I was planning on posting this like last week, but I didn't get it done in time, sorry! I had been hooked on watching Black Butler and also couldn't concentrate for some reason lol. Anyways, thank you for the 18 reviews on the last chapter! :)

I want to dedicate this chapter to Spamano Love Child (for having such an awesome review and also for becoming a new friend of mine! ^_^)

Disclaimer: I don't own Ghost Hunt! ...I'm really not sure if that's a good or bad thing!

Mai's POV

After everyone went home from the...eventful dinner we had, Naru insisted that he'd drive me home since it was so late out. I tried to get him to change his mind, but he wouldn't take no for an answer. Normally I wouldn't mind him taking me home since he's been doing it almost everyday for a week now, but I couldn't look at him without blushing bright red. Seriously. After Naru and I had followed Lin out the kitchen and back to the table, everyone immediately started asking us questions all at the same time when they saw us. All I could make out was the words 'sleeping', 'Naru', and 'pregnant' and when I recalled Lin saying they were making 'ridiculous conclusions' I had instantly known what they were asking.

To make matters worse, Naru had told them that even though I was not pregnant—I don't even wanna know how they got that idea—it really wasn't any of their business what we did. The way he said it just implied that we had done it. So when everyone became even louder than they had been before, Naru had been forced—due to irritation—to tell them that, no, we haven't done...that. For me it just caused further awkwardness and embarrassment. And then later on Madoka had mentioned something about us going to England which caused a bunch commotion again from Monk and the others. I had felt gulity because I completely forgot to tell them that...little detail.

Before I got out of the car to head up to my apartment, Naru had kindly told me not to worry about coming to the office tomorrow. Apparently Luella got the dates on the tickets wrong and we'll be leaving Sunday night instead of Monday morning. Naru said to just start packing and take care of what needed to be done while I'm gone, and that they would pick me up at seven thirty tomorrow night. So that's exactly what I did. I got a neighbour to watch over my apartment and I got everything packed, double checking to make sure I didn't forget anything. Naru said to carry whatever I needed to entertain me on our twelve hour flight. Seriously, that long? Oh, I won't need to take that much for my entertainment, Naru, because you're going to be it! I'm going to bug you so much that you'll want to jump out the plane!

True to his word, Naru started knocking at my door a little before seven thirty that night. I let him in then ran to get my luggage out of my bedroom. To my surprise, Naru took my bags right out of my hands as I got to the door. The only thing I was holding now was my carry-on.

"Is this everything?" Naru asked. I swept my eyes over my apartment to make sure, for the third time, that I did have everything. I nodded and we left.

Our plane wasn't scheduled to leave until ten, but Naru said we had to be there early, so we just sat at the airport for a couple hours waiting to board the plane. While I was sitting, the realization that I never rode a plane before suddenly hit me. I'm not all that scared of heights so that shouldn't be a problem but...

"Dear, are you okay?" Luella asked worriedly from her position beside me, gaining the others' attention. "You've been fidgeting non-stop for a while now..."

"Oh, ah... Yeah, I'm fine. I've just never...been on a plane before."

Luella gave an 'ah' sound.

"Everything will be perfectly fine, Mai. There's nothing to worry about." Martin tried to assure me.

"Yeah, it's not like the plane will crash!" Madoka said, laughing, causing my eyes to widen in fear. Everyone sent her a 'you're not helping' look. Madoka just shrugged.

"What...?!"

"Relax, Mai." Naru said as he placed his hand on top of mine. I looked at him from where he sat on the other side of me and I instantly felt calm. I slowly nodded. Oh why do you have to have this effect on me?

I started to take deep breaths to keep myself calm. Then there was an annoucement that our plane was starting to board. We grabbed our luggage and got up.

"Besides, Mai, it's not like Naru's going to let anything happen to you."

When the plane began to take off, I automatically grabbed onto Naru's arm. It wasn't until later on—safely in air—that I realized I was still holding onto him. I blushed and pulled away mumbling an apology. Naru said nothing, he didn't even tell me to release his arm earlier either. How odd. Surely he must have noticed. I shook my head and mentally sighed, trying not to think about how weird Naru was acting. Although since Luella and Martin are sitting in their seats in front of us, and Madoka and Lin are behind us, he probably didn't want to say anything in case they heard. Yeah, that had to be it.

