Jennel's POV:

I'm lay in the middle of mine and Demi's bed while Demi attempts to clean out the closet, which let's be honest is going to take at least a week because she just buys clothes and doesn't wear them then they get shoved in the damn closet. I should be wearing pyjamas right now, but no, apparently we're going out with Dallas and Marissa tonight so I have to stay clothed, which is rude because lying down in jeans and a t-shirt is not comfy.

"Jennel come here!" Demi yells from inside the closet, I roll my eyes and then push myself off, standing up and running my fingers through my hair as I walk from the bed towards the closet, I push the door so it's open enough for me to walk in, I step inside and then glance towards Demi. She's stood there, smirking at me while holding my old leather jacket, the leather jacket that I wore every day in high school, the same damn leather jacket that I wore the night Demi and I first met.

"Where the fuck did you find that?"

"On the top shelf, along with this." She replies, throwing the jacket at me and then holding up the year book from my senior year, I let out a groan because teenage Jennel was an asshole and she was also a pot head. "Put the jacket on, please." She whines, pouting at me as she steps closer to me. I glare at her and then slide the jacket on, smirking at her as she blatantly checks me out.

"Like what you see Miss Lovato?" I ask, winking at her as she gets closer to me, backing me against the wall behind me while smirking at me.

"It's Lovato-Garcia now but whatever." She mumbles, grabbing hold of the collar on the jacket, pulling me close to her and then smashing her lips against mine, I just smirk against her lips, wrapping my arms around her waist, sliding my hands into the back pockets on her jeans.

"You never answered my question."

"Oh I do like what I see, also you're wearing that when we go out." She whispers against my lips, sucking my bottom lip into her mouth causing me to let out a moan, she pulls away and smirks at me, placing her hands on my arms and pulling my hands out of her back pockets before walking away from me.

"That was mean and no I'm not wearing this."

"Yes you are." She replies, glancing over her shoulder as I slide my hands into the pockets of the jacket, I graze my fingers over my old lighter and a half empty pack of cigarettes from the last time I wore this jacket. I pull them out of the pockets and spin the lighter between my thumb and my index finger while holding the pack in the opposite hand. I spark the lighter and then blow the flame out before doing it again. Wow I feel like teenage Jennel again, leaning against a wall, wearing a leather jacket, messing with a lighter after making out with Demi, flashback much.

I open the packet and smirk to myself because not only has it got about ten cigarettes in it, it also has two joints in it. I take one out of the box and place it between my lips before lighting it, even though it's going to taste like crap because it's been in here for years. Demi turns to face me the second I light it, she glares at me and then marches towards me, yes teacher Demi still exists.

"Not in here, not ever."

"Demi, stop being so uptight." I say, taking it out of my mouth and blowing the smoke out before stubbing it out against the box because it tastes shit. "Let's get some fresh pot and get high baby." I suggest, smirking at her, sliding the stale joint back into the back and then shoving it back into the pocket of the jacket. I grab the belt loops on her jeans, pulling her closer to me and pressing my lips against her.

"No."

"Come on Demi, you know you miss it."

"Jennel, no. Last time we got high it was just after Dani turned fourteen, and then we said we wouldn't do it again." She says, still glaring at me while also giving me teacher eyes, stop.

"Just once Demi, please. I'll text Lauren, CeCe, Wes, Dallas and Marissa. It'll be like old times, Wes will bring his guitar, Demi please, and I'll make it worth your while."

"What about the kids?" She asks, which means that she's thinking about it.

"They know I used to smoke it, plus Dani is staying at Sophie's and Dylan is at your mom's." I reply, leaning forwards and pressing my lips against hers. "Please."

"Okay then."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes, have you still got a dealer?" She asks, kinking her eyebrow at me and then kissing me again, I kiss her back, sucking her bottom lip into my mouth.

"No but Wes can get some."

"Fine, call everyone and tell them to be here by eight and also to bring something to burn because you made me buy a fire pit and we haven't used it yet."

"God I love you."

"Yea you should, also you're never wearing that jacket again, turns you into a pot head."

"You love it baby." I reply, kissing her one more time before I walk out of the closet, walking towards the bed and grabbing my phone before sending one text to everyone.

[6:32pm] Jennel: Come round tonight, I found my old jacket and Demi made me wear it, so long story short I talked her into getting high tonight, also Wes bring your guitar and everyone bring something to burn we have to use this damn fire pit before she yells at me for buying it :)

I lock my phone and then throw it back on to my bed, sliding the jacket off and hanging it off the edge of the bed before lying in the middle of the bed as Demi walks out of the closet. She straddles me and just smiles at me before leaning down and kissing me.

"What was that for?" I ask, kissing her again while she continues smiling at me.

"Just because."

"I love you."

