What for some seemed like such a long time ago, other just yesterday, yet it was commonly accepted to have been at another age entirely, two young boys had run across a ship.
"HIHI! See if you can catch me!" An thirteen year old boy with red hair laughed loudly.
"SHANKS THAT'S NOT FAIR!" A boy of the exact same age yelled coming spurting straight of him, a boy whom shared his age but that's where the similarities stopped, because this boy had blue hair mostly hidden under a silly looking hat and his nose was red, red and round like a clowns. "GIVE ME BACK MY TREASURE MAP SHANKS!"
"Then take it back!" Shanks blew a tongue at him as he held a hand over his beloved straw hat on his head.
"NEVER!" Buggy shouted.
"Okay fine." Shanks shrugged and jumped up only to dissapear.
"Uh, I HATE it when he does that." Buggy hissed as he stamped on the ground, looking around himself to find out where the red haired boy had gone, then he heard it, a slight rustle among the crates to his left. Buggy grinned to himself, but then put on a more annoyed frown for an act. "Bleh, a might as well give up I guess." he commented as he put his hands behind his back, only for his right hand to magically detach itself, and fly away as if had a will of its own. "I never win at these stupid games anyway. Is party, lazying around and games really all you can ever think about Shanks?" he asked in a snort. Then shook his head. "Well, i'm just gonna go… HAH!" he suddenly shouted as the disambodied hand flew up in the air now holding a treasure map.
"HEY!" Shanks exclaimed now appearing behind the crates. "That's cheating!"
"No it's not." Buggy told as it was now his turn to reach tounge of Shanks. "You use your tricks I use mine." he stated.
"Heh, fair enough I guess." Shanks grinned amused as he jumped up from the crates.
"Maybe then you will learn not to mess with ME!" Buggy stated proudly pointing at herself. "You'll just get hurt!"
"I guess so." Shanks smirked a little amused.
Just as a shadow appeared behind both of them, but neither noticed at ones… That was until suddenly two hands reached forward and grabbed each of the boys by the ear making them both scream and howl in pain.
"Well what do we have here?" a middle aged man of proud stature smirked. "Slacking off are we? I seem to recall someone whom is supposed to sweep the deck right now." Rayleigh, first mate of the ship stated.
"Auw, auw, it's hurts!" Buggy cried as he struggled to get out.
And Shanks to was squirming as a fish while his ear was being so tightly hold.
"I'M SORRY RAYLEIGH SAMA!" Buggy at least cried. "I promise i'll behave and swap the deck!"
"Me to." Shanks commented as he bit together. "I'll behave!"
And finally Rayleigh let go.
"Until noon that is." Buggy snorted as he glared at Shanks. "If I had to count the times, all the times I had to pull you out of trouble. BECAUSE YOU ARE AN IDIOT!" he shouted at Shanks. "You always get me into trouble!" he complained.
"Sorry." Shanks shrugged, and suddenly Rayleigh had to glare at them.
"I'm-gonna-go-sweep-the-deck!" Buggy suddenly exclaimed as he turned around and zoomed away.
"I'm going to!" Shanks exclaimed as he ran straight after him holding his straw hat in place with his hand.
Defeated Rayleigh shook his head. "Those two." he commented in a sigh rubbing his eyes. "When will they ever not be fighting?" he asked.
Many years after, around one a half year after the straw hat had vanished, alongside its current owner Strawhat Luffy.
After Luffy had been in the centre at the battle of Marineford, no one had seen to the young pirate Captain nor his crew.
Shanks was still pirate Emperor, nothing had changed about that.
Buggy had so far managed to stay untop as war lord for those one and a half year, a little more in fact. And so far so good, perhaps the odds were in his favor after all and he could keep it going, certainly seemed like it at the moment.
There was a strange air around the main ship of the Buggy fleet now though, Buggys own ship where he lived and stayed at.
For the last few days the Buggy pirates had been mystified by their Captains strange behaviour as they moved closer and closer to Sabboday.
