Chapter 6
Yugi's POV
I yawned as I slowly rose from my bed like a zombie rising from the dead. Today is the day, the day I start my first mission. I'm so excited. I was up till midnight reading through the laws of Ebdar. Seriously you're not allowed to wear the colour purple unless you're married- that is so strange!
And apparently if a member of the royal family wants to marry someone, that person is forced by law to marry them or face imprisonment. They have strict laws and many strange rules. I just hope I can remember them all.
I groaned as I stretched my groggy limbs. I still have to come up with an excuse for Solo- Grandpa. I reached over to my desk and grabbed my phone before punching in the number.
Ring! Ring! Ring!
"Oh come on pick up, pick up, pick up" I moaned. A few seconds later he answered. "Yugi what's wrong?" I sighed. "Hi Seimei I've got a problem". "What is it Yugi?" Seimei replied instantly, a hint of worry in his voice. "I'm worried about Yami. I tried to teach him a lesson and he got really depressed. I forgave him and he's fine now but I'm worried that if I leave for a while he might get depressed again. What should I do? Should I tell him the truth? Should I-"
"Yugi calm down" Seimei interrupted. I took a few calming breaths before I muttered "I'm ok now". "Good now listen up. Tell him you're going on holiday and I'll keep an eye on him while you're gone. If he gets depressed I'll tell him the truth ok?" "Ok thank you bye" I answered happily before hanging up.
Now I know that Yami's going to be ok. Now I just need to come up with a convincing holiday excuse.
Normal POV
Yami leapt out of bed and hummed a happy tune as he prepared breakfast for himself, grandpa and Yugi. He fried some eggs and bacon then cooked some waffles.
Solomon gave Yami a confused look before he asked "What's up Yami? You're in a very good mood today". Yami looked up and smiled. "Yugi forgave me". "That's excellent" Solomon cheered.
"What's excellent" a weary voice sighed. Yami and Solomon looked around to the doorway where Yugi was leaning against the door. "Nothing" Solomon quickly replied. Yugi #!*% a brow. "If you say so grandpa" Yugi replied as he walked over and filled the kettle. Solomon was shocked that Yugi called him grandpa again but smiled when he realised that Yugi was slowly becoming himself again.
"Good morning Yugi" Yami called out happily. "Morning" Yugi drowsily replied as he prepared three cups of tea. After five minutes everything was made and the three of them were sat down eating.
"Hey grandpa I need to tell you something" Yugi spoke suddenly. Yami and Solomon- well grandpa stopped eating to look at him. "What is it Yugi" Solomon asked. "I'm going on holiday today with my friends and I'm going to be away for a while. I don't know how long for but I'll call you every once in a while". Solomon stood up. "But Yugi what about school?"
"Already have permission to go"
"And when were you going to tell me this?"
"I just did".
"Why are you going on holiday now anyway?"
"That's none of your business".
Solomon sighed. "There's no convincing you is there?" Yugi shook his head. "Fine you can go but I want a call at least every two or three days". Yugi nodded and ate the last bite of his waffle. "Yugi?" Yami quietly asked. Yugi turned to look at him. "What is it Yami" he asked. "Don't stay away for too long and please be careful". Yugi's face broke into a rare happy smile. "Thanks Yami, I will be careful". Yami got up and walked over till he was only a few centimetres away from Yugi. "Yugi listen. I think Tea has hired someone to hurt or maybe even kill you. Do you really have to go because I'm worried about you, I'm-" Yami trailed off as Yugi pulled him into a hug. "I'll be fine so don't worry about it. And I appreciate that you're looking out for me".
Yugi let Yami go and smiled before he ran off to his room. Yami watched him go before he too smiled. "Well I'm glad that Yugi's happy again" Solomon chuckled as he cleaned up the dishes.
Yugi's POV
Yami's worried about me. I never knew that. I wonder who Tea called to 'take care of me'. Humph. I'll take care of them instead. But that's not going to be for a while cus where I'm going they can't reach me.
I pulled out my phone and started to text.
Hey I'm ready, when we leaving?
I got a reply ten seconds later with a small ding from my phone.
5 mins, see u in a bit

