Orange: Hello readers! Sorry for the long wait but I was having a small break for christmas ;)
Yugi: Short break! You call that a short break! It was almost a month long!

Orange: Whatever. Anyway here is chapter 8. A lot of important things happen in this chapter so I hope that you all enjoy it!

Chapter 8
Yugi moaned and buried his face into the pillow when the morning light hit his eyes. There was a knock on the door before a voice called out "Yugi it's time to get up. Father said we could go in the garden today". Yugi groaned. Adrianne. 'Doesn't she ever give up? I would have thought that she had gotten the hint that I was bi by now' Yugi thought to himself as he reluctantly left the warm bed.
Yugi pulled a comb through his locks before he dressed himself. He pulled on a light blue shirt and grey jogging bottoms before he pulled on his black trainers.
"Yugi are you done yet" Adrianne called out. Yugi sighed as he pulled out one of the spare cloaks in the cupboard and tied it around his shoulders. "I'm here" Yugi replied as he pulled open the door to be greeted by an impatient princess.
Adrianne was wearing a red dress today. It reached down to her ankles where red heels could be seen on her feet. The dress ended in a collar around her neck and the sleeves were embroidered with golden thread at her wrists. A belt embedded with rubies was tied around her middle and a ruby necklace hung from her neck. Her waist length blonde hair had been tied into a plat that rested against her back and the tiara was on her head again.
As soon as Yugi walked out of the room Adrianne clung tightly onto his left arm. Yugi blushed slightly as he tried and failed to pull his arm out of her grip. "Let's go Yugi I want to show you the rose garden" Adrianne whispered sweetly while Yugi gagged in his head. 'Somebody help me, Ra have mercy' Yugi cried out mentally as he was dragged off by the princess.