He was uncharacteristically quiet and thoughtful, yet on the same time snapped more easily then usually at his crew members.
Got angry over small things but then retrieved to his own Captain chambers.
As they neared Sabboday, Buggy himself was to be found at the front of the ship with his eyes firmly put on the piece of land they were approaching. Nobody could tell what was going on inside of his skull... no one. Not even his own crew.
The day the Buggy ship made port by Sabboday, Buggy was quiet all the day… Except from when he jumped up at people, shouting and ranting at them for being incompetent! making the entire crew wonder ones again.
Then as the sun had set and the dark engulfted the island, something even weirder happened.
A mysterious lonely figure was leaving the ship, all alone!
He had covered himself up in a dark robe, so no one could see who it was.
Cabaji whom was on guard duty that night saw the figure and at ones got suspecious, he sneered as he reached for his sword and moved closer, only to see the figure slightly turn his head and at ones the trade mark big red nose was shortly visible.
THE CAPTAIN!
At ones Cabaji halted as he moved back and hid behind the mast, wide-eyed looking at his robbed captain whom collected the robe around himself, and jumped over the ship.
At ones Cabaji ran to the railing and looked down, to see the hood at shortly fallen off revealing Buggys face, and the fact that Buggy was lacking his usual very extravagant clown captains get up.
Instead his blue hair was very simply pulled back in a long horsetail, his face was still painted with a cross-bones in his forehead, but not as heavily as usual.
It was hard to tell what he was wearing under the robe, but it looked like very common blouse and trousers like he would usually wear under his captains coat anyway.
Still this posed quite the big couple of questions.
Why on earth would Captain Buggy be leaving his ship all alone in the middle of the night, without telling anyone or bringing any back up.
Why wouldn't he put on his best Captains coat and hat? What was going on?
"Cabaji, you alright?" Mohji asked as he approached from behind rubbing his eyes, Richie the big lion followed in his wake.
"Captain Buggy just left our ship." Cabaji told as he pointed at the shore.
"He WHAT?!" Mohji asked. "Hey why should I even believe you?" he asked in a snort and Richie nodded.
"I saw it to." A new voice commented, Mr. 3 as he stopped out of hiding crossing his arms. "I saw him come out of his quarters wearing that hood, very suspicious if you ask me." he commented.
"Oh come on this is our Captain Buggy, he wouldn't leave us out!" Mohji exclaimed. "Unless it's for revenge for that time we left him in the hands of the marines that send him to Impel down, then he would totally do his to get revenge on us."
The three epople and the lion all quieted, then looked at each other before screaming. "WUARRGH! HE IS OUT TO RAT OUT HIS OWN CREW!" they all screamed.
"Captain Buggy how could you do that to us?!" Cabaji cried wiping away tears with his arms.
"I guess it's nothing less than what we deserve, but come on! Haven't you ever heard of second chances?!" Mohji cried and Richie wailed with him. "haven't we earned that by now?! A second chance?!" he asked in a big cry.
"Oi." Mr. 3 then muttered crossing his arms. "We actually don't know if that is at all what he's up to." he reminded the two and lion.
"Oh yeah." Cabaji realised. "Then… how do we find out?" he asked.
Mr. 3 looked pretty impatiently at them.
"NO!" Mohji exclaimed. "You are not suggesting that we… follow him?" he asked.
"Why not?" Mr. 3 asked. "It did look very suspicious, and if he really is out to make a drop on us. I'll say we'll be in our good right to make a drop on him first!" he stated.
"YEAH!" The two others yelled as Richie roared.
"Come on lets hurry!" Cabaji exclaimed. "Or we'll just loose him!" he stated as he jumped off the ship and unto the ground.
"COMING!" The other two shouted as they came after him, followed by a big lion crying as he didn't realize just how big the drop was.
For Buggy a big drop sounded and he jumped up as his body scattered in several pieces, frightened he looked over his shoulder, but could only see very little in the dark, but then finally shrugged and dismissed the noise as he went forward into the middle of the city until at last he reached his destination, a little bar at the outskirts of town and almost in the woods, hesitating Buggy looked at the door before he at last opened and was invited with a warm light yet a very empty looking bar room.
