So here is the 'Cut'chapter with much more detail and I promise to continue the next chapter accordingly.

They woke with their foreheads touching a smile on their lips that lead to a long morning of lounging and two showers much to Klaus' chagrin. He knew it was coming, he knew when he met her she was important not just to him but that she was meant for more.

This trip was going to prove it, he thought, as his girlfriend had been promoted to head buyer which lead to her two day business trip she refused to let him join her on. Caroline had her faculties in order writing checklists and packing or re-packing for days after she found out.

She had come over with an excitement that could not be tamed to tell him how she had moved up and desperately wanted to celebrate. After a tremendous weekend of love making it was time for her to go. She reviewed her post-its mentally checking off everything she needed to do or make sure was tuned off before she left which was what she was in the middle of doing when she felt his arms wrap around her.

She hadn't heard the facet switch off but she sensed Klaus before she felt his warmth behind her sending tingles everywhere. "I really do I have to go and you naked wet and in a towel isn't helping," she told him without any edge in her voice as she turned in his embrace.

"My nerves are at the highest degree right now." She tried to say as he kissed her neck wetting his lips to warm her. Caroline shook with excitement her thin shirt doing nothing to cover her body from his, "I'm so tense, I'm not kidding." She whimpered.

"Let me help you with that then," he said pulling her closer his mouth gluing itself to hers she moaned wanting to be mad at him or herself for reacting the way she did. She could roll her eyes if they weren't closed she wished they had a few more hours.

She could hear Elena in the back of her mind saying this was the honeymoon phase, but Caroline didn't see it that way, there was no way it wouldn't feel like this forever. She whined when he pulled away from her, "Give me another one," she pleaded perking up her lips.

"A small one or I'll drag you back to bed," he said kissing her far more intensely than he just had to the point where she could feel pleasure radiating in her knees. "Better?" he asked looking at her until she nodded. "You'll do great." He assured her.

She tried to block out the sound of his chuckles and finally pulled over after many attempts at parallel parking that left Klaus' stomach sore from laughter despite the numerous death glares she sent his way. "It's not funny," she insisted as she pulled into the side parking spot finally readjusting the wheel before shutting the engine off.

He could hardly catch his breath but he tried so very hard for her, "I know, I know," gasping he replied his voice mixed with amusement as he looked at her stern face trying to calm down. He placed a hand over his mouth trying to compose himself.

"Then stop laughing," she said swatting him in the chest as he fought to get himself together in the passenger side of her rental car knowing he was going to miss these small moments with her the next few days Klaus caught her hand holding it in his.

He was at a loss for words not trusting himself as he fought to wipe the grin from his face until he shook his head shaking away the laughter. "I did, see?" he said rubbing his pink cheeks making her begrudgingly smile at him. He grinned back at her sensing her cool off a bit.

"You're going to feel very silly when I shove you out of my car with my feet," she warned playfully as she began unbuckling her seat belt. He stopped her by pressing his lips to hers wanting to have something to remind her of him the days she was away just in case the night before didn't take care of that.

His eyes searched hers as if memorizing hers, her lashes her redden cheeks and soft pink lips as he pulled back from their kiss she looked disconcerted but he smiled either way. "Just say it one more time," he asked looking affectionately into her eyes wishing he could whisk her away for a few days instead.

Caroline couldn't resist him when he acted this way melting down every protective barrier she built up to resist him. She couldn't deny him his one request either when she was happy to say it. "I love you," she whispered stealing one last kiss, "Now go to work or your siblings will kill me."

"Bekah get over here," Kol cried almost as out of breath as Klaus was currently, "It's precious," he called behind him to his sister and brother. "Ah I can't," he exclaimed as he leaned his arm over the glass window setting his head to rest there.

"Are they still out there?" Rebekah asked coming up behind Kol who was still gawking at his older brother from the display window. She crossed her arms as she approached him frowning at his need for binoculars.

Kol shrugged as he handed them to her, "Yes, Caroline finally learned how to park however," Kol said with a bit of humor even though his sister rolled her eyes. "I don't think I've ever seen Klaus smile so consistently." He remarked before stepping away leaving Rebekah to take a turn on the binoculars.

"I doubt that," she remarked looking through the glasses at the tender moment her brother and Caroline where sharing. She scrunched her nose shoving the binoculars back into Kol's chest before stomping off.

Klaus pursed his lips into a pout not wanting her to go as she kissed him again quickly it was impossible but it seemed he already missed her. Caroline seemed to want to take him with her for all her reluctance as she had yet to unlock his door.