I chucked my phone on the bed and started to pack. I grabbed some clothes from my closet and (after checking they weren't purple) threw them into the open suitcase on the floor. After five minutes I dragged my full case down the stairs and waited by the door.
"So you're going" a baritone voice called out from behind me. I turned to face the Pharaoh. "Yeah my friends should be here any second". As if on cue there was a knock on the door and you could hear Maisie shout "PLUGI WE'RE HERE" through the door.
"Plugi?" Yami asked in confusion. I sweat dropped. God this is so embarrassing I think I've gone a bit red. "Yeah that's my nickname". Yami flashed me an amused look. "Plugi sounds nice". I looked down at the floor. "Well I've got to go now. See you soon Yami" I quickly called out as I picked up my case and ran out the door.
"Hey Yugi" Martha and Vicky greeted at the same time. Seriously how do they do that? "Come on let's go" I said as I grabbed Rose's arm and started pulling her down the street. "Wah what's going on Yugi" she called out. I sighed and turned to face them. "I'm so embarrassed. Yami found out you call me Plugi and he was laughing, I could tell". Vicky chuckled. "Well you've got to admit Plugi is an epic name". I smiled "Thanks". "So Yugi?" Harry asked. "Yeah" I replied. "Are you friends again with Yami now?" "Not exactly. We're not friends but I forgave him after I taught him a lesson so you could say we are acquaintances". The conversation broke off as we dragged our luggage with us until we reached an empty alleyway. We got out our transporters and typed in the Ebdar system.

Normal POV
Yugi yelled in shock and clutched his belongings as he materialised in mid-air and began to fall. "Whoa" he yelled as he managed to save himself just in time. White wings of light shined from his back and faded as he landed gently on the ground. A couple of seconds later Rose, Maisie, Martha, Harry and Vicky appeared and floated slowly down. 'How come they can do that but I can't' Yugi thought as he pouted. "We're here" Maisie cheered happily. "Welcome to Ebdar" Rose announced.
Yugi gaped in shock at the sight laid out before him. Green grassy hills rolled on into the distance and a river flowed peacefully in a curved line. Up ahead the high stone walls of a city could be seen. Millions of flowers surrounded the group, swaying gently in the breeze and the wind ruffled Yugi's locks of hair.
"So this is Ebdar. Looks like a nice place to live, I wonder what the city is like" Harry thought aloud. They trudged forwards and slowly made their way towards the city.

They all sighed in relief as they reached the city gates. It had taken them two hours to get there and the sun was now hanging low in the evening sky. "This time difference thing is still hard to get used to" Yugi moaned. The city walls now towered threateningly over them. Two guards were stood silently at the gate. One of them held a giant two handed sword while the other had a giant warhammer. "What is your business here in Iswald" the guard with the hammer asked.
Both guards wore steel helmets that concealed their faces and steel armour covered them from head to toe. An emblem of a tree was painted on the front in black. Vicky nervously took a step forwards. "We are the representatives of Justar, we are here to speak to the king". The guards turned to look at her. "We shall tell his majesty that you have arrived. Kimimaru will show you around".
The guard with the hammer signalled the gatekeeper and the gates slowly swung open. "Hey Kimimaru take our guests up to the palace and get them settled in" the guard with the sword shouted out. A second later a boy with bright blue eyes and golden hair ran to meet them. "Hi I'm Kimimaru and I'll be your guide. Please follow me to the palace".
Yugi stared at the teen in front of him. He was dressed in loose brown cotton trousers and a blue cotton top. A leather belt was tied around his middle and he had a pair of leather shoes on his feet. Kimimaru smiled at him when he noticed him staring. "You're not from around here are you?" he chuckled. Yugi shook his head. "Don't worry about it, I'll keep you on track so let's go".
Kimimaru turned around and lead them through the gate and into the city. The city reminded Yugi of one of those medieval cities from medieval times. A cobbled road ran through the city spreading out like a bowl of spaghetti. The basic houses were made out of a worn stone. People turned and stared as they passed through. It didn't surprise them. After all they were dressed strangely and carrying suitcases that probably weren't even invented in their world.

Ten minutes later they found themselves staring up at the palace that stood in front of them. Hundreds of stone towers with purple tiled roofs reached into the sky and the stone walls of the palace were dotted with stain glass windows. The palace grounds stretched on for miles with lush green grass, flower gardens, ponds and a maze.
Yugi gaped as he found himself staring at the scene from one of the Disney princess movies. "This…Is…AMAZING" Maisie shouted. Harry and Rose jumped slightly as she screamed the last word into their ear. "Well it's quite impressive" Martha stated, Vicky nodded in agreement. Kimimaru chuckled. "Let's go you can enjoy the view later, it's best not to keep his majesty waiting. He has what you call a very short temper".
Instantly everyone froze before they quickly bolted down the path. "Hey wait up!" Kimimaru shouted as he ran after them. He caught up when they were halfway down the path.
"Listen up. When you enter the throne room you must bow to show your respect to the king and his family, and remember only speak when spoken to or when you have gained permission to speak".
"Alright let's do this" Rose said determinedly as the palace doors swung open.