Only one woman was there on the other side of the bar desk, a ciggerate in her mouth and washing a glass as she looked up looking at Buggy. "Ah, may I help you sir?" she asked.
Slowly Buggy lifted his hands and let down the hood. "I suppose a glass of Sake wouldn't be compleately out of the question." he then stated. "Or maybe if you have something stronger."
"As long as you can pay." The woman stated as she pulled up a bottle of fine whiskey.
"Now we are talking." Buggy smirked as he moved all the way inside and sat down on a chair. "Just leave the bottle." he then waved with his hand.
The Woman shrugged. "Can you pay?" she asked and Buggy flipped a golden coin directly towards her which the woman caught in mid air, then looked at it with squinted eyes, bit slightly in it and at last smiled. "It's all yours."
Buggy grinned and emptied out the first glass in one go before he exhaled deeply. "Ah that hit the spot, good stuff." he laughed.
The woman smirked. "So, what brings you around here?" she asked picking up the dirty glass again starting to clean.
That made Buggy hesitated and he looked down. "Well… erhm… You see." he hesitated. "A friend of mine… Well not really a friend I can't stand that little brat. But anyway, he told me that.. Erhm.. Well." he swallowed. "There should be like an old man around here." Buggy mumbled. "Doing ship coating… A man with long silver colored hair and a scar over his left eye." he told looking up.
"Oh, yes he belongs here. But I don't think he'll be available for a while." the woman told.
"Well that's just typical." Buggy muttered leaning his cheek on his hand. "And after all the bother of getting here." he grumbled.
"Wait." The woman blinked as she looked at him again, now seeming to really take him in. "Are you the Clown Star Buggy?" she asked.
"Oooh, so you heard of my legend?" Buggy asked in a grin.
"So it is you!" The woman asked. "Oh I see, Rayleigh has told a lot of funny stories about you, he was laughing his head off when he found out you had become a war lord!" she smiled and Buggy looked like he had been smacked in the face as he fell backwards. "Just a moment, why don't I get him. I'm sure both of them will be happy to see you!"
"What? Both?" Buggy asked, though the woman was already gone, Buggy blinked… tapped his fingers on the table, and then suddenly a shadow stepped out. Buggy dropped his hand on the table, suddenly it was like all the years that had passed was forgotten, Buggy did not dare to show off or anything. "Rayleigh-san." he barely dared to breath then jumped up and stood respectfully in front of him. "Si-Sir! I'm… So happy to see you." he told in a stiff nervous bow before daring to stand up again still looking so stiff, sweating bullets as he stood.
It was like no time had passed at all, seeing Rayleigh like that again in front of him. Suddenly Buggy didn't dare to speak up.
All his usual boasting was gone and yet he felt a lump forming in his throat… Rayleigh, it was Rayleigh! He was here.
The older man lifted an eyebrow as he looked at him, then suddenly let out a laughter. "Hahaha! Buggy! You're all coming to see an old man, making me feel even older than that. It's sure been a while."
Buggy blinked as he looked at him. "Well… urhm. Yes I suppose." he swallowed scratching his cheek. "I had no idea you were here, first when Strawhat Luffy told me.. I."
"Oh, Luffy told you?" Rayleigh asked. "I assume at Impel down?" he asked.
"Hai." Buggy slowly nodded.
"Sounds like quite the adventure you had there. Well, Roger would be disappointed if the young ones lived dull lives. HAHAHAHA!" Rayleigh laughed.
Buggy blinked, just as another shadow appeared behind Rayleigh a man with flaming red hair and a proud figure, Buggys eyes widened by the sight of him and he shouted. "SHANKS!" as he scattered into several pieces around the air.
"Oh, Buggy." Shanks blinked, then he smiled. "I sure didn't expect to see you here. What a pleasant surprise!" he grinned.