Yugi frowned as he was dragged to look at all of the flowers. Unfortunately no one had helped him get out of being dragged around by the princess. 'I wonder what the others are doing anyway' Yugi thought as a bunch of bluebells were shoved in his face. "Do you like these Yugi" Adrianne asked. 'No' Yugi thought as he replied "Yes".
"I knew you would like them" Adrianne cheered as she jumped up into Yugi's arms and hugged Yugi while Yugi sweat dropped. "Well it looks like you two are having fun" a voice called out. Yugi instantly dropped the princess who yelped and turned to his smirking friend. "Shut up Vicky" Yugi pouted. Vicky just laughed. "Are you embarrassed Yugi" Vicky teased. "No" Yugi growled as he lightly punched her in the arm, his face had gone slightly red though. "Ok I was only joking" Vicky mumbled as she rubbed her arm.
Adrianne watched this silently before she grabbed Yugi by the arm and dragged him away. "Bye Yugi see you later" Vicky called out. Yugi smiled and waved while Adrianne shot her a glare.
Once they were out of sight Vicky chuckled again. "Is Adrianne jealous of me? She is way too quick to jump to conclusions. I've got to tell the others about this" Vicky giggled to herself.
Meanwhile Adrianne had dragged Yugi to a secluded part of the garden. Millions of red, white and pink roses surrounded them. The bushes were high so the rose garden was hidden from the rest of the grounds and a couple of willow trees were growing hanging over the bushes. A small bench made of stone was in the middle. "This is the rose garden" Adrianne announced as they arrived.
Yugi took a quick look around before he yawned and sat down on the bench. 'It is really nice here. I wonder if Yami likes roses. Maybe he used to have some in his garden when he was Pharaoh'. Yugi snapped out of his thoughts and relaxed on the bench. He jumped two seconds later when Adrianne suddenly appeared next to him. "You know Yugi, roses are believed to symbolise love" she murmured in what she thought was a flirty voice. Yugi shivered and shuffled away from her until he was on the edge of the bench.
"T-That's nice. Personally I prefer snowdrops" Yugi stuttered as the princess started to get closer. Yugi tried to leave but as soon as he got up the princess grabbed his hand and pulled him back down. Adrianne instantly leant in as she held Yugi still and tilted their heads together.
Yugi blushed as their lips brushed slightly. Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he saw a flash of metal. Yugi ripped his hand out of Adrianne's grasp and pushed her to the ground as three daggers flew over their heads. Adrianne screamed and clung to Yugi who carefully surveyed the rose bushes for their attacker. "Who's there? Show yourself" Yugi demanded as he felt a creepy shiver shoot up his spine. Silence answered his demand.
'For once I am actually glad that the bad guy's turned up. It helped me escape being kissed by the princess' Yugi thought as he studied a tree leaning over the garden. "Yugi I'm scared" Adrianne wailed. "You'll be fine princess I'm going to take you back to the castle" Yugi explained as he tried to pry away the arms clamped around him.
As he led the reluctant Adrianne back towards the castle Yugi saw a shadow suddenly dart from one tree to another out of the corner of his eye. "Princess run back to the castle now" Yugi commanded as he narrowed his eyes at the tree. "But what about you" Adrianne argued. "I can take care of myself. Go and get some help" Yugi retorted.
Adrianne huffed before she turned on her heel and stormed off back to the castle. Yugi turned back to the tree and held out his hand. A few seconds later the sword of light appeared in his hand. Yugi whirled around as he heard clapping from behind him. A man dressed in black combat jeans and a black leather top was stood behind him; chains hung from his belt and he had a pair of leather shoes on his feet. A black beanie hat covered the man's well teen's hair and a mask covered his face.
The mask was split into the symbol of yin and yang. One side was white with a black dot while the other side was black with a white dot. Two thin lines for eyeholes hid the eyes behind. However there was a monster painted onto the white side of the yin yang symbol. It had blood red eyes that glared at the black half and its claws were dug into the white half. Yugi gasped when he saw what looked like the millennium puzzle around the monster's neck.
"Well done Yugi, you certainly have gotten better. It's so nice to see you" the teen chuckled in a deep but smooth voice. Yugi narrowed his eyes at the stranger. "Who are you and how do you know my name" Yugi demanded as he pointed his sword at the teen's face.
"Now that's not very nice Yugi, you shouldn't point weapons at people when they are talking. What happened to the old, gentle Yugi?" the stranger asked. "That Yugi grew up a long time ago, now who are you" Yugi snarled. "You will find out soon enough but for now you can call me by my code name Kuro" Kuro replied.
"What do you want Kuro" Yugi growled. "You know what I want Yugi. I am here to deliver a message. You better enjoy your last few days of peace because we are coming for our lights". Yugi glared at Kuro before shouting "You will never get the lights, we will stop you". Kuro chuckled and approached Yugi until he was face to face with the short teen. "You can't stop us, there is nothing you can do to stop us" he whispered.
"What's with the weird mask Kuro?" Yugi asked, disliking the way that Kuro threatened him and his friends. "Why do you want to know?" Kuro stated and Yugi could tell that he was smirking behind the mask. "I want to know because the millennium puzzle is on the mask" Yugi retorted.
There was a moment of silence before Kuro replied. "Ohh…that". "Tell me why you have the millennium puzzle painted on your mask" Yugi demanded as he glared at Kuro. Kuro sighed and paused as if he was thinking. After a couple of minutes he replied. "Let's just say that it is a reminder of someone I lost, someone who I plan to get back".
"Who did you lose" Yugi asked confused. "Someone very important to me" Kuro replied. "What does the millennium puzzle have to do with the person you lost?" Yugi exclaimed. "The millennium puzzle belongs to the #!*% who took him away from me, he is the reason why I couldn't take him back years ago" Kuro snarled in anger.
"You mean the Pharaoh? You mean Atem?" Yugi asked. Kuro growled as Yugi mentioned Atem's name. "Yes that #!*% Pharaoh is the one" Kuro snarled. 'Yami! I wonder who he has taken from Kuro. I don't believe he would ever do something like that. It's not like him to do something like that. I'll have to ask him later' Yugi thought. "Well Yugi I've enjoyed this little chat of ours but I must go. Remember to deliver my message" Kuro suddenly announced as he backed off. "Get back here, you're not going anywhere" Yugi shouted as he ran after him. "Too bad" Kuro chuckled before he disappeared leaving a cloud of black smoke behind.
Yugi coughed as he breathed in the smoke and moved away from the spot where Kuro had disappeared. "Yugi" a chorus of voices called out and Yugi turned around to see Vicky, Maisie, Martha, Rose and Harry and a couple of guards running towards him. Yugi focused on the sword of light until it disappeared.
Vicky ran over and grabbed Yugi by the shoulders before she looked for injuries. "Are you ok?" Martha asked worriedly. "I'm fine" Yugi assured her. "What happened? Where's the bad guy?" Rose questioned. Yugi huffed before replying. "He was an annoying guy who was about our age, maybe a couple of years older. He came to give us a message". "What was the message?" Harry asked. "That they are coming for the lights in a couple of days and that we should enjoy them" Yugi replied. "We must be careful then. Let's go and tell King Pelagius about this" Martha sighed. Everyone began to walk back to the palace. Yugi stopped and looked over his shoulder at the garden.
"I wonder who Kuro really is. What's his real name? Who did he lose? And why did Yami take that person?" Yugi thought aloud. 'Ahh all of these questions are making my head hurt' Yugi groaned. "Hey Plugi come on" Maisie shouted. Yugi sighed as he turned and ran to join the others.

