"Hey what's that noise?"

Clary heart skipped a beat. Her skin grew paler by the minute and her breath caught within her throat. Her hold on her stele kept her quiet. The man's partner rolled his eyes at her partner.

"Crazy, fool. There's nothing here except your ears playing tricks on you again." The partner grumbled. Then they left, leaving Clary to fall on her knees in relief of not being caught.

"Well...well...a little human girl outside at this time of night."

Clary looked all around her then and found nothing.

"There's no use girl...You're so unlucky that you came out this late..." spoke the same voice with slight glee. Clary now know that this was yet another demon. How come those slayers didn't fear of being out so late? Her blood chilled and soon she swiped her stele in front of her, making the rune of protection. The voice laughed shill-fully, entertained at what this girl was doing.

"I'm no demon, you fool." The voice announced, before pausing.

"Nor human."

"Where are you!?" Clary shouted at the darkness, hoping her voice didn't alert those slavers back to where she was.

"I'm here."

"Here?" Clary repeated, she saw no one.

"Yes here girl."

"It's ashame you're out here so late. Have your parents even told you of the dangers of being late out at night?"

"Reveal yourself!" with another swipe of her stele she made a rune that should reveal any creature within hearing distance. The rune came to her in her head and she had no wonder why she even knew of it. She just done it, soon the voice hissed and then the being revealed itself. Stood just in front of Clary, was another version of herself.

The woman has long red-haired with dazzling green eyes that matched. She wore a long white gown. It was like looking at a twin.

"W-What are you?" Clary lost her courage and stepped away. The figure walked forward toward her.

"I'm you."

"No you're not!" Clary stated the obvious.

The woman laughed once more in Clary's voice.

"I'm the dark side of you. The side you don't want to see." and that was when she felt it. A part of herself being ripped from her soul. Clary dropped back down to her knees screaming in agony.

"That's right. Lay down, little one-"

"Out of the way, weakling." Growled another voice and soon Clary felt relief. No more pain. Nothing, the woman screamed before Clary heard a hissing of pain. Shaking from the near death experience of being drained, Clary looked up at her savior. The demon who saved her and was surprised of what she saw. He looked surprised as well.

"Jace?" Clary uttered.

Jace eyes widened looking at her.

"G-Grace" He muttered confused at what she was doing here.

'Grace?'

Who was this Grace?

That was when it hit her.

Another woman.

"Hey don't ignore me!" Clary looked alike screamed from the side. Soon claws were within her neck and the woman chuckled at Jace's confused face.

"I see you know this pretty thing, demon. How about I spill her beautiful blood?" Her claws dug into Clary's neck and Clary hissed.

Jace's eyes narrowed and soon without even blinking, he threw something between the woman's eyes. A knife. The woman went limp to the ground instantly just as Clary stumbled forward and soon she was enveloped within Jace's waiting arms.