"Hey don't you play smart ass with me, I haven't forgotten you jerk!" Buggy shouted as he collected himself again and shook a tightened fist at Shanks. "Turning me into your personal lapdog for fake treasure and using me as bait on marine ford!"
Shanks smirked a little amused. "Sorry, it was the only way I could think off to get that hat back to Luffy." he told.
"You could have done it yourself." Buggy snorted.
"I am not entirely confident I would have made it. I can't fly like that." Shanks commented. "And you clearly survived marine ford, you were always way stronger than people gave you credit for."
"Eh?" Buggy blinked as he looked at him, then grumbled lowering his eyes sitting down with a pout.
Rayleigh smirked amused. "Roger didn't take weak crew members, not a single one."
That made Buggy pout even more as he swirled the glass in front of him so the contents of the glass swirled around… He was the only one in present company whom had a devil fruit power, yet he was way out of his own league. He was standing in the room with two people whom were masters at kings haki and were honestly deserving of the titles legend… He honestly didn't want to hear any comforting word from these stupid people.
Then suddenly the seat next to him was occupied, Buggy didn't even have to look up to know it was Shanks.
"Come on Buggy, three old heads back. We should party." Shanks smirked. "Drinks for all." he grinned as he made a hand gesture. "Bring in the sake!"
"You haven't changed at all have you?" Buggy asked in a pout. "Is partying and lazying around really all you ever think about?" he asked.
Shanks shrugged, but then he quieted. "Sorry about last time." he then said in a quieter voice. "I wanted to speak more to you, but you were gone so quick. And I had to leave to. It was really good seeing you there." he told. "And I have no idea why you are here now, but i'm really glad you are. I missed you my brother." he told.
Buggy rolled his eyes. "You are still on that? We shared some sake as kids and played it made us brothers when we were what? Eleven?" he asked. "You realize what bother that is causing me now?" he asked. "Everyone is just assuming I am like a brother to you." he commented dryly. "In spite of this being the first time I even see you for a decade, excluding Marineford of course." he snorted. "And you still owe me a treasure, heck you owe me a mountain of treasure at least." he commented swallowing the contents of his glass and made a refill at ones in the same movement, emptying that out as well and slammed the glass down in the table. "Okay! Who of you two smartass's was it whom decided to just cast kings haki?!" he asked looking at the two with angry suspecious eyes, then his eyes turned to Rayleigh. "What was the point of that?!" he sourly asked the older man.
Rayleigh shrugged. "Just testing the young peoples spirit." he commented. "You didn't pass out." he commented.
"Bleh, I think I grew immune by walking in such a close proximity to Roger back in the day." Buggy snorted as he rolled his eyes.
Out-side the window, a group of buggy pirates were sneaking closer to the window. "Okay." Mohji swallowed. "I think this is it, lets have a look." he stated and the rest nodded, and then slowly all of them lifted up so their eyes reached just above the window frame, just as they were met with quite the sight as the Captain, Buggy himself, was standing up tall yelling at a red haired man whom was standing right in front of him.
"NOW YOU LISTEN HERE SHANKS!" Buggy yelled. "So you think you are an all important pirate emperor and that means you can get away with just anything. But not on my watch you got that?!" he asked pointing at himself. "If you think you can just boss me around, you are having another thing coming, Shanks!" he spat.
An older man behind them smirked. "Well this bring back memories." he commented.
And Buggy snorted. "Sorry Rayleigh-sama. But I aint going to be pulled around by either of you. No not even you." he told the older man, though his voice towards this man was actually respectful.
The pirates in the window all gaped and they all fell back, their eyes wide open and sweating cold sweat. "Was… Was that… Red haired Shanks and Pirate Prince Rayleigh?!" Mohji shivered.
"And.. our Captain just told them off?! Both of them in the same go!" Cabaji almost whined.
"OUR Captain! Captain Buggy!" the Mohji shivered. "I.. I never knew he had any such thing in him."
"I never realized." Mr. 3 as well was shivering as he wrapped his arms around him. "I honestly thought that Buggy was a lot less dangerous than Crocodile but it's the other way around isn't it?! Not even Crocodile would dare to speak up to one of the pirate emperors! Let alone the pirates prince!"
