HEY GUYS! ^-^

This is the first chapter (…REVAMPED, actually…) of the first story that I plan to post on Fanfiction! I'm so excited and can't wait to hear from you all about it. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! ^-^ Thanks for everything and once again ENJOY!

Oh I almost forgot,

Disclaimer: I DO NOT OWN Yu Yu HAKUSHO OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS IN IT. (However, everybody else present within the story (Kiara, Megumi, Damious, etc…) are my original characters.)

AND

There happens to be and will be (…definitely in the near future…) mature content (a.k.a lime and lemons). SO IF NOT PREPARED FOR THIS, DON'T READ MY STORY. Keep your innocence. (Hahaha LOL ^-^) ALSO, you should be made aware that there will be profanity in this chapter and in all the other chapters that follow.

Okay, now with everything said, (or so I hope anyway -_-?) ON TO THE STORY! ^-^

Soul Mates!

Chapter 1: "Sisters of Planet Lunar"

"Hurry Kiara! Megumi, you too! This way!" A beautiful middle-aged woman—who looked to be in her mid-twenties—desperately whispered as she lead the way through a dark labyrinth known to only a select few. She looked over her shoulder, feeling some sort of easiness wash over her when she spotted the two young girls following without the utterance of a single word. With quick haste, the middle-aged woman continued on the path that would lead her girls to freedom.

As she continued on, a feeling of great sorrow and sadness crept upon her, for the lives of these two wonderful young ladies were about to unfold without her. Whether it be for the better or for the worse was left in the hands of fate itself. Nevertheless, she heavily prayed to God that it would turn out to be for the better.

Refocusing on the task at hand, the young, mid-aged woman had successfully lead the two girls out of an unknown tunnel, to come across a magnificent garden filled with various flowers, their petals taking on hues that seemed inconceivable. At the center lay a small platform decorated with ancient markings, which were carved deep and spoke of an ancient secret understood and witnessed by only a few. So magnificent was this center that the young, mid-aged woman stopped abruptly as if intimidated. But the next second, she walked upon it with utter grace and poise, though distraught was her state.

As she stepped upon the center of the platform, she motioned for the two girls to follow suit. In hesitation, they boarded the platform and it wasn't until they did so that the woman spoke.

"You both do realize what is happening, correct?" she said, her voice light voice, traced with sadness, yet firm that of a beloved queen. Both girls looked at each other - making serious eye contact -before looking back at the woman again, fear and confusion ever present in their eyes.

"Damious, the King of the Underworld, has come to annihilate our kind." At that statement, horror became an every present being residing in both of the girls. The queen continued, "He is a menace and a villain who will stop at nothing until his objective is achieved. And I'm afraid it is almost complete."

"No! This can't be happening!" Kiara exclaimed, tears threatening to fall out of cerulean blue eyes, decorated with silver crystals.

"There must be a way to stop him!" Megumi declared, practically choking on her words.

The young, mid-aged woman shook her head, a crestfallen expression consuming her face. "I'm afraid not, my loved ones. He is too powerful for us to defeat at this point and time." Stepping close, the queen placed a soothing hand on both the cheeks of each of the girls. "But however tragic this might be for our people, there is still hope that not all will parish."

"Really?" Kiara could only whisper between tears, a glimmer of hope sparkled in those bejeweled eyes of hers.

"Yes." The queen replied nodding, her lips curving into that famous smile that won the hearts of her people. She wiped away Kiara's tears before continuing. "I will be sending you both to a different dimension that will allow you time to grow in strength and power. I pray that he never find you, but in the event that he does, you must use you acquired powers to kill him for he will not rest untill you both are dead."

Both girls froze in astonishment, unable to believe what they just heard.

"No! You can't send us to a different dimension!" Megumi yelled, terror a real thing in her voice.

"Megumi's right, mother. This is absolutely ridiculous!" Kiara exclaimed.

With a stern voice characterized by both mother and queen, the young, mid-aged woman replied, "Well no matter how ridiculous it sounds, you both will be going. End of discussion."

"But what about you, mother?" Kiara said, sorrow filling the air. "Surely, you will come with us, right?"

The queen smiled, but it was touched by a hint of sorrow, which she refused to show because she needed her them to be strong. She was sending them off, her precious babies, to a world not even she knew of. And the unknown killed her along with the fact that this was the last time she would see her daughters. That this was the last time she would hear their voices. And that this was the last time she would hold them close.

Squeezing the hands of both her girls, the young, mid-aged woman said, "My duty, as not only the Queen of the Lunar Kingdom, but as your mother, is to transport you both safely in this time of crisis to another dimension."

"But-"

"No."

"Mother—"

"Kiara!" The young, mid-aged woman exclaimed in a reprimanding tone. "You both," she started, releasing a silent sigh, "whether you realize it or not, have the power born within you to stop Damious."

"Then why are we not at battle this instant!?" Megumi inquired. But she already knew the answer to her own question. Unable to hold it in, she let her them fall, her tears now an overflow of wet streams running down her face. Megumi rarely ever cried and to see her daughter in this state, cut at the young, mid-aged woman's heart. She embraced them both, encircling both her daughter in a blanket of comfort only a mother could provide.

"You both know it is not your time yet. You two must train and grow stronger, enabling yourselves to reach your full potential." The young, mid-aged woman released them, looking down with at both her daughters will all her love. "I know that your journey will be a difficult, challenging one, but you both must never give up. Watch out for each other and live your lives to the fullest without neglecting your duty. Find happiness and defeat Damious with all that you've got. I know you will do just fine. And always remember that wherever you go," she said, placing a loving kiss on each of their foreheads, "I will always be with you always."

