Chapter 11
"Yami calm down, maybe Yug's just messin with ya" Joey shouted as he ran after the Pharaoh. "He wasn't, I know he wasn't. He really didn't remember who I am. He's in danger and I'm not just going to stand here and do nothing" Yami shouted back. "Do you even know where he is, I mean he could be anywhere" Tristan reasoned. "I don't care, he is my Aibou and he is in danger" Yami retorted.
"Well if it isn't the geek squad" a voice drawled. Yami, Tristan and Joey stopped and looked to their left where Seto Kaiba stood. "What is it Kaiba" Yami demanded. "I don't know why you're getting so worked up. The new besties Yugi has run off with aren't going to let anything happen to Yugi so why work yourself up?"
"It doesn't matter Kaiba, I just want to find him and make sure he is ok" Yami replied. "What do ya really want moneybags" Joey snapped. "Shut up Mutt" Kaiba retorted. "I'm not a dog" Joey argued. "Don't deny it now kneel before your master" Kaiba sneered. "Kaiba" Joey growled as he lunged at Seto.
"ENOUGH!" Yami shouted and everyone froze. "I am going after Yugi and nothing any of you say is going to make me change my mind". Then he ran off down the street. "So where is the rest of the geek squad?" Kaiba asked. "Ryou is picking up Malik, Ishizu and Odion from the airport" Tristan answered. "Why do you care?" Joey demanded. "I don't" Kaiba bluntly replied before walking away.
Joey ran after Kaiba and slammed him into the wall. "Then why did you seem so upset when you found out Tea lied. Why have you gone to such extreme lengths to make sure that she pays for what she did? Why did you hang around with us if you don't care" he yelled in Kaiba's face as he held him by the collar.
"I wouldn't expect a Mutt like you to understand" Kaiba retorted. "Oh yeah, at least I understand friendship and what it means to have a heart" Joey growled. Kaiba grabbed Joey's wrist and forced him to release his hold. "You want to know why I punished that #!*% . I did it because I can't stand bullies, especially those who prey on the weak or the ones that can't or will not fight back. With a couple of lies and rumours she made life #!*% for Yugi and he did nothing to deserve that. After everything he went through with the millennium items and the shadow games he deserved to live a life of peace, a happy life. But no instead he spent every night crying himself to sleep and wishing that he wasn't living".
"How would you know?" Joey retorted. "Because I've seen that look in someone's eyes before Yugi. The last time I saw that look on someone I found them dead from suicide the next week". Joey gasped as he saw the anger written in Seto's eyes and on his face.
"You don't know anything about me so don't pretend you understand everything I say or do" Seto hissed. Joey was silent for a second before he looked down and mumbled "I'm sorry, guess I was just frustrated cus of everything that's been happening lately".
Kaiba sighed. "That's ok, just don't jump to conclusions all the time". With that he turned around and walked away. Joey stared as the tall brunette left. "Are you ok man?" Tristan asked as he placed a hand on Joey's shoulder and shook it lightly. Joey shook his hand off. "I'm fine, I just wish we could set back time and avoid all of this. If only time wizard could work in real life without the shadow games or millennium items".
Tristan gazed at the troubled blonde beside him. "Don't worry Joey, I'm sure everything will work out. I mean we've been in tougher situations than this and pulled through. Anyway we should head to Ryou's place, he should be back with Malik, Ishizu and Odion by now".
"Yeah your right Tristan, let's go" Joey said as he started off down the street. "Hey wait for me" Tristan called out as he ran to catch up.

\Aibou, Aibou answer me please\ Yami repeated into the mind link again and again as he ran through the streets with no certain destination in mind. 'Why? Why is this happening? Who could have done this?' Yami wondered. He barely noticed that he had passed out of the main street and into the alleyways.
"You are Pharaoh Atem, more commonly known as Yami correct" a voice called out from the shadows. Yami froze and looked around cautiously. "Who's there? How do you know my name" he demanded. Yami took a few steps back as a man emerged from the shadows.
He had fiery red hair that cupped his sharp, strong face. His emerald eyes stared into Yami's crimson ones. Yami guessed that he was around the age of thirty.
"Yugi has told me quite a bit about you, Pharaoh. About how you duelled together, defeated Zorc and sealed the shadow games. But also about how you abandoned him, shunned him because of some rumours spread by a jealous little girl who had a crush on you" Seimei explained. Yami looked down in shame at the last part.
"How do you know Yugi?" Yami asked. Seimei smiled. "I helped him in his time of need. I sent him the friends he desired and deserved. I trained him to help defend against bullies who constantly picked on him, I gave him a home. A place to belong and a reason to live again".
"But that's not the full story is it? I know that there is a lot more going on. I find it hard to believe that Yugi became friends with the others in just one day and learned how to fight like a master. He also changed from being kind and warm to cold and distant in one day. And Yugi suddenly goes on holiday for three weeks with people he has only just met and suddenly doesn't remember who I am anymore. Tell me the truth, the full truth" Yami demanded.
"You're very perceptive Pharaoh. I'm amazed that you didn't pick up on your Hikari's sadness. With skills like that you should have easily been able to see that Yugi was innocent of the rumours he was accused of which makes me wonder. Why would you ignore Yugi for so long when you knew that this was destroying him? I thought your job as a Yami was to protect your Hikari, not drive him to the brink of despair" Seimei replied.
Yami gasped and looked down ashamed. "I know that what I did was wrong, and I know that Yugi may never truly forgive me even though he said he did. But I'm trying to make up for it now. I promise to never let Yugi get hurt like that again and I promise that I will do a better job of protecting him, so please tell me the truth. I need to know".