Wide-eyed the three men looked at each other, then their tears came.
"Our Captain Buggy told off such big men for our sake!" Cabaji cried.
"And we had the audacity to ever doubt him!" Mohji cried. "Please forgive us Captain, please."
"WRUUU!" The Lion cried.
"You… You are the best Captain I have had." Mr. 3 sniffed.
Though if any one them had dared to look in through the window a second time right now, the picture would have looked quite different as suddenly their beloved Captain was in a much less dignified position being hold up by the ear by the older man.
He wasn't the only one though, Shanks to was held like that in his ear! And both grown men was squirming like fish.
"I think you two should settle down." Rayleigh stated as he held their ears like that. "We are all remains of the same crew here, you know how Roger felt about his nakamas leaving each other behind, it doesn't fly. You were and still are nakamas, we are Rogers crew so we will always be nakamas, and thusly we look out for each, yes also you Buggy, try to accept it one of these days."
"I don't have to accept anything!" Buggy stated and then suddenly stand up by himself only for Rayleigh to hold a disembodied ear in his hand. "Heh." Buggy grinned.
"Huh, interesting." Rayleigh commented as he let go of Shanks and held the disembodied ear in his hand looking wondering at it. "You've gained pretty good control over your devil fruit power haven't you Buggy?" he asked.
"Well, I have it, might as well use it." Buggy snorted as Rayleigh let go and the ear naturally flew back to its rightfull place on the side of Buggys head. "You can cut me to pieces and i'll just collect myself!" he grinned pointing at himself. "Sure made that Mihawk look twice! HAH! It sure is usefull!" he laughed as he turned to Shanks and then suddenly, his eyes fell on Shanks left arm or well… more like the empty sleeve.
"Huh?" Shanks looked at Buggy, then down at his empty sleeved. "Oh that, yeah sure would have been usefull to have your devil fruit power back when that happened. HAHAHAHA!" he laughed amused.
Buggy blinked then looked up at Shanks. "I had heard about that happening." he admitted. "I guess I just never thought much about it."
Shanks shrugged. "It happened a lot of years ago now, and I managed fine without." he told.
"Don't you ever take anything seriously?!" Buggy hissed. "That's an arm you are lacking there!" he exclaimed. "And a strawhat to as I can see! Are you really serious?! You gave an arm AND that hat to that brat Luffy?" he asked. "You loved that hat, Roger gave it to you!" he pointed out.
Shanks shrugged. "It seemed right at the time." he told.
"Seems to me that hat found a good place to be these days." Rayleigh added.
"Are you two serious?" Buggy asked. "You think of all places, that's where Rogers hat should be?" he asked.
"Well." Rayleigh hesitated. "If there is something Roger appreciated, it was living every day to its fullest, create as much trouble as possible, being in the centre of all of this trouble and just… make the world a more interesting place." he smirked. "Seems to me that hat has just continued the same journey, being in the centre of trouble that is. Looks right enough." he told.
"Yeah." Shanks sighed. "I'm not as young anymore, I don't get into the same amount of trouble any more."
"Yeah right." Buggy snorted. "You do realise that hat and his owner has been missing for a year and a half now right?" he asked.
Shanks smirked. "He'll be back." he stated. "Luffy doesn't give up that easily."
"I just said goodbye to him one single month ago." Rayleigh old which made the two younger men turn their heads to him.
"You did what?" Buggy asked.
"Oh yes, you two don't know. Well, i've been training Luffy for the last one and a half year, he has been a fast learner." Rayleigh told.
"WHAAAAAAT?!" Buggy splurted. "You-you-you've been training him?!" he asked.
"Sure, the kid is a natural when it comes to Haki. He even has Kings Haki, did you know that?" Rayleigh asked amused.
"Oh great, outdone by the brat." Buggy groaned falling down on the bar desk. "Should have killed him probably back when I had the chance." he sighed deeply.
Shanks chuckled amused.
