Chapter twenty one.
What Lucy saw next made her freeze. Since when did Team Natsu enjoy shouting at their team mates? Like Onix had said, the guild hadn't taken well to their little pixie going missing. They were in complete chaos. A smirk found it's way up to Lucy's lips, curling them in a demented fashion.
"Have you looked hard enough?"
"Yes!"
"She couldn't have just gone missing!"
It sounded like Erza and Natsu our favourite blonde ruled, leaning against the stone wall that seperated the hall from their private courters for Fairy Tail. With a kick, she pushed herself back into a standing position. She turned to leave and almost got away when the wooden door opened. Two voices shouted then, two pairs of arms shot out to grab her elbow and two seconds was all it took for her to start running.
Zeref rested on Onix's hip as she flicked a strand of blue hair over her shoulder. The young boy had been put through so much, all to impress his sister. Family reunions weren't planned for the next...well never. The five year old grumbled into Onix's torso, sucking on his thumb. All those years in a body that he wasn't prepared for completely drained his magic, she'd be surprised if he could ever force her back into a coma if she turned again. Last time he had created a lullaby that hit the nail on the head. Shoes slapped the white tiled floor up ahead.
Straining her eyes, she made out a blonde figure being followed by a red-head and pink haired idiot.
"For F's sake"
Lucy sprinted, noticing only slightly that Onix had joined up with her halfway to the streets. She was torn, half of her wanted to cry in her ex-friend's arms whilst the other wanted to punch them until they bled. Love was complicated. They descended further, breaking into sunlight and ditched the two tailers soon after they disappeared into the crowds of people.
Ducking so they wouldn't be spotted again, Lucy grabbed the Hex Dispeller's hand and guided her into a nearby cafe. The homey feel it gave didn't fail to please the panting blonde. Onix sat herself down across from Lucy and plopped her younger brother into the seat next to her on the square table. He mumbled something about it being too girly for him.
"What's with the kid?"
The bluenette giggled at her best friends oblivious to the child clinging onto her during their run, "He's just a boy who couldn't find his parents." Zeref gave a humf at her blunt and obvious lie, displeased. But of course, the doe-eyed doll accepted it happily.
"What's your name little boy?" Lucy asked, giving a neutral smile as if she'd scare it away with her usual million wat one.
"Z-"
"Z, just Z" Onix concluded giving him a look.
Satisfied with the answer, our favourite blonde grinned before ordering herself a chocolate sundae as a treat for escaping her ex-guild member, ignoring the guilt feeling ripping at her soul. Onix's nerves melted away at her sister's happiness. Something caught her eye in the corner of the room. A shadow moved across the wall, connected to nothing but air. WIth a raised eyebrow, she elbowed Lucy, making a gesture that screamed Look. The Celestial mage did as she was told and stifled a gasp.
Once again, the black figure jumped, leaping out the window and onto the pavement below. A crooked smirk fixed itself onto Zara's face, quickly erased by the spark of magic Zeref had sent her way.
"I gotta go Lucy. Take care of Z for me"
She exited the building quickly and turned into a vacant alleyway, or so that's what it looked like to every passer-by-er, "Fancy meeting you here"
The next day showed the results of the previous day scribbled on a billboard overhanging the stadium. Lucy and Onix stood in it's center, cloaked with the shimmering material. It was their turn to fight and against two other people from each guild. The crowd roared with delight as the iron gates lifted off of the remaining three tunnels that led up to the podium for guilds.
Blue Pegasus: James and Kylie. (A/N: Made up people. Ignore)
Sabertooth: Sting and Rogue.
Fairytail: Lisanna and Natsu.
Apparently, Erza had been sent out of round 2 because of some emergency regarding the guild members who had stayed behind. Lucy was going to enjoy this match, she knew it. The canon fired, everyone charged at a random person avoiding Lucy as well as Onix. I mean, you can't hit someone you can't even see can you? That cold, numbness was spreading through Lucy's stomach, making her eyes filter into slits. The bluette took a blank key off of the black, leather belt binding the set to her matching jeans. Holding it close to her heart, the Hex Dispeller turned it so the blocky part was facing her palm, she squeezed. Blood rolled out the brocked skin and snaked around the silver key, blackening it.
"There"
Lucy gently took the bloody item, "Thanks"
Smoke slithered away from the pair of girls. A gust of wind broke through their invisibility barrier, exposing them to the eyes of thousands. Natsu was on top of Rogue, pinning him down with a shocked expression at the sudden entrance whilst Lisanna was doing her best to hide from the fight.
Bitch.
"Open! Gate of Demons! Release!"
The surrounding arena darkened, many shrieked at the feeling of claws raking against their skins trying to find their target. Finally, the scene returned to normal.
"Well, I guess three is better than nothing" Onix consoled the bitter girl. Rogue as well as the two Pegasus members were out cold on the floor bleeding. Lucy didn't wait before she took off towards the squawking Lisanna, taking her down to the ground by grabbing her in seconds.
"Bitch! Bitch! Bitch!"
Zara stared at the fuming blonde as she continued to beat around the white haired mage. Her bottom lip was quivering as she tried to contain the maniac laughter threatening to erupt from her throat. A hand on her shoulder brought her back to reality. Onix glanced over to see a certain Light Dragon Slayer. A strangled cry came out of her mouth before he flipped her.
...
Fairy Tail Guild
Erza burst through the doors expecting a riot of some sort, or a bar fight, the typical day-to-day things but no. What had actually been there was a collection of all the pub tables and chairs. Every member sat there, their head in their hands whilst some of the girls cried.
"What's going on?" She ordered, mustering up enough courage to burst the bubble of shock. Levi looked up to her with teary eyes.
"Go see for yourself!" The blue eyed girl snapped, pointing her in the direction of their Master's office. Steadily, Erza made her way up the stairs, ignoring the sobs wracking the guilds frames. Cautiously, she edged towards the oak doors and looked through the keyhole.
Nothing. She couldn't see anything.
Gulping, she pushed the door open, preparing to hand out a lecture to whoever was currently residing in the room.
"You have a lot of explaining to do!? Why is everyone-!?" Her voice went dead, everything stilled and the sky felt like it was falling.
"Elfman!?"
...
That's all for this week! Thanks for reading! :D Lots more drama I assure you. Lucy WILL have her revenge, Muhahaha!

I think I should explain something, "Zara" and "Onix" are the same person. When I switched between the two names it mean she's feeling like her old, criminally insane self (Zara) or her new, happy-go-lucky self (Onix). Am I the only one who uses 'Happy-go-lucky' outside at school or with friends?
