Lucy took a sharp intake of breath.
Shit.
The blonde looked down at her toes, shifting them anxiously. Would Natsu try and kill her here? Would he try to make her into mince meat out of respect for Elman? She bit her lip, sucking on the blood that had rushed to the surface almost immediately. The Dragon Slayer's face had gone pale, his mouth opening and closing like a fish's would. The cloak felt like it needed to be doubled in thickness to suppress the chills running up and down Lucy's spine. The keys nestled on her belt were beginning to sing, the black handled ones reacting to her fear. Relishing in it. They hadn't done this before now but the soothing feeling of warmth was accepted by the fragile girl.
"Lucy?" Natsu's voice snapped her back into reality. "Is that seriously you?" He asked, his eyes reflecting her form shaking under his hopeful gaze. The pink haired idiot reached up for the side of her porcelain face and felt the cold skin. Chocolate eyes connected with the dark green ones that pried for her answer.
"Y-Yes"
Lucy closed her eyes, preparing herself for the fatal blows that he was going to exert. Instead, she felt her body being crushed by the boy in a hug. His face was tucked into her neck, breathing in the familiar scent that had been masked by magic. Tears were leaking for her eyes.
"I'm so sorry, I should never have let you go!" Natsu said into her ear, the motion and words made her stiffen. What? "I'm sorry I didn't believe you or let you say what you thought! Please don't hate me! I don't think I could handle being away from you again!"
Lucy pushed back, letting the void feeling of air caress her body once again, "You give me an apology and just expect me to forgive you? Magically Like you didn't even do anything!?" Her voice turned shrill, her own malice coming back in full force. How dare he? Did he think she was that simple and dumb to fall for that!?
"No. I don't" His reply caught her off guard, "But it's the only place I can start isn't it?" The blonde's anger evaporated. The set eyes of determination were hunting that were beginning to fill with salty water.
Sting couldn't quite grasp his situation, this was the girl who had just beaten him. Onix stood in front of him, waving her hands around in his line of sight. She was making sentences but they were blocked out by a single thought that kept repeating in his mind.
I was beat up by Olive?
The bluette grasped his fingers and started bending them at odd angles, trying to re-spark the fire that had come to a stand still in his dark blue eyes. An idea formed in the Hex Dispeller's mind that made her smirk dangerously, she gripped onto his limp wrist and proceeded to place in under her tank top onto her belly.
Nothing.
Raising an eyebrow she sat on his lap, her face facing his. Scowling, she moved his hand upwards so his palm was hovering directly above her left breast. Biting the side of her mouth out of annoyance, Onix smacked the dazed blonde across the face.
"What?" Sting asked, his orbs blinked rapidly to clear his way back into reality.
"Are you serious? I make sexual advanced on you and you ignore that but as soon as I freaking abuse you, your mind does 'Hey, I like this, I should wake up now'?" The teen wasn't angry in the least but that didn't mean she wasn't offended, "My pride as a woman is struck" She pouted, turning her head to the side to look out the window of the small confined room they'd slipped in to. Two figures were still left in the arena and were talking calmly to one another. Well, as calmly as throwing the middle finger up at each other could be.
So Lucy and Natsu are friends again?
The blonde and pinkette had stopped and were suddenly holding hands before Lucy mumbled something that made the figure in front of her stiffen like a board slightly and run a hand through his hair.
"It's getting intense out there isn't it?" Onix said, breaking the blanket of silence that had muffled the two people. She snuck a glance at the blonde who had placed a hand on the small of her back to prevent her from falling off his lap. A tinge of pink was painting Sting's face as he pretended the situation wasn't bothering him in the slightest. Onix giggled, her chest shaking from the sudden exhaling of breath. Sting's eyes immediately went down to his hand still residing on top of the bluettes left bra cup. Red was the understatement as to how much blood rushed to his head then. A few stutters were directed at her but made no sense. He finally seemed to snap out of it.
"Olive! When did you-Why did you- How did I not notice!?"
Onix scratched the back of her ear, "Actually. My name isn't Olive"
Lucy and ONix sighed as they rested theirs head on the train window. Each guild had been evacuated to a safe spot because of the strange storm that had wiped the city out. Buildings as well as people had been strewn in the streets when they'd left. Fairy Tail as well as Sabertooth were told to stay in the remaining Demon Tears dorm until further notice without killing anyone. The Saints had decided to stay behind and invest in further training until the Games would be brought back. Eden and Iris went to the frost mountains of Mellajore whilst Anya and Venus went to the forest surrounding it to practice their magic. Liz and Princess left for MagnoliaCity even though Lucy was strongly against it, to spy on Fairy Tail members who hadn't gone to the Tournament. Ruki and Rosie – as usual – disappeared in their bubbly mood, promising to be back in time. Memory and Angeline were still set on returning home so they occupied the seats beside their two Mistress'.
"I'm so glad that we gave them phones" The blonde suddenly announced, smiling at the passing scenery of lush grass and tall trees.
"Me too. Imagine what they would've done if we hadn't. They still have their guild credit cards tight?" The Hex Dispeller questioned, brining herself out of the sea of thought she was having, all revolving around a certain Dragon Slayer who had asked if she'd be his girlfriend before they'd left. Zeref sat on her lap like he normally did, unnoticed by the other girls in the compartment since he was asleep.
"I can't believe we'll have to share our guild with Fairies and Sabers" Memory stated annoyed, se was busy plaiting Angeline's white hair that had grown longer since their last visit back to their guild. Memory slipped in another plastic flower she had gotten form the cart lady who'd come round to their booth an hour ago. Angeline just hummed as the sensation of her hair being tugged made her close her eyes. Onix stretched upwards, waking the sleeping seven year old form of her brother. His black hair was dishevelled as usual, making him even cuter than he was before. Suddenly their compartment door was slid open and a girl their age walked in. Her lavender iris' connected with Onix's black ones, letting ice in to her veins.
"I'm sorry, all the other seats were full, d o you mind?"
Lucy didn't seem to notice her sister's rigid jaw, "No no, it's fine. Sit." The Hex Dispeller studied the girl for longer, taking in her auburn hair and fair skin. Not a blemish in sight.
"I'm Nakita"
The bluette shook the anxious feeling off. It wasn't possible. It was ridiculous to even think about!
Besides, they were meant to be dead weren't they?
Originally this is where the two books split but I've decided to pile them into the one book once more! So if you've already read this and are wondering why it updated even though it's finished, my explanation is as above ;)
