For the ones who are Jill Valentine fan like me, I'd like to invite you to read my new story Behind The Guns.

As a Jill fan, of course I love valenfield first place. But since I planned to write something different and face a challenge, I added Jill and Leon to the poll I did here and I got 2 votes. So I decided to give it a try.

To be honest I'm into this pairing the more I write or study about the characters, because I realized that capcom gave Leon and Jill similar attention and details that could give me the chance to try to do something good. They are not only badass, they are both sexy and even sexier together. Besides Leon is the only character I could imagine with Jill, if it's not Chris.

I plan a story with conflicts but very sexy and sweet. So I hope you guys give it a try.

Saving the Savior

Before Jill could say anything, she felt his hand grab her wrist firmly and pull her close. Close enough to recognize that essence that she missed so much.

Although firm, Chris was not holding her with aggression.

"I don't see your face, but I always recognize your voice, Jill." He whispered "You keep visiting me with this cloak in my dreams after all this time."

Jill felt her legs and hands trembling. Not because she was afraid of the hate that Chris could feel for her. She just felt too nervous to meet him after so long. There were so many nights wishing he would rescue her, so many mornings longing to wake up next to him. Many walks in the garden dreaming of the day she could see him again. Now there he was in front of her, but in a totally unexpected circumstance.

Jill had never thought she would find Chris in prison.

She pulled her arm gently back and pulled her hood, she wanted to look in his eyes as she had done in the cave for the last time. Although with a stubble beard, Chris looked the same. She was sure she would find a man with cruel eyes, but she found the same big captain with sweet eyes.

"I understood that correctly?" Jill asked in a low voice "You came here to prison to save your brother?"

"I did."

"But you broke into a jail once, why didn't you do that again?"

"And kill innocent soldiers? Many ones here just obey the orders from that sick man. I don't need to carry more deaths on my shoulders."

"And now, Chris?"

"I have not decided yet. It only matters that I know how to make hard choices and sacrifice myself for those who I love. I don't leave them behind."

Jill just looked down. She did not realize that Chris was analyzing her body, probably recognizing the pregnant belly.

"So what they say is true..."

"What do they say, Chris?"

"That the governor was so happy to get his treasure that he turned you into his lady, and that you were giving him a heir."

Jill opened her eyes and mouth in surprise and indignation. Tears formed in her eyes, but she decided to fight back tears.

"And you believe what they say?"

"I believe in what I see."

"Sometimes even what is before our eyes is not what we think it is."

"You're pregnant, Jill. There is no other truth." Chris rested his head on the bars and sighed before lifting it again and looking at Jill "Unless this child is not the governor's."

Jill pulled the hood back covering her face, to avoid him notice the tears in her eyes.

"Is this my baby, Jill?"

Jill stepped back, preventing Chris from catching her arm and pulling her close again.

"Jill, answer my question."

"There's nothing to answer." Although she wanted to tell him that the child was his, she really did not know what to answer.

"Say it is mine and I will escape this prison today. Or say that you wanna be with me, that you're not helping the governor and I'll carry on my shoulders how many deaths I need to escape this place and save you. Answer me Jill." Chris shook the bars.

Jill felt that she was going to faint at any moment. Without looking back she kept walking towards the door, she wanted to scream for Lana, but she failed.

Staggering, Jill reached the door, but she could not resist the dizziness and sat on the stairs, with one hand she knocked on the door, praying for Lana to hear it.

Luckily, Lana opened the door and came to her. Gerard took Jill in his arms and Lana closed the prison door.

As she was being carried back to the bedroom, Jill began to breathe better. But she knew her malaise happened not just because of the wet and stuffy place. Being face to face to Chris in that circumstance and especially hear Chris' last words brought her strong emotions too. The same emotions that the doctor had ordered her to avoid.

She was relieved not to have answered his question. Give him the doubt would prevent him do any foolishness to save her. And Jill had really no certainty to give him.

That night was not so clear and it was perfect for Jill and Lana's plan. Lana walked through the garden bringing Jill by the hand. Jill followed her in silence.

Part of the servants were sleeping, only some watched the mansion and in that part of the garden where Lana positioned Jill, no one could see them.

"You'll stay here." Lana said when she stopped.