Pulling her daughters in a tight hug for the last time, the young, mid-aged woman uttered, "I love you, both."

"We love you too, mother." Kiara and Megumi both replied, taking in what would be the last moment in their mother's embrace. Then the ground trembled beneath their feet, a signal that it was time.

Reluctant the queen released both her daughters, leaving them in the center of the platform.

"Mother."

The queen looked at her daughter, eyes a deep blue like the sea, filled with determination.

"We will defeat Damious." She stated.

Smiling bright, her eyes wet with tears, the mid-aged woman answered, "I know you will."

Removing the necklace embroidered with the family crest from her neck, the queen raised it in the air, chanting, "Mettrion emila gabeza. Mettrion emila gabeza." Faster and faster the words flew, the necklacing glowing like a hot white flame. Then Kiara and Megumi's aura started to glow, taking form around them. Kiara's fiery blue aura began to intertwine with Megumi's, which adorned a deep purple hue.

Spotting this change, their mother stopped chanting, saying, "Your synchronization is nearly complete. This will ensure that you both will arrive at your destination together. So when I count to three you both must say, 'Alla Desperia', okay?"

Both girls nodded.

Their mother smiled at them for the last time, this time unable to hide her sorrow. "Okay, girls. One...two...three!"

"ALLA DESPERIA!" With their chant a lingering sound in the air, a sudden gush of wind instantly swirled around them at a sporadic speed. Their mother moved back, a few more feet from the platform, not sure what would happen next.

Kiara began to shine, Megumi following soon after. Then in a blink of an eye, they were consumed by light the color of their auras, which shot skyward into the stars and disappeared into the distance.

"Be careful, my daughters. Please be careful." Their mother whispered into the stars that now carried her daughters to an unforeseen destination. Wiping the tears that fell at their departure, the Queen of the Lunar Kingdom took in a breath and began to walk in the direction of battle, where she would ultimately meet her fate.

Demon World: SIX YEARS LATER...

"Well that was a workout." Megumi said, her tone filled with sarcasm, while drenched in the remains of a thousand plus demons she and Kiara had effortlessly killed.

"Easy for you to say." Kiara replied with a smirk, removing a bird's claw from one of the blue highlights in her now muddled light brown hair. "I had to take on that stupid eagle thing, which was probably twice as big and as difficult as that gargantuan spider." Kiara shivered at the very thought of that abomination. She absolutely hated spiders and was more than glad she wasn't the one who had to kill it.

"Oh really?" Megumi's purple eyes flickered with the thought of a verbal challenge. "Well, did your eagle have acid poison flowing from all eight of its legs?"

"Hmm, well the beak was more than enough in that case. But spiders can't fly, can they?" The silver crystals in those alluring blue eyes pulsed, weaker and weaker as the edge that only fighting gave Kiara ebbed away slowly. Whenever it came to defeating putrid evil demons, it was almost tradition to have such enticing banters with her partner in crime, who she had to admit was the tougher of the two of them.

"If you count the way that eight-legged freak pounced around, then yeah, spiders fly." Megumi, who on the other hand was permanently edgy, saw that the fight was only just beginning as she did a full flip in the air and sliced a half-alive demon with a powerful kick that moved so fast it left a faint purple trail in its wake, gone as quickly as it had come.

"Impressive... for a slacker." Kiara's smirk widened just a bit as she tilted her head to one side to watch Megumi's reaction. What she said was the truth, though; the spunky midnight-haired diva with her purple highlights was always in her element, fighting off and annihilating demon after demon.

Said slacker shrugged, running a quick hand through her damp locks, showing her restlessness. "Call me what you want, but when it comes to the kill, you know I get the job done." The words were uttered with a devilish smile plastered on her face.

"With pleasure." Kiara added, smiling sweetly as her innocent side kicked in. She leaned over, placing her bloody hands on her knees which were equally bloody in black demon's blood. She took a deep breath, tilting her head down toward her stomach, the long, knee-length hair falling forward from its sloppy bun high atop her head, and tried to see the damage done to her body. She concluded that there weren't any major ones, just maybe a couple cuts and scrapes where that bird's nasty beak tried to get at her and other lesser demons dared to touch her. And now, all she wanted was a long, soothing bath at the springs they spotted not too far from their current location.

"Let's go to the springs. A nice bath is desperately needed." Megumi then suggested. Kiara's head snapped back up as she looked over at Megumi with a smile that would have fallen off her face if it could.

"I was thinking the exact same thing! I could use a nice deep cleansing session."

"As if you don't take at least four a day." Megumi muttered low, barely a whisper, hiding her smile behind her sarcasm.

Placing both hands on curvaceous hips, Kiara replied, "I heard that," playfully glaring at her the back of her sister's head.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Megumi answered back, focused on the debris left from the entertaining battle. All of this would soon disappear once the cleanup committee came through; demons who feasted like the vultures they are, eating the remains of demon blood and flesh.

Absentmindedly, Megumi added, "And you know, it's a shame there were only a couple thousand of them this time." The corner of her small lips tugged up in a half-smile.

Kiara rolled her eyes. "Please, Meg, like you could've held on longer," a spoken challenge.

"Oh way longer." Megumi replied, swinging her one word in an array of intricate movements, grinning nonstop. Kiara answered with a laugh.

Kiara loved to fight, the very act inbred within her bones, but Megumi was something else. She fought to the death with every match, whether it real or just practice. And if in a situation where she had no energy left to fight, she'd somehow keep on fighting, just for the fun of it. Megumi was and always will be an addict when it comes to that.

Shaking her head, Kiara smiled leading the way, running as the purity of the bubbling springs—which she could hear even from where she was—called to her. Megumi followed close behind, placing her friend in its scabbard secured on her back.
