He had been sitting on the warm bench for about five minutes now. With a quick goodbye to Lyn and the others he had patiently hoped for her to come. You see, Jeff wasn't really all that sure of what to do in these situations. Was he supposed to do this or do that? He didn't exactly like to mess things up, especially on the affairs of carefully handled. That was why he must always double check his newly fixed weapons before actual use.
He had fixed his clothes of the day, a simple button up white shirt with a vest over it and khaki shorts. He wanted to look semi-casual, enough to look like he cares but not too rigid. He was fighting with himself all the morning for the perfect outfit only for Phosphora to come in and pick this for him. It looked nice but he wondered why she helped him at all. Did she know what he was doing today?
In any case, he should look out for her. He had looked onto the distance. past the buildings and trees. Hopefully she comes, hopefully she didn't forget. He had no idea why he felt so excited for this, he somewhat didn't like it. For the most part, he never felt adrenaline like this unless the situation called for it. This was just a normal day.
... Okay, maybe not so normal. He had just witnessed somebody fainting on the floor. Oh no, calm down. He can do this, call some help yeah... Wait, is that electricity sparking out of him? He had approached the person and on closer inspection noticed that the person looked like someone from the Mega Man universe. It must be a robotic assist trophy! Quickly, he picked it up but as soon as he did he fell back down. Curse him for being weak! Not all people can have a radiant dawn! ... That was a bad reference.
With that he left the boy on the ground. If he couldn't fix him at home then he could just fix him there, he would need all of his tools though who knew what he was suffering from.
The boy woke up shaking his head. The sun was beating down on him but he couldn't help notice the shadow of a person hovering over him. He pointed his finger at it.
"Who are you?" he asked, there was only a slight hint of anger in his voice.
The shadow had become clear. He saw a young human with various tools at hand.
"My name is Jeff," he said.
He looked down to his body. His chest plate had been open and messed around with, he didn't like that of course.
"What do you think you're doing with my body?"
"Fixing it of course," Jeff said. "I noticed that you've been sparking rather faintly once you... fainted. I'm not nearly on the level of your creator but I do know how to fix the basics and such." He had pushed his glassed up the bridge of his nose.
He was right. He could tell some fixing had been done. Lately, he had been feeling rather strange. He felt slower, much slower, and had been experiencing pains when he had done certain things. Now, he couldn't feel that anymore, even as he sat up. This was rather impressing.
"Can you please lay down? I can't exactly get this right if you're moving..."
"Oh of course..." He had done as instructed and laid down.
He had stared up at the bright blue sky. The process of getting fixed was a rather boring one for there was not much to do. He didn't like that. He wasn't exactly in favor of mindless babble but it wouldn't be so bad right around this moment, it wasn't like he had much else to do. Oh if only if only.
"So... I fell here," he said to himself. Jeff had given him a glance then continued with his work.
"Yes. I couldn't carry you home so I had to get my tools here. Sorry about that," Jeff said.
"Why not call for assistance? Or possibly just leave me?"
Jeff stopped working for a moment. He scanned the wiring for some time then had grabbed onto one with a tweezer.
"You're working is amazing," Jeff said. "How you were created, your humanoid form can easily fool others. If that wasn't enough your programming of self learning and comprehension are astounding! I might even be in love."
Things like this were easy to talk about with Jeff. He was used to being around other budding scientists and talking to them, that was easy. When it came to robotics he was the best person to talk to out of everybody in Snow Wood Boarding School for Boys. When the Science Fair came around he always topped with creations of self moving robots. Nothing he ever made though compared to this.
"Well I'm in love with your work," he said. "I could never imagine a human so young capable of actually fixing me. I am one of the greatest creations of Dr. Light."
Jeff smiled.
"So this Dr. Light created you? How fascinating, I would love to study under him and hopefully make something as well made as you."
Make something... like him?
"You... wouldn't want to do that," he said. He recalled many things that happened, bad things.
"Oh I see..." he said simply. "Had something bad happened to you?"
He pondered this.
"You can say that," he said. "But at the time I was happy about it."
"Oh I see."
Jeff had put down the tools he had at hand. He was now finished and had closed up the boy's chest plate. With that, Jeff had put his tools away. The boy had sat up and stretched before standing up. He pointed his finger into an unoccupied direction and shot a quick thunder beam. He felt even better than before!
"Wow, this is great," he said.
"Thank you," Jeff said. He carried all his tools in one convenient bag which now laid slack on his side. "If something else happens feel free to have me fix you."
"Thanks," he said as he stretched. "I have yet to introduce myself. My name's Elec Man, nice to meet you."
He extended a hand to Jeff which he gladly accepted.
"If you need me I live in house 7," Jeff said. "I would love to explore your workings more, if you're fine with that."
"Of course, why wouldn't I be? Would it be okay if I came tonight at around six then? I would rather not stay at house 5."
"Of course, you may even spend the night. I'm sure my room mates wouldn't mind."
"I might take you up on that offer."
The two had laughed merrily as they continued to have a free flowing conversation. Unbeknownst to them, somebody had witness the entire conversation. It wasn't like she had a mind to either, she was just walking back to her dreaded home when she heard this conversation! 'I might be in love', 'explore your workings', 'stay the night'!? How absolutely ridiculous! If she ever tried to invite anybody over they would most certainly wet their pants at her home.
She didn't want to hear anymore of this. The laughing, the talking, the... fun! She didn't like that... well not exactly. This wasn't what she was used to, it never was. It looked so fun but for her... Oh whatever. She shouldn't ponder on the absurdity. She should just get them to shut up and she knew just how to.
With a wave of her magic staff (wand sounded overused plus gave the wrong impression) and her whispered chanting she had cast a magic spell upon one of the boys. She laughed a bit but running away from the scene, she couldn't get caught making mischief.
"Jeff?" Elec Man said. He looked down to see Jeff's clothes scattered on the floor with his body nowhere in sight.
He knelt down and sifted through the clothing. In it he found a banana wearing glasses. Glasses!?
"Help... me..." Jeff had said, his voice faint.
Jeff became a banana!?
...
AN: Oh Jeff, poor poor Jeff. Hopefully you liked this chapter, I know I did *wink wink* It doesn't feel so rushed to me despite writing it at two in the morning while having hiccups... God I hate these hiccups.
But yeah, where did Isabelle go you ask? You'll find out soon enough :) Hopefully I at least got Elec Man right from what I read on the wiki. Jeff and Elec Man friendship is so shippy yet not. God I need to stop making young boys love each other.
Banana Jeff and Elec Man go the distance! Isabelle's town problems need to be solved and whose this? The Prince has come to the rescue? Next time on Smash Residential, the Troublemaker Mishap!
Next time on Yume Sekaii's updates, Marth finally opens up by dungeon exploration and the mentions of a blonde and love. Dark Pit and Lucina read a story which sounds oddly strange, all while Ness cuddles with Dark Pit. Also, Ness and friends discuss Samus and her suit! See you then!