He pulled back and gestured for her to unlock it for him and for a moment she seem to contemplate it he smiled kissing her cheek before he stepped out of the car shutting the door behind him with care. "I love you," he said as his goodbye.

He tried to be resilient fighting with himself to not look back thinking it would be a smooth but then he heard the automatic window come down and it was reflex. He turned seeing her, "When will you be back," he asked her through her open window stepping around her car towards the driver's side.

Caroline eyed him enviously, how a person could look that attractive all the time she wasn't sure. "Not soon enough," she replied as he leaned into her open window taking another kiss not that she was complaining. "Two days," she assured him, "It's nothing."

She tilted her head looking up at him feeling like two days would be an eternity now that they were together. In a span of days, weeks and months he had taught her how to love, to miss him when he wasn't near. To think of what she wanted and knew he would want for her to, to fight for everything even against him.

"I love when you get that thoughtful look on your face," he murmured stepping back on the sidewalk his hands in his jacket pockets to keep from grabbing hold of her and kissing her until she changed her mind about leaving, "It means you're thinking of me," he smirked as she shook her head blushing.

Caroline stuck out her tongue to him in a childish manner before she pulled out her car in drive and began moving away from the side curve he felt her eyes lingering on him for a moment longer on the nearly empty street. "Bye," she said.

"For now," he returned with a meaningful look as he waved unmoving as she sped down disappearing from his view the moment he brought himself to blink. Klaus felt as if she had taken the whole of him with her as he moved back into the gallery where he worked.

After a short trip Caroline landed without event, though she almost sprinted down the terminal to her luggage glad she was allowed to turn her phone back on. She waited impatiently as it booted in the terminal as she waited for her rental to be ready.

Her phone lit up finally as she passed a section of movie posters about wolves and vampires making her scoff at the blondes on the billboard. Her phone vibrated beginning to ring as a picture she had snuck of Klaus sleeping appearing on her screen as it did so.

She blushed remembering how incredible he looked half asleep his hair mussed and his eyes droopy she felt a shiver at the thought and had to remind herself of where she was. Her eyes shifted as if someone was watching before opening the text.

"I already miss you," it read, Caroline took a moment to keep from squealing as her arranged car came by with her driver she thanked him before he speedily set her bag in the boot of the car. Her GPS had already begun its instructions to her hotel before she got a chance to buckle her seat belt.

The window rolled down an unamused looking coming from the driver. "Sorry," she mumbled shutting off her GPS as quickly as she could happy to arrive at her destination after ten minutes. She took a deep breath knowing she only had an hour to get herself together before her first meeting of many.

The plane ride had taken a whole chunk of her day so now all she wanted was to get in her sweats and call her mother and Klaus to let them know everything was fine. She waited in the reception line to be checked in another fifteen and then before she knew it she was in the elevator moving up to the eighth floor with luggage in tow.

Caroline sprinted to the shower rinsing the plane smell off of her before quickly dressing again in a sensible blouse and pencil skirt. She refreshed her makeup before grabbing her bag and rushing out to find Conference Room 501.

She didn't make it back to her room till well after nine her shoes in hand as she slide her key card over the lock happy when the light turned green. She sighed shutting the door behind her feeling her stomach growl thinking of the croissant sandwich she had three hours ago.

Scouting out the mini bar she made do with the cheapest items in there and stripped of her work clothing dressing comfortably as she picked up her phone. After a long talk with her mother Caroline almost thought twice about calling Klaus at such a late hour.

On impulse she pressed the call button Caroline was rewarded with his soft chuckle after two rings, "Hello Caroline," he said in greeting making her smile. "I was starting to worry for a moment there." She sighed as she felt herself relax at the sound of his voice lounging on top of her made bed.

She began wishing she had a better view of the stars like she did at his apartment. "I got your text," she said with a smile in her voice. She shut her eyes picturing him smiling too, "What do you miss the most," she sighed softly into her receiver.

Klaus paused for a moment thinking about his response before answering her and messing it up, "Well right now I'm lying in bed and my right side is empty," he began his free hand running over the side she slept on when she stayed over, "So you."

Caroline let out a small sigh, "I miss the tickle of your hair on my arm as I pull you in to fall asleep in my arms," he explained with a sly smile licking his lips in thought, "Your soft smell that lingers on my sheets after you're gone. I miss your light breath across my chest."

Caroline felt her stomach drop and her heart rise up into her throat at the same time leaving her without speech as he continued without interruption. "The way your nails dig into my shoulders during exceptional hours of kissing and touching and teasing. The way you bite your lip as I undress in front of you."