I glided my eyes across the plane to look around and at the other passenagers. First class... Why does that not surprise me? I'm afraid to even know what the cost for everything was. I'll have to remember to thank Martin and Luella later. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back to rest. It's been an hour already since we took off and I'm beginning to get bored. I cracked an eye open to look at Naru. He had his nose stuffed in a book he was reading. Lifting up my head and leaning in towards Naru, I tried to see what he was reading, but of course it just had to be in English.

I couldn't take the boredom any more so I decided to entertain myself.

Commence Operation: Annoy the Heck Out of Naru.

"Hey, Naru." He ignored me so I poked his shoulder. "Naru."

Poke.

"Naru. Naru, do you hear me?"

Poke, poke.

"Naaaruuu."

Po—

Naru snapped his book shut and grabbed my hand to prevent me from poking him again.

"Yes, I hear you. It's quite hard not to." Naru said giving me a steadily gaze. "What do you want?"

"I'm bored."

Naru sighed exasperatedly and pinched the bridge of his nose. "Didn't I tell you to bring something to keep you busy?"

"Yes, and I did—I brought a few things."

"Then why aren't you using them?"

"Because I want you to entertain me."

Naru narrowed his eyes before turning back to his book.

"No." He stated with finality. Oh, I don't think so, I'm not finished with you yet!

"Please Naru~?" I sang sweetly. "Play with me~!"

"No."

"Why not?!" I shrieked causing some of the people around us to look at us. I heard Madoka giggle from behind me. Naru chose to ignore answering me. I sat there grumpily, drumming my fingers on the arm rest with my chin resting on the palm of my other hand, while trying to think of another idea. Finally, I thought of one. I'm not sure if it's good or that it'll work but at least I thought of one. So I threw myself across Naru towards the window. Half of my body was basically lying on Naru's lap. I looked at him from the corner of my eye to find him holding his stupid book above me and still reading it like nothing happened! I was hoping I had knocked it out of his hands, but no, he just had to move it out the way!

"Now what are you doing?" He asked. He didn't even bother sparing me a glance.

"Looking out the window." I responded innocently.

"It's dark outside, Mai, you won't be able to see anything." His voice didn't show any sign of annoyance whatsoever. In fact it looked like he didn't care if I got up or not. I huffed and plopped back down in my seat. Why is it that every time I try to annoy Naru I'm the one who gets irritated instead? "I'm just stating a fact, Mai. There's no reason to get upset about it."

"I'm not mad about that." I grumbled and looked away which caused me to miss Naru's smirk. Mission failed.

It was close to an hour later when I started to get sleepy. I kept dozing off only to jerk back awake. I tried to stay awake, but sleep finally won me over. I landed on something soft but firm as I unknowingly leaned over.

In my half-conscious state, I snuggled more into my 'pillow' and sighed in contentment. But then I caught a whiff of a combination of tea and cologne that smelled a lot like... Naru! Popping my eyes open, I started to panic inwardly. I slowly began to lift my head off his shoulder, not knowing if he was awake or not. When I saw he was asleep though, I breathed in relief. Who knows what he would've said to me if he was awake. I carefully pulled away from his side and sat up straight in my seat.

"Are you awake now?" I heard Luella ask. I blinked a few times to get my vision in focus and found Luella looking at me from over her shoulder. I nodded as I rubbed my eyes. "We should have about four more hours until we land." She said quietly.

"Really?" I questioned in the same tone of voice. "I slept just about the whole way..." Luella laughed softly. I yawned and glanced behind me at Lin and Madoka and then at Martin to find me and Luella were the only ones awake. My eyes couldn't help but travel back to Naru. His face looked so angelic and peaceful.

"Mai." I snapped my eyes back to Luella, blushing at being caught staring at her son. Although he is suppose to be my 'boyfriend' right now. Luella smiled at me. "I was wondering... How about I teach you some English?"

"...Eh?"

