Jill slowly opened her eyes and realized she was back in the same room from the recent days. Trying to lift her head, she realized that Wesker was standing by the door talking to another man while Lana was putting a water jar on the bedside table.

The maid approached Jill and then turned to the door.

"Sir, she woke up."

Wesker walked to the bed accompanied by the man, who looked at Jill and said:

"How do you feel, miss?"

Confused, Jill shook her head:

"Well, I guess."

"Any pain?"

"No" she replied suspiciously.

The man then waved to Wesker.

"It's like I've already told you. Just follow what I reported and..."

"Okay." Wesker pointed to the door "Let's not worry her."

The man shook his head in agreement and went to the door after Wesker. Jill was able to realize that the two were still talking, though she could not hear what they were saying.

"Lana" she whispered.

The maid was standing by the bed and looked at Jill with some trepidation.

"Lana, what's going on?"

The fearful gaze from Lana was enough to make Jill realize she would say nothing. Perhaps she'd only get answers if talking to Wesker. Jill then tried to get up from the bed, but now Lana moved, she walked up to Jill and grabbed her arm. Jill looked at Lana surprised and the maid made a negative motion with her head.

Jill realized that Lana was not obeying any order from Wesker, her worried look and the nod looked like concern. As if she wanted to prevent Jill from doing something that would not have good results. Jill decided to respect Lana request, she went back to bed. Meanwhile Wesker sent the man away and he returned to her side.

Although she wanted to make many questions to the governor and tell him that she would escape from that place sooner or later, Jill decided to remain silent and wait to see his reaction to her escape.

"You were playing to escape?"

Jill said nothing, just kept looking at him defiantly.

"You are now stuck here not by my casement, Jill, but for your own body. I suggest you not to risk it again..."

"Don't you know another way of doing things, just with threats?"

"Why, this is not a threat... If you try to escape again you'll suffer the consequences of this rebel attitude yourself, and I'll have nothing to do about it."

"What you mean?"

Wesker turned and walked away, ignoring her question.

"Wesker?!" Jill felt her blood boil "Come back here and answer me!"

Jill was even angrier when he looked at her with a smirk. She could swear that his eyes were as red as blood. He turned back to the door and Jill tried to get up, but she was again prevented by Lana who whispered.

"Easy girl!"

Still panting with hate and anger, Jill noted Wesker left and closed the door behind him. He seemed so happy with Jill's irritation that he locked Lana in the bedroom with Jill.

After the cholera outbreak, Jill laid her tired head on the pillow and tried to breathe slowly. Day by day she was increasingly caught in the tangle that Wesker had created for her, Jill felt disgusted. Her eyes watered as she realized that she had not managed to escape as planned.

"Do not cry." Lana said. "I'll tell you what happened."

Before that sentence, Jill opened her frightened eyes. Lana rarely spoke and although Jill has always believed that she was not a bad person, she thought the maid would always be incredibly loyal to Wesker. Jill could not explain, but she knew that Lana was telling her the truth.

"The doctor confirmed your pregnancy" Lana sat on the bed "but he said although it's in the beginning, it seems a high-risky pregnancy. You should avoid physical exertion and especially great emotions. That's why the governor said that."

Jill sighed in relief. She thought maybe Wesker did something to her parents. But knowing the risk with her baby couldn't make her happy.

"I beg you do not let him know I told you that. Just tell him that I suggested bed rest."

"Okay." Jill tried to smile "Anyway, if I miss this baby, he can try to touch me and I don't wanna that either. So I'll rest" Jill frowned "But now what? How can I save my baby from that disgusting man?"

"I'll help you, but I suggest you wait until the baby is born, when you'll be able move again."

" But he wants my baby."

"Not in the early days when your child needs you to strengthen it. You will have a few days to escape."

"Oh Lana ..." Jill gasped indignantly.

"Everything will be fine."

She felt powerless over the situation. She was stuck in herself and could not act. There was nothing she could do to break free from Wesker's hand. Not because she was not capable of, but because she would put her baby at risk. Something she would never do.

If before Jill wanted some time to think about what to do, now that she had all the time to do that, she no longer wanted it.

"Chris, where are you? 'she thought sad when she saw Lana knocking on the door and the soldier open it. Before leaving the maid smiled at Jill and had a smile in response.

Although no one could help her at that moment, Jill felt a little relief knowing that Lana was on her side. A colored lily in the agony swamp.

Helena opened her eyes when she heard some noise in the cell. A soldier brought meal and water for her and her sister. He put the food on the floor and left.

"Deborah?" She called "Deborah wake up."

"Why?" The girl asked yawning.

" Food. Hadn't you said that you were hungry?"

"It's been so long that I've lost the hunger."

"You should have accepted the offer from the governor and gone to a room up in the house."

"And leave you alone here? Never!" Deborah rubbed her eyes before bending down to pick up the food dish.

"I heard a guard say the governor is traveling again, wouldn't it be the best time for us to try to escape?"

