Yuuri POV

Yuuri ran as soon as he sees his friend starting to look pale and was standing unstably. He knew he felt something was not right, as the blonde was awfully quiet after the drinking ceremony ended despite him talking with many girls. As he ran, he saw the latter's starts to lose his balance and starts falling on his knees. Luckily, Yuuri managed to catch the blonde before he could hit his head onto the ground.

"Wolfram! Wolfram!" He called out to the weakened boy, as he try to shake the latter's body. He could see the half-opened emerald green looked at him and slowly shuts. He immediately calls for help; not bothered that there are guests around. Everyone in the hall was shocked and turned their attention to the both of them. Lady Flynn was one of the crowds, grasped at the sight of that prideful blonde in a weakened state. Conrad, who was the closest, heard the call and immediately rushed to his side, shocked by this situation. The tall man wanted to ask what had happened but he knew now isn't the time. He needed to get his younger brother medical attention. He checked for the younger man's pulse and briefly checked on his temperature. The brown haired immediately knew that the blonde is poisoned. Without wasting time, he carries his unconscious younger brother and rushed the blond to his room while asking a guard to call upon Gisela, their doctor.

After laying Wolfram on the bed, Gisela rushed in and immediately attend to her patient. Worried, Yuuri looked at Conrad's calm face. He can't believe that his brother is unconscious and yet he can look so calm. He was not even sure whether Conrad is feeling sad about the blonde's situation or not. When Gisela finally finished examined the fire mazoku, Yuuri immediately asked what actually happened to his irreplaceable friend. He could feel his hands shaking from fear of what might happened as he slowly waits for what Gisela has to say.

"From what I have observed, he drank poison during the drinking ceremony or should I say he was poisoned. It's a poison that will last for a week, whether you survive or not, it's fully depends on your maryoku and the will of living." Gisela said and at the same time, hope that she didn't hurt much of the King's feeling. The doctor then looked over to Yuuri, slightly dumb founded.

Yuuri noticed the stare; he immediately asked, "What's wrong? " Is there anything else?

"I'm sorry, Your Majesty, but as I know, the both of you drank the same drink from the ceremony. However, you are fine and there's isn't any sign of you being poisoned." Gisela said as she slowly observed the King's condition.

Just then, Yuuri remembered that there was one drink that he never did have. It was the drink that the beautiful lady offers. That was the only drink that Wolfram snatches away and drank it all.

"Well…. There was one of the drink I didn't take as Wolfram snatched it away and drink it all." Yuuri told the doctor. Just then, he felt as if the water in his eyes desperately wants to burst out. He realized that Wolfram probably did it to protect him and in a way that he will never noticed until it happened.

Just before Gisela could say anything, Yuuri burst out. "Why did he have to do that? I should have been the one who is poisoned!" He knew he should be thankful and happy that Wolfram protected him but at the same time, he was mad at himself for not noticing the poison in the drink. His hand gripped into a fist when he felt them shaking harder and he didn't really want to look weak. Why? Why would he have to go so far even if he had to sacrifice himself? Wolfram… why?

"Hate to break it to you, Your Majesty, but there's something you should know. Same goes to everyone here." Gisela said to Yuuri and the other people in the room that includes Conrad, Gunter and Murata Ken whom joined a few minutes after Gisela came in. " This type of poison hasn't have the cure yet as nobody have actually cure this before. I'm sorry but I had to tell you guys this. However, I will try my best and I can help in easing the pain." She said again. This time, she felt as if she just stabbed everyone one of their hearts especially the raven-haired since the room becomes dead silence and the air felt tense.

"Despite that, for now at least, his condition is stable. Throughout this whole week, he will need a lot of attention and his states are weakened. Hence, we have to take turn staying watch." Gisela continued. "Not to mention, the peak of this condition is very critical and not many survive through this stage. It will usually happen almost at the end of the week." She looked at every each of them and realized that she should have let them digest the information. It must be too shocking to hear about someone getting into such serious condition when he was so animated before.

On the other hand, Yuuri didn't know how to react or what to do as Gisela goes on about the horrible things that could happen to Wolfram in the near future. It sounded as if Wolfram has just drank himself into a deadly condition. Whether or not he survives, it is up to him.

Meanwhile, the woman with the sky blue eyes is looking out from afar. She stares at the Blood Pledge Castle where she left with her mission stray from her objective.

"I can't believe you would miss your target especially to a jealous brat." A big tanned guy was standing beside her. He had a large tattoo of a hawk on his chest. The woman clicked her tongue and bit her thumbnail. She was pissed at the man's statement especially when it is the truth. Despite that, deep inside she knew that the brat is not just some brat. Even though in the outside, he looked like he's overwhelming with jealousy, she could see that that brat have a sharp observation.

"Next time, I wouldn't miss. In fact, I'll take this an opportunity to test whether the poison is that deadly as it is said or not." As she said, the wind blow by, and her hair blow along with the wind. On her nape, it shows the same hawk tattoo on it.

The man just smirks at her saying, knowing that the woman can be very cruel when she is serious.

** The poison in the story is purely made up hence it may sounds a little exaggerating but all for the best of the story… haha… besides it's a fiction~ anything can happen~ XP