"I love you too."

~~~
It's eleven at night, Demi has taken control of the fire away from me, but only because I tried to burn several important things and I kept poking it. Wes is playing his guitar with CeCe on his lap, Dallas is lay in the middle of the lawn, Demi is sat on one side of me, holding my hand, Marissa is sat on the other side of me with her head on my shoulder and a joint in her hand and Lauren is sat in front of the fire cooking things. So far we've had burnt marshmallows, burnt toast and beyond burnt sausages, but when you're high you don't give a fuck what it tastes like you just want to eat everything.
Everyone has a beer and I'm just happy because I feel like I have no worries, I'm not worried about work, I'm not worried about the fact Dylan is failing most of his classes and I'm not worried about the fact that Wes has almost fallen into the fire six times in the past hour.
"Put the jacket on." CeCe says causing Demi to eagerly nod her head at me while Wes just sits there smiling like an idiot.
"I don't want to move."
"I'll get it." Demi say far too enthusiastically, standing up and then running towards the back door, she takes about five minutes to open it, but she finally gets inside and probably falls over before going upstairs because it takes her ten minutes before she's walking out of the house again.
She's smirking at me while holding the jacket out for me to grab hold of. I take it off her and stand up, sliding it on and then grabbing the joint that Marissa is holding out to me, I place it between my lips as I sit down again, pulling Demi with me so she's sat on my lap.
"You still look the same." Wes says, smirking at me, I just flip him off as Demi begins kissing my neck. God it's times like these when I actually miss being a teenager, I slowly start to slide my free hand up Demi's shirt, tracing circles on her back.
"You need to start wearing this again." She whispers into my ear, dragging her tongue over the shell of my ear as the back gate is loudly opened. She jumps slightly and everyone stares towards the gate, Dani is stood there with about three of her friends and they're all just staring at us.
"M-mom, what are you doing?" She asks as Demi hides her head in my neck, Marissa is laughing, Lauren is still cooking (burning) food, whereas Wes and CeCe just look scared, like they've just been caught by their mom's.
"Nothing D, what are you doing here?"
"I-I forgot something."
"Okay, well we're just going to be out here you go inside with your friends." I say as Demi begins to laugh against my neck. "Demi shut the fuck up."
"Mom are you high."
"What? No, why would you think that?"
"You're holding a joint." She points out, narrowing her eyes at me, okay stop I'm the parent and you're the child please stop glaring at me.
"Just go inside."
"Why are you getting high?"
"Because I can Dani, we're having fun, now go inside and find what you forgot please." I say, my voice becoming stern, Dani just shakes her head at me before opening the back door and walking inside, her friends following her.
"Fuck, who knew you were the strict mom."
"Shut up Demi, she's going to hate us tomorrow."
"Why? She knew we got high when we were younger." She replies, making me face her before she presses her lips against mine.
"Yea but I told her I wouldn't."
"When?"
"Like two hours after we told them the story about how we met."
"Well you fucked up." She states before laughing because Lauren has not only burnt something but she managed to set it on fire.
"I'm going to talk to her."
"Okay, I love you, tell her that I love her too." She says as I stand up, I lean down and press my lips against hers before walking towards the back door and then walking into the house. God this is what it felt like when I had to see Jess and I'd done something to piss her off.
"Dan!" I yell, shutting the back door behind me and then walking towards the kitchen to get a glass of water, she doesn't answer me to I walk through the house, drinking water and shouting her name.
"Come on Dani, answer me." I say as I get to her bedroom, I slowly push the door open and find her sat on her bed, crying with her friends sat round her trying to console her. "Can you guys leave?"
"S-sure Mrs Lovato-Garcia."
"Call me Jennel." I say, smiling at them as they walk out of her room, I step inside and shut the door behind me before walking towards her bed and sitting next to her.
"Go away."
"Dan please, just let me explain."
"J-just tell me why, you promised me."
"I know I promised you and I'm sorry that I broke that promise, but I just wanted to have fun, I wanted to be young again. I wanted to be the 18 year old your mom fell in love with and I wanted to feel what it felt like to be high again." I explain, wrapping my arm around her and pulling her closer to me. "You know I love you."
"Y-you promised though."
"I know."
"D-did mom make you do it?"
"What? No, you mom hates the idea of getting high. I had to talk her into it, but listen she's funny when she's high and I'm not going to smoke anymore tonight so why don't you send your friends home and you can stay here and watch what happens when your mom's high and when Lauren tries to cook food and then you can ask Aunt Dallas why she's lay in the middle of the lawn."
"Are you sure mom won't yell?"
"She won't yell, she's too happy to yell ay anyone right now."
"O-okay, I'll say bye to my friends." She says, standing up and weakly smiling at me and then walking out of her room, she holds the door open for me, I get off her bed and follow her out of the room and down the stairs.
"I love you babygirl."
"I love you too mom, even when you act like a teenager."
"Just trying to fit in." I reply, walking back into the garden as she walks towards her friends. I sit back down and pull Demi back onto my lap, taking the joint off her and taking one last drag before Dani come into the garden.
"She okay?"
"She's fine, I love you Demi."
"I love you too Jennel."