"Oh Yugi thank you for saving me, you are my hero" Adrianne squealed as she clung to Yugi, hugging him. 'Geese if I knew she was going to be this clingy I wouldn't have saved her' Yugi huffed as he pouted.
"Should we help Yugi out, he looks annoyed" Vicky whispered as she saw Yugi pout. "No way I'm enjoying this way too much" Rose chuckled. Vicky and Rose giggled as Yugi freed himself from the clingy princess. "Hey a lot happened today so I'm going to go to my room and try to figure some things out, can you guys tell King Pelagius what happened" Yugi asked. "Sure" Harry replied. Yugi smiled gratefully at him before he turned and speed walked away.
"Wow he ran away really fast. I think Adrianne really is starting to freak him out" Vicky whispered to Rose. "Yeah I think you're right" Rose agreed.

Yugi sighed in relief as he shut and locked the door to his room. "I'm so glad that excuse actually worked, seriously that girl is obsessed with me".
\Girl problem again Aibou\ a voice questioned making Yugi jump.
/Wha…Yami!/ Yugi said shocked.
\The one and only, so these girl problems are getting worse. Maybe you should go on holiday somewhere else\
/That's not really an option I have. Anyway there was something I wanted to talk to you about/
\What is it Aibou?\
/Well…How do I put this? Umm…Have you ever met someone and… separated them from someone else they were close to? Or something like that?/
\No! Why would you think I would ever do something like that? Do I really seem that bad?\
/What! No! It's just that I met some guy who knows about the millennium puzzle and he said that the person who owns the millennium puzzle took someone he cared about away from him. I was just wondering if you knew anything about it. Honest/
\Oh, do you know who it was who told you this because I haven't taken anyone away from anyone else. Maybe he's just someone who has a grudge against me\
/I don't know his real name and he was wearing a mask but he said that his code name was Kuro/
\Kuro? Well I can't say that I've ever met anyone named Kuro before\
/Well be careful ok because it looks like this guy is out to get you/
\I will be. Are you going to be home soon?\
Yugi sighed. 'You better enjoy your last few days of peace because we are coming for our lights'.

Yugi: You almost made me kiss Adrianne! *Summons sword of light*
Orange: Almost being the important part, you didn't actually kiss her
Yugi: But still! *Closes in on Vicky*
Orange: Ok I'm sorry Yugi
Yugi: *Pouts*
Adrianne: Aww you're so cute when you pout *Glomps Yugi*
Yugi: Ahh Someone help
Yami: I'll Save You Yugi! *Fight's Adrianne for Yugi*
