?" Jill felt her head spin with that information " He is sick. He wanted to make a baby just to sacrifice it?"
"In these rituals, the purity of gypsy blood and strength of parents matter. Wesker knows your strength and line."
"I'll never allow him to get my baby!"
"You know we cannot avoid some of the things we see, but we can change... there is a great chance your baby will be taken away from you somehow." Isabel looked at Jill sadly.
"But we must try, mom. I won't give up." Jill held Isabel's hand "This baby changes everything.I will escape this place tonight and you'll be waiting for me with Dad, so we can go away."
Isabel shook her head and hugged her daughter.
"Ok. But tell me, who is the real father?
"To protect my baby life at this time Leon is the father. Although my soul crave for the opposite." Jill sighed sadly.

Two hooded men walked quickly in the sand on the beach, accompanied by two other guys. The last quarter moon made the night dark, which was good for them. In the distance they could see the camp of the gypsies. Everything seemed calm, they were apparently asleep.
But they followed silently, fearing that some gypsies were watching around the tents and boats.
Fortunately the boat that the two boys were seeking was further away from the huts, which would make their escape easier without being heard.
When approaching the ship, the higher and stronger man got first into it, then pulling the other.
"Nobody knows this girl like me." He pointed to the ship.
"I know." The smallest guy put his backpack on the floor.
"Not yet ... But one day you will."
"Check everything now?"
"Yes, let's start getting ready to leave."
"Let's check guys" the shortest guy ordered the other two men behind.
The two exchanged a friendly smile and each one walked to one side. Less an hour later the two met on the deck.
"Ready?" The shortest asked.
" 's A little risky, but we should leave now."
"I do not think the Gypsy is concerned about this boat, according to the rumors he is sick ... and glad that his daughter will marry the governor. A boat makes no difference for him anymore and..."
"This boat is not his..." the tall one said irritably " And this story of marriage can not be more than rumors."
The taller boy turned and walked away without looking back. In forty minutes, the boat left the beach without raising any suspicion. When they were away from the beach for awhile, the smallest boy entered the cabin.
"We're safe now?"
"Yes, everything under control."
"Do you think our aunt will be fine?"
The taller boy scratched his head, still hooded.
"I think it's less risky for her to stay in the village. As long as the governor does not know we're alive, she's safe."
"Does he really want our heads? I did not want to run away before..."
"I'm not willing to find it out. Would you be willing to fight the whole army right now?"
"No.."
"Warriors wait for the best time to act. Our concern now is to get to a safe place, have a new life and come to rescue our aunt. We need to worry about her well-being. She is all we have."
"I agree with you. But what if the land that our father told us about is just a figment?"
"We'll find another place, my brother. But we need to fight for a better life and for the good of those who we love. Our aunt will be fine for a while, she has enough money to live for almost a year, but I promise I'll be back for her before that."
"And my girlfriend."
"Yes" He said looking ahead " We have this time to prepare and think. When we come back, we'll come back ready to rescue anyone who wants to be rescued and to be happy with us... For a new life." His eyes got lost in the dark ocean.

With the pointed object hidden in her dress again, Jill leaned her head against the bedroom door, holding a pillow. Although she knew there would be some guards in her way, Jill also knew that this was the best time to try to escape, because Wesker was sleeping.
Jill knocked on the door twice without making a loud noise. She wanted just the guard by the door to listen to her.
"Are you calling Lady?" A male voice questioned the outside.
"I'm not feeling well. Please, come in to help me" She said throwing the pillow on her feet.
The door opened and within seconds Jill grabbed the man by the neck with her arm, passing one of her legs on his and bringing him down with his head on the floor. Realizing that he was dizzy, she picked up the pillow and placed it on his face. The man was confused and tried to scream, but the sound was muffled by the pillow. Jill remained so until she realized that he had passed out.
Picking up the sword from the guard, she walked out the door and looked at the huge hall to her left. Jill walked fast, but also silently until she reached the biggest door.
At that moment she wished she knew the house well, as this would make her escape easy. Jill knew that avoiding the main rooms would be avoiding guards and employees. But as she knew very little of that place she had no other alternative but to seek the door that would lead her to the dining room.
Jill knew that her chance of escape the house was not great, but she would never give up. Even more now that she was carrying a piece of herself. From that moment on the decisions in her life could no longer be made incompetently, everything had to be examined and she always had to opt for the safety of her baby.
When she opened the front door slowly, Jill looked around and realized that the place was empty. She then entered and closed the door behind her. The dining room had two doors, one on the right and one on the left. Jill remembered that on the day of the dinner, the servants came in and out through the door on the left, which would probably lead her to the kitchen. And as it was common in every house, there would be a way out in the kitchen, she knew it was where she should go.
When she turned and walked towards the door, Jill felt her eyes get dark and her head get heavy. Feeling dizzy, she could only rely on a chair, before falling to the ground unconscious.