And so... Luella spend three hours trying to teach me a little bit. She said that since I was going to England that I would need to learn a few things, and surprisingly I did! Nothing major though, just things like greetings and such and some small sentences...which I hope I can remember. Luella was a great teacher though. Oh, and Madoka too—she woke up about an hour after we started and began to help also. Martin and Lin had woken up later on. They didn't join in on our 'lesson', but they had their in-puts here and there. When Naru began to stir though, we put an end to our lesson. I didn't want him to hear us, who knows what kind of callous remarks would come out of his mouth—not that I told anyone that. Luella said it should be a surprise for me to show him and told everyone not to tell him what we were doing. I just agreed to that.

When we landed in England, it was raining. Pouring even. Just my luck. Dejectedly I stared out the airport window as we waited for Martin to get off the phone with their driver—I can't believe they have a driver! Naru came up to me and stood beside me.

"It doesn't always rain like this...does it?" I asked still looking at the rain.

"Not always. Just sometimes."

I had to hold back a groan. I hope it'll be cleared up by tomorrow, well, actually I should say later today since it's two in the morning here. 'It's weird how the time differences work.' I thought off-handedly.

"Noll, Mai, let's go!" Martin called us. I bent down and grabbed my luggage before following Naru and the others.

The ride to the Davis' house was actually pretty quiet, excluding the sound of the rain pounding on the window. Did I mention I hate the rain and storms? No? Well, I do. When I heard Lin say we were almost there, I began to get excited. I'd finally get to see where Naru and Gene grew up!

...And now I know why Naru has such a big apartment. He probably thinks it's small compared to his house—if you could call it that. Heck, he must think my apartment is a closet! ...Okay, okay, maybe I'm exaggerating. Maybe. I'm not sure.

We got our bags and ran into the house. Just in those few minutes we were soaked. I dropped my things and held my arms out to the side because my clothes were sticking to me. I then was handed a towel to dry off with. I mumbled a thank you and glanced at the person to find that it was a maid with long, black hair. A maid?! I stared in awe as she gave Madoka a towel. I noticed there was a blonde maid too—that one was giving Lin one.

"I swear, it's raining cats and dogs out there." I tilted my head to the side in confusion at Luella's odd statement. "Oh, thank you, Melissa." Luella said in English to the maid, who was the one that was tending to Lin earlier, as she handed her a towel. Wait, I actually knew what she said! Ha, yay me!

After everyone had a towel, the two maids left the foyer and disappeared into a room in the corridor.

"Alright everyone, go and change out of those wet clothes before my floor is ruined! Then it's probably best to try and go to sleep." Luella stated.

"Sleep?" I asked. "But didn't we just wake up a few hours ago?"

"While it's true that yes we did, it's better to try and go ahead to get use to the time difference so you won't be as jetlagged." Madoka explained. I nodded my head in understanding. That kinda made sense.

"Well, falling back asleep shouldn't be hard for Mai. Any time she sits still long enough she falls asleep." Naru so helpfully said as he walked passed me with his luggage. Even though that's kinda true, I couldn't help but feel a little annoyed.

"Madoka..." Luella said slowly before I could yell at Naru. "Show Mai to one of the bathrooms upstairs, would you?"

"Sure! Come on, Mai!" Madoka dragged me up the grand stairwell where Naru had disappeared to. She suddenly let out a soft chuckle as we reached the top step. "I noticed you seemed surprised when you saw Melissa and Angela." Oh, she must be talking about the maids.

"Yeah, a little... Do you know how many there are? Maids, I mean."

Madoka nodded. "It's only those two. Luella likes doing things herself instead of someone doing it for her, but with this huge house, Martin insisted she needed some help. Ah, here we are!" Madoka stopped in front of the bathroom. "Luella will be here soon to show you to your room." She informed before leaving.

I got the things I needed out my luggage then went into the bathroom to change. When I came out, Luella was already waiting by the door with my luggage in her hands. I noticed she had already changed. She smiled when she saw me and began walking, indicating for me to follow.

"I must apologize, Mai. I forgot that all of the guest rooms are being remodeled." Luella said as we came to a stop in front of another door. "So I hope you don't mind staying in here." She quickly gave me my luggage and swiftly opened the door before gently pushing me inside. I heard her mutter 'Have a good night' before closing the door. I stared at said door for a moment in confusion until I heard his narcissist voice.

"Mai, what are you doing here?"