"I said I do not want to try to escape."

"Why not, you want to live forever stuck in this place?"

"I know he will not kill me for now because I'm still useful, but I do not want to risk your life, Lena."

"Well, I'd rather risk my life than live forever in this place. I've forgotten how long we are in this horrible, smelly and dark place."

"And haunted."

"I do not think it's haunted. Although it is a bit distant and muffled, I suspect that the sound we hear sometimes is something else, but haunting."

"But I guarantee it's haunting. There are shadows that surround this house because of the governor's mother who could dominate the darkness."

"You think so?"

"Yes, he has tried to use that dark book, but he still needs to get the confidence of spirits of the shadows. After he makes the covenant he shall have power over the scriptures and then dominate the darkness too.

"That's his plan?"

"Part of what I've seen in the last few months behind dreams... But there are some things which I did not understand ..."

"Better not understand." Helena shook her head.

Deborah smiled at her sister admiring her. Helen was a beautiful woman and always enjoyed the freedom. Deborah knew that whole experience was being like a torture for her.

Helena not only tried several times to formulate escape plans but also tried to seduce Wesker without success. Wesker was so obsessed with the book that he did not seem interested in anything else.

There were more than three months since the last time Wesker came to her to have some revelation, as the governor didn't come back again Deborah assumed he was trying to make the pact since then.

Some noises in the hallway and Deborah soon realized that the soldiers were bringing a new prisoner, who seemed to be resisting the arrest. Deborah approached the cage, trying to see the mess.

When the officers approached, she immediately recognized the boy who was being dragged by soldiers while kicking the air, Piers.

"Piers? Piers?" Deborah shouted desperately.

"Deborah?" Piers looked over the guards while being pushed "I'm sorry. I failed you."

After a loud door noise the boy was silent as Deborah crouched on the floor in tears.

Helena ran towards her sister hugging her.

"Oh my God!" Helena exclaimed "Relax, my love, he'll be alright."

Deborah hugged her sister back while crying. Although she cried for sadness before that situation, a part of her cried for happiness to see Piers was alive.

Relaxing on a wooden bench, Jill admired the garden around her. It was not the first time she visited that place, but she was always surprised with such beauty.

On her right a green lawn with fruit trees, some laden with fruit. On her left a smooth lawn, an ideal place for a picnic. In front of her a fountain surrounded by flowers, many flowers. Flowers of all colors, sizes and names.

Any person who observed that colorful and lively garden would not believe all the darkness that reigned inside that house. There in that place, where nature reigned, negative energies had no strength. The nature with its simplicity and purity renewed the air of that place at any moment.

If Jill had a choice, she would choose to remain in that garden. she would not go back to that dark room. But Jill couldn't complain. After months of rest, locked in that place, she received a doctor's recommendation to sunbathe every morning. Wesker tried to avoid it at first, but the doctor was adamant, Jill and the baby needed the morning sun.

Before traveling, Wesker, used to follow Jill at the distance in the garden every morning, as if he did not trust his own soldiers, even though she would not have the strength to try to run or fight to escape. To ensure that she would not run away while he was traveling to Rockfall, Wesker wisely took Dick and Isabel with him.

There were three weeks they were gone and Wesker had promised to return before the baby's birth, which would occur in approximately one month.

Jill spotted Lana walking towards her and she stroked her belly, anxious. Before traveling, Isabel had told Jill that she asked for Leon's help a few months ago. She told him about the pregnancy and Jill's situation and the guy promised to help her, but he disappeared a few days after the meeting with her mother and no one knew of his whereabouts since then.

Taking advantage of the absence of Wesker and mainly Excella, who was always trying to watch everything, Jill and Lana tried to find something about him, in a discreet manner.

"And then, Lana? Tell me you finally got good news" Jill asked as the maid approached.

"Oh" Lana said trying to catch her breath "Finally some news. He is alive."

Among all the bad news for months Jill had a great one, Jill sighed and smiled in appreciation. Leon was alive.

Hi dear ones.

How have you been? I hope you've been doing fine.

Oooooh can you guys imagine Jill with a belly bump? How cute would that be?

Well, I know last chapters have been really dramatic for Jill. But thing's seem to be getting a little better now. Next chapter we'll have a surprise.

Now Excella is under control because she has Wesker close to her. But how long will it last? Lol

Thank you for reading this and thanks specially for the reviews and faves. I really appreciate that.

Mister Valentine: That was funny to read you taking all conclusions about the hooded guys. It was like you were thinking out loud. Heheheh But I liked that, cause I could analyse the impressions it gave you. But in fact I didnt plan to make that so mysterious, I let it as a way to realize who I was talking about.

Of course I can't say what I plan about Jill's pregnancy. LOL. This is is meant to be misterious LOL.

And of course you have to be angry at Wesker. That means I've reached my goal which is to write Wesker. If we are not angry, he is not Wesker :D

Thank you very much for the review! Cyaaaaa! kissssssssss!