Seimei grinned at Yami. "You know I can see you really have changed since all this began. I promised Yugi that I wouldn't tell you the truth unless it was absolutely necessary because he didn't want you to get involved. He thought that you would only get hurt if you knew but I guess that it is necessary now".
Yami listened carefully as Seimei explained about the lights, the organization tracking them and about how Yugi was one of the said lights. He then explained about his team of agents, Justar and how he had trained Yugi and let him join them. He told Yami about how they could teleport between different worlds which had different timelines and about their recent mission to Alrenia.
"So this organization is going to constantly be after Yugi, and Yugi is constantly going to be leaving on missions with his new friends who are also agents of yours" Yami clarified. "Yes" Seimei confirmed. "Woah I can't believe I never knew about all of this" Yami rambled. Seimei chuckled. "I can't believe you are taking it so well, I would've thought you'd call me crazy or something".
"Hey Seimei?" Yami asked. "What is it?" Seimei answered. Yami sighed. When I tried talking to Yugi through the mind link he seemed to have forgotten me, do you know why that might be?". "Hmm" Seimei hummed as he thought. "It sounds to me like Yugi is under some sort of powerful enchantment, I have heard from Martha that he has been acting strangely for the past couple of days".
"Is there anything I can do to help him?" Yami asked instantly. Seimei sighed. I'm afraid not. An enchantment that powerful can only be removed if the source is destroyed, plus I think Yugi might have a heart attack if he comes out of the enchantment and finds you there. I think it would be best if you waited until he returns. You should explain to the others too, Joey, Tristan, Seto, Ryou and Malik. I think they should know the truth too".
"Thank you for telling me this. Can I ask one last thing?" Yami said. "Go ahead" Seimei replied. Yami gulped nervously. "Did, did Yugi hate me when he first came to you, when I hurt him?" he asked hesitantly. Seimei stared at the young man in front of him. "He was very angry and upset but no he didn't hate you. No matter how much he changes, he will still be the kind, caring boy who can't bring himself to hate someone. I think Tea is the only exception to that though, Yugi is still #!*% off with her and would very much like to do unspeakable things to her" Seimei replied.
"I am going to do unspeakable things to her" Yami vowed murderously and he narrowed his eyes as he thought of the blue eyed, short brown haired girl he had grown to hate over the past three weeks.
"Well I must be going now Yami, you should return to your friends. They are getting worried about you disappearing for so long" Seimei announced before he disappeared in a flash of light causing Yami to blink in astonishment. "Wha- How did he do that?" Yami wondered aloud. He looked around the alleyway once more before he turned and made his way back to the game shop.
Or at least that was what he had planned to do until he saw a certain blue eyed brunette walking his way. 'Perfect' Yami thought as he conjured a cunning, evil plan in his head. He looked in his school bag and found what he had been looking for. He grabbed it and hid it behind his back as he walked out into the street.
Tea looked up surprised when Yami walked up to her. "Yami kins, you've come back. I missed yo-" she started to say before something cold blasted her in the face. She screamed as she took in her ruined appearance.
Yami had tipped a bottle of water over her head along with a packet of flour (AN: don't ask why he had a packet of flour in his bag because honestly I have no idea). The white goo clung to her face along with her make-up which had run in lines making her look like a clown.
Her school uniform was plastered white and was starting to stiffen as the goo dried. Tea looked up shocked and saw Yami smirking at her. "You know what I feel better already, but don't worry. I have worse things planned for you Tea". Tea shuddered slightly in fear.
The sound of laughing caused Tea to whirl around. Millions of students who had been hanging around down the street were laughing and making fun of her. A few of them had even taken pictures that they were now posting on the internet.
"You know Tea that look suits you. Shows everyone the ugly trickster you really are" Yami hissed before he turned and walked away leaving her to deal with the laughing onlookers.

"Hey Yami there you are, we've been searching everywhere for you" Tristan called out as Yami entered Ryou's living room. Ryou, Malik, Ishizu, Odion, Tristan, Joey and for some reason Seto were all gathered in the room.
"Where were ya Yams?" Joey asked as he lounged on the sofa. Yami chuckled evilly. "Oh I was just taking revenge on our old friend Tea, have you checked the internet?"
"Nope" Joey replied. Seto humped and pulled out his laptop. He started typing rapidly on the keys until he found what he was looking for. He smirked before looking up at Yami. "My you did a good job, I wish I could have been there. I would have been able to raise loads of money for comic relief with this".
"What is it? Let me see, let me see!" Joey whined. Kaiba smirked as everyone gathered around. He slowly turned around the laptop to reveal the flour covered Tea, a smirking Yami and the startled expression on Tea's face.
"What you started the pranking without us, that's not fair. Tell us next time you plan on doing something like that and we'll be right over to help" Tristan pouted. "Yeah" Joey agreed.
Yami smirked. "Well it wasn't really planned. I was walking back to the game shop when I spotted my chance so I took it. Pretty good for being made up in five seconds. Anyway there is something I need to explain to you all" Yami started.
"What is it? Another prank?" Malik asked mischievously. "No we can talk about that after, this is more important than the pranks. You should all sit down and get comfortable because this is going to take a long time to explain" Yami replied.
"So what's this about?" Kaiba asked interested. Yami stared at him and made eye contact.
"This is about the truth about Yugi and his friends. I was told by a man called Seimei who was the one who explained everything".
Yami: Finally I know the truth, now I can do something useful!