"Seriously though, are you two really serious? You honestly think that kid is going to be the one to walk in Rogers foot steps?" Buggy asked.
"He already kind of is." Shanks reminded Buggy. "Creating just as much trouble around him as Roger did."
"Eh?!" Buggy exclaimed. "You're seriously comparing that brat to Roger?!"
Rayleigh shook his head as he smiled. "Whether Luffy is the least bit like Roger or not, he is living Rogers dream." he told. "Rogers dream was to be the free, and to see other young people experience that same freedom. That's why he took the two of you in, he had such high hopes for you and wanted you to go on and create your own kind of havoc. All things considered, I think he is rather pleased with himself where ever he is."
Buggy blinked, then turned away.
Rayleigh shook his head.
"You think Roger would have liked my crew at all?" Buggy then asked in a surprisingly quiet tone.
"Are you kidding me? He would have loved it beyond all reason." Shanks smirked as he sat back. "I mean, you got lions, fire eaters, jugglers, singers and all kinds of stuff in your grew, I could just see Rogers face lightening up with excitement. And I bet your ship has the best parties, just like he would have wanted to see it!"
Rayleigh smirked as he nodded his head. "I trust you are both are having some fun out at sea?" he asked.
"Oh yes, the best kind of fun." Shanks grinned.
"Yeah, I do." Buggy then admitted. "People can say what they want, my crew is fantastic." he sighed. "Those guys." he shook his head. "To think they would all stick so close, even to a looser like me." he smirked picking up his glass, taking a svip.
"Getting sentimental Buggy?" Shanks asked.
"Just shut up and drink Shanks." Buggy murmured pouring his whiskey up in Shanks's glass. "This is good strong stuff, I feel light headed already." he admitted... And that probably explained his last few minutes of speaking, the fact that Buggy had already emptied half a bottle of whiskey all on his own in less then fifteen minutes.
"Oooh, sounds good." Shanks grinned. "A toast then." He then smirked as he held up his glass. "For Roger and all the trouble he somehow still manages to make."
"I'll drink to that." Rayleigh smirked as he pulled up an entire bottle and uncorked it, then put the thing to his lips.
"Pff, fine then." Buggy shrugged as he drank.
None of them really took notice of the time, it seemed so sudden that the light appeared outside as the sun creeped up. "Oh shesh." a pretty drunken Buggy shadowed his eyes looked at the window. "I better get back to my ship, who knows what trouble that crew of mine will get into without me looking after them."
"I better get back to." Shanks slurred… his cheeks had gotten a pretty funny red colour as well and he stumbled just a little bit.
Rayleigh was sitting in the corner leaning up against the wall snoring lightly, he had put both of them to shame drinking five times as much as the the two of them combined.
"Man, to think that old man is still kicking." Buggy mumbled as the red blush covered his cheeks.
"Aww Buggy, you really thought Rayleigh-sama would kick the bucket that easily?" Shanks asked.
"No!" Buggy exclaimed. "It's just.. I mean. It was just like Roger to go out like a bang, seems kind of wrong for Rayleigh to just… I don't know. Waste away out here in the middle of no where. Doesn't seem like Rayleigh... Doesn't seem right."
Shanks shrugged. "I'm pretty sure he's going to have his due at one point, the old man knows what he's doing, he's planning something."
"You think One Piece is involved?" Buggy asked.
"Positive." Shanks grinned.
"Huh, so you are all so sure one of those kids will find it." Buggy rolled his eyes. "You intend to be there when it happens don't you Shanks?" he asked with squinted eyes.
"Of course I do." Shanks smirked. "That's going to be the adventure of a life time! Just like Roger would have wanted. You'll be coming to right?"
Buggy snorted. "No thanks, i'll stay out of it." he stated. "I'll like to stay alive after it." he told.
"Really?" Shanks asked. "Are you sure."
"I was done being dragged into you idiocy a long time ago, you know that." Buggy snorted. "So you wanted us to be crew mates and go on our merry way at sea. No thanks." he told.