"Klaus," she sighed out loud without meaning too carried away in thoughts of him biting her lip to keep from saying anything else. She heard him shift from wherever he was and held her breath as he spoke again feeling dizzy rather quickly.

"I miss your laugh, the real one and that little grin when you want to be mad at me can't quite make yourself be." Klaus told her as he grabbed her pillow and held it to his chest unsure of how he slept before he met her. He shut his eyes imagining her here with him.

xoxoxoxox

"Klaus," she panted a little louder, "Why are you so good at words?" she laughed nervously feeling hot and incredibly tense with the way he spoke. "How can things be so different in such a short span of time?" she said mostly to herself.

"It was just a bet, a dance and now here we are and I can't even get to bed without you even though I'm exhausted." Caroline tried to explain, "All I have is this shirt of yours I'm wearing and your voice to make me feel… I don't know."

Klaus' interest was piqued at her words making him sit up his head resting on his headboard, "You're wearing my shirt?" he blurted out wincing at the tone of his voice. He sounded like a school boy desperate for her and they both knew he was.

"Yeah I am," she admitted forgetting that she wasn't supposed to tell him that and feeling kind of stupid she had taken his favorite red one when she found it in her hamper. "It smells like you." She admitted shyly pressing a hand to her hot face.

"Are you wearing anything else," he asked unexpectedly making her breath catch, beads of sweat appearing almost instantly all over as well as goose bumps. She crossed her legs biting her nail as she heard him breathing on the other end awaiting her reply.

"I…no," she said squeezing her eyes shut as if he was right in front of her, "I'm not." she thought she heard him choke but it was too quick to tell before he was clearing his throat. Caroline rubbed at her thighs trying to regain control of her senses.

"I wish I had gone with you," he responded reacting to her movement on the other end feeling his heart racing, "Then you would be tired for a different reason and my shirt would be on the floor." She teased his voice growing serous towards the end of his sentence.

Caroline blushed thinking about what he suggested, "You're really confident about that," she replied plainly trying to hide the tingles she felt. Klaus chuckled on the other end as pushed her hair out of her face.

"Yes I am," he quipped smartly making her smile brightly in the dark of her room. "I wish you were here too," she said playing with the end of her shirt rubbing the fabric over her thighs as she spoke. She heard a shift in his breathing on the other end, heavier almost making a slight shiver run over her.

"How much longer until you get back," he asked in a sultry voice squirming as he did in his sitting place his fingers twitching with longing to run into her silky tresses. He sighed feeling a considerable hindrance begin to grow the longer he had her on the line.

She chuckled feeling his undertones of frustration feeling as if they were on the same boat, "Tomorrow night at eight I should be walking into my apartment," Caroline reminded him softly missing him wrapping his arms around her waist as they prepared for bed only to hours later be fighting over her comforter.

"Alone," she added making him smirk at the way she said it. "Sweetheart you know I'll try," he began to say when she said, "No, no, no, your work is very important." He chuckled thinking about how she had no idea what she was going to walk into tomorrow. Her apartment yes but alone definitely not.

xoxoxoxoxox

He scratched his temple a smirk coming over his features, "Take off the shirt Caroline," he hummed into the phone receiver. He heard her react and he bit his lip, "Do it like I'm watching." He heard her gasp silence otherwise as he pictured her thought process.

The little crinkle of a line on her forehead, the part of her lips, the heaving of her chest, his lips trailing over the blood flowing just beneath her skin. He beamed in triumph when he heard her do as he asked growing harder for her. "How do you feel," he asked softly.

"Naked," she giggled, "Exposed," she added more softly, "Aroused, hot, cold, empty," she whispered her hand running to the middle of her thighs softly before running back up her stomach, "Like I need you inside of me."

Klaus threw his head back feeling a familiar ache rising just below his belt, "Caroline," he grunted, hearing her laugh on the other end, "You deserve that," she said referring to his own misery. "That and much more," she finished saying as he rubbed himself over his jeans.

"Like what," he inquired his fingers adding pressure above his zipper creating a friction only to be imitated by Caroline's warm body above his. "Like my hands on your hips," she paused, "My lips following that happy trail of yours straight down to the tip where you'd feel my mouth on your-"

"Hmm that's not fair," he cried, "I guess now would be a good time to tell you that I followed you to Chicago and booked the room next to yours." Klaus admitted as he stopped teasing himself and managed to get up from the bed he was on.