"Let me go Lana, I need to talk to them."

"Jill, you put your baby's life at risked before. Trust me, I will do as you planned."

Jill sighed. She felt she had to speak with them, but Lana was right. That was neither a place nor a condition for a pregnant woman.

"You're right."

"You stay here. Look over there" Lana pointed to her right "Piers is behind those trees waiting with horses. Gerard will wait for me at the prison door, I will open the cells and release Deborah and Helen first. Then I will release Chris. When I'm releasing Leon, Gerard will tell our friend to scream "Lana now pointed to the left "The soldier will appear in the stable shouting to attract all the soldiers attention and allow Chris, Leon, Deborah and Helena to leave the prison meanwhile towards Piers. You need to stay alert, the soldiers can not go in that direction before I return. So if any of them get out of the stable, you will start to scream and pretend to be in pain to get their attention. Am I right?"

"Yes, Lana, it is exactly as we planned." Jill nodded.

"Everything will be all right, dear."

"I know" Jill held Lana before she left. "Tell Chris that my baby is not his, but he has my respect and then I want him to go and to be happy." Jill chose to be strong in the situation "Tell Leon I need him to go to the village and be prepared because as soon as my parents arrive, we will contact him for an escape plan. Tell him he can not do anything crazy, he needs to wait for my orders."

Lana nodded to Jill, the two shook hands and smiled before Lana came out running towards the house, to the prison direction.

To tell Chris that the baby was not his would be a way to prevent him to put his life at risk to help her. At that moment all that mattered to Jill was to save them, not to be saved.

By asking the soldier they trusted to come into contact with Piers, Lana and Jill found the perfect excuse for that escape. In fact they just helped Piers to free his friends, as he wanted.

The silence of the night brought Jill anxiety that she could not control. The next twenty minutes dragged on so Jill felt she could hear her own heart beating.

Jill suddenly saw the soldier enter the stable and yelling out:

"Horses! Someone stole horses! Come here."

Within seconds some soldiers began to run towards the stable and Jill managed to realize they were talking loudly, although she could not understand anything.

Jill felt a little dizzy because of the tension of the moment. She decided to sit a bit on the ground, behind a tree, where Jill could still see movement in the stable on her left. More soldiers were arriving every moment. They were probably checking the amount of horses in order to confirm whether they were actually stolen. That was planned for Lana to give them time.

Jill stood up again when she felt better. She could then look to the right side and at that moment she saw Lana walking towards her and she felt relieved. Everything had worked out ok.

Jill was waiting for Lana to approach when she felt a strong and known hand grab her wrist and pull her. Jill looked back knowing who she would find there.

"What are you doing?" - Jill asked

"I need to hear from you to believe it"

"Hear what, Chris?"

"That this baby is not mine and you want me to disappear from your life."

"Chris..."

"What is he doing here?" Lana asked frightened behind Jill "The soldiers will soon begin to investigate the entire area, are you crazy?"

"Chris, go away!" Jill said firmly.

"Answer me!" Chris pulled her close.

"Jill, solve it quickly. I'll see what I can do to get the soldiers away for now."

"Okay." Jill responded to Lana before Chris hold her face and turned it to him.

"Jill. I can't believe that what we lived was a lie. Your eyes tell me that you feel the same I do, even when your words said the opposite."

"Chris, stop!"

"Jill, let's get out of here now! Come with me."

Jill closed her eyes trying to ignore his words. Suddenly Jill heard and felt something different so she touched her belly frightened.

Chris stepped back when he realized something was wrong.

"Jill?"

"The water broke." Jill said feeling dizzy again. In a spontaneous movement she looked for his arms. She was scared, worried.

Jill hugged Chris, feeling her legs weak. Chris took her in his arms and started walking in the opposite direction to the stable.

"Chris, take me to Lana" Jill said weakly.

"No! I'll take you to myself." He said as he walked quickly.

Although taken by a mixture of uncertainty and fear, Jill said nothing. She let him carry her far away while she was lack of prudence.

In fact that could explain why Piers saved Chris this life, because he put him in trouble more than once the previous life. :D

I also feel bad for Leon, hes a very nice guy. He deserves a good ending, I know.