Shanks silenced as he looked at Buggy. "I were serious back then." He then told. "We could have made a crew together, I would have been happy to have you as my right hand man."
Buggy sighed deeply. "Look, Shanks." he started. "I don't regret my decision." he then told. "You cast a big shadow, and if I had gone with you I would have been stuck in it forever." he told.
"Buggy, surely you can't believe that." Shanks started but was cut off as Buggy held up a hand.
"If there is something Roger always taught us, it is that life is to precious and short for regrets. You gotta go life with all you have while you are still alive." Buggy commented. "Now, i'm not the strongest person on the sea, far from it. I'm not the smartest one or even the most ambetious one. How ever, there still is only one Buggy." he told in a smirk. "And people sure remember that name right now. I never just rolled over doing nothing." he shook his head. "Hmm… Being at the centre when all this madness peaks" he then commented thoughtfully. "Well… I suppose I was there at the beginning... Quite unwillingly I became an participant to the middle, thanks to that brat Luffy. I shouldn't be surprised if i'll be there by the end whether I like it or not." he snorted as he stood up. "I guess i'll be meeting with you there, by the end of things." he then commented waving over his shoulder as he headed for the door.
"I'll be looking forward to it Buggy." Shanks told. "Wouldn't be right to see Rogers legacy through without you being there."
Then Buggy halfly turned his head, and then grinned at Shanks. "Would be kind of fun if I get to pull your ass out of the fire, just one more time." he stated. "Make no mistakes, I still hate you, you owe me so much treasure that it hurts! And untop of that you are an arrogant pest, you piss me off Shanks." he told. "Till later." he then nodded and was gone.
Sighing Shanks shook his head and put down his glass.
"So you really did walk each your way." an older mans voice sounded.
Shanks turned his head and looked at Rayleigh whom seemed to be half awake. "I guess part of me thought you were going to stick together." he then admitted. "You were inseparable on Rogers ship. When one were in trouble the other weren't far behind. I remember the two of you falling as sleep laying up against each other on deck, because you both got so exhausted after causing so much trouble… Roger loved it, he thought it was funny."
"I remember that to." Shanks smiled lightly. "I think… Buggy is right though. Would have been wrong of me to force him to walk in my shadow. He's my brother Rayleigh, he'll always be my brother. But as such we must life each our lives." he commented and then stood up. "Well, gotta head back to my own crew as well. It was so good seeing you Rayleig- sama." he smiled lightly. "And to hear about Luffy to, that kid sure is growing fast." he smiled.
"Indeed." Rayleigh nodded. "The young are just moving so fast, it's hard for me to keep up with."
"I bet." Shanks smirked amused. "So, i'll guess i'll see you by the end as well?" he asked.
"Bet on it kid." Rayleigh snorted and Shanks smiled amused.
"I'll look forward to it." Shanks stated as he nodded and he was gone to.
As Buggy came back to his ship, he was met with the stranges welcoming comittee, his crew throwing themselves at him, crying and moping.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Buggy shouted trying to shake them all off. "What are you doing?! What's this all about?!" he asked.
"We just want you to know." Mohji sniffed. "THAT WE THINK YOU ARE THE BEST CAPTAIN EVER!" he cried.
"WRUUUU!" The big Lion wailed attacking Buggy from behind so the Clown Captain fell foward down on the ground.
"I am so lucky." Cabaji sniffed. "To sail under you. I know all those other men always say they will follow you for ever, BUT I REALLY MEAN IT!" he cried.
"To heck with Crocodile." Mr. 3 sniffed. "You are a way better Captain." he told crying wax tears.
Stunned Buggy looked around as he stood up, then smirked, then he smiled. "HAHAHAHAHA!" he laughed. "I like that! That's right! And you all know what comes next?" he asked, they all shook their heads. "The new world is where it's at now." he grinned. "WE ARE SAILING FOR ADVENTURES!" he shouted. "FORTUNE AND FAME FOR ALL OF US!" he shouted and they all shouted with him a big. "HURRAIIIII!"
Really, it's the only way Roger would have wanted it.
