OOC: I am so tempted to make NaruSasu a thing...So. Very. Tempted.

If those words were not coming from the mouth of Uchiha Itachi, a former S-ranked criminal and ex-member of the Akatsuki-both of which required exceptional observational and intellectual agility, Kaori would have thought that it was a ridiculous suggestion. For one, the age difference between her brother and the pink-haired medic was huge. Sakura was two years younger than herself, while Kakashi was already 10 years Kaori's senior. Although…the silver-haired woman leaned her chin into an open palm, these types of ex sensei-student relationships did hold a mysterious and irresistible kick. Nevertheless, she grimaced almost immediately as a different thought occurred to her. It sounds just like those hentai books that nii-chan always reads…

Said nii-chan was, at this moment, supervising the very first team that he had been assigned with in his career as a jonin sensei. Peace brought about business as usual for most of the nations and their respective shinobi villages. For better or worse, this also meant that the younger generation was now back in their conquest for advancement among the ranks. For Team 7, it was the jonin advancement exam in particular that stood in their way.

"Hold your cool, Naruto." Kakashi remarked lazily, looking up from his book. "You won't be able to perform genjutsus properly if you're so impatient."

"I can too!" the blonde exclaimed, folding his arms over his chest as he gave an offended huff. "Why do I need this stupid stuff anyways?" He sat down on the grass in evident defiance. "Kurama and I are strong enough to take enemies out no problem-attebayo!"

His ex-sensei only smiled. "I suppose you don't need it..." Kakashi's voice drawled out languidly. "However, we've never had a Hokage who only specialized in one area of jutsu." The copy nin then gave a little shrug as he turned to his book again, knowing that he had hit a taut chord. "Although I suppose there's a first time for everything."

Naruto's expression turned from a scowl to one of utter shock as he digested the silver haired jonin's words. A wide grin then spread across his face as the blonde jumped up almost immediately, full of energy. "Alright, let's do this-attebayo!"

"Dobe…" Sasuke sighed.

"I don't see why you would be so critical." Kakashi addressed the younger Uchiha, watching in utter amusement as Sasuke twitched visibly at the sound of the older male's voice. "You weren't particularly graceful when you crashed the Five Kage summit back then now were you?"

"Tch." The younger male sharply turned his head away, deciding that the best way to get the copy nin to stop would be to mind his own business and train.

Behind him, a certain pink haired medic was working on her offense—trying her best to ignore the childhood crush that had finally returned to the village after so many years. Although she still had some lingering feelings for the Uchiha, the fascination that she had for him when she was 12 had all but disappeared now that she was 17. Sakura was tired of chasing boys. She also wanted someone more mature, someone who placed value on companionship and understood the importance of a genuine human connection. She wanted someone that she could talk to without restraint, someone who would make genuine efforts to understand her and see her for what she was worth. She wrinkled her nose as she thought of the boys in her generation of shinobi. So far, none of them fit the bill—Sasuke included.

"Sakura."

A shiver ran down the pink-haired kuniochi's spine as she felt her ex-sensei's voice close to her ear, his breath echoing alluringly against the soft flesh of her neck. She had rarely seen him close up, and her breath hitched in her throat as she slowly turned to look at the jonin who was smiling down at her. His visible eye curved into a crescent as he watched the pink-haired flounder about- struggling to find her tongue.

Sakura's heart pounded against her rib cage. She was so close to him that she could see the outlines of his sharp nose bridge and strong jawline underneath his mask. In fact, she was so close that she could feel the outline of his vest pressed against her back.

He smelled like bergamot, oak moss, and citrus, Sakura noted as she subconsciously shifted her weight against his chest. The fact that he had an arm around her waist, presumably to prevent her from toppling at the sudden sound of his voice, was definitely not helping the situation. However, she was grateful that his steady hand now bore most of the control over the weapon previously in her grip, allowing her to bask in the sensation of his cool fingers wrapped around her own. Then, as if awaking from a daze, Sakura felt a pang of terror struck her at the realization that she had actually enjoyed intimate contact with her ex-sensei.

"You have to be more careful with a fuma shuriken."

"H-hai." She stammered, trying to keep her voice even.

He positioned her hand with practiced ease, seemingly unaware of her troubles. "Try to bring your shoulder back a little more when you release."

She allowed herself to be guided by his hand, moving fluidly into position.

"Good." He carefully adjusted the tautness of her arm with a gentleness that did not seem to suit his reputation as one of Konoha's most deadly shinobi. "Now try again."

"Kakashi-sensei!" Naruto's voice boomed into earshot, causing the silver-haired jonin to sigh. He slid from her slowly, guiding his palms over the surface of her body in a languid but inconspicuous manner before turning to walk in the direction of a rapidly spinning orange ball and a smirking Uchiha Sasuke.

Sakura stayed rooted in place, surprised to find that this sudden loss of warmth upset her.

Fuck!

With a grit of her teeth, the pink-haired kuniochi tightened her gloved grip on the fuma shuriken and threw it at the training posts lined up in front of her with all the strength that she could summon. Was she so desperately in need of a man that she would even go as far as to fantasize about her own sensei?

Ex-sensei. Inner Sakura corrected her with poorly concealed sass.

Shut up. Sakura retorted, not in the mood for arguments.

He is pretty hot. Her alter ego continued. Just look at those shoulders and that ass.

Despite her best intentions, Sakura could not help but sneak a glance at his backside. The way he carried himself epitomized control and authority—although those qualities were never explicitly expressed. Nevertheless, one could not help but gravitate to Hatake Kakashi whenever he entered a room. He just had that kind of mysterious but powerful charm that drew people in even before they knew it. With a wry sigh, she turned away, refusing to believe that she had just been eyeing her ex-sensei's sculpted derriere with less than innocent intentions in mind. Thank you for your contribution, Captain Obvious. The kuniochi thought dryly.

The other only smirked in triumph. Someone's been paying a lot of attention to her team leader lately.

Am not! And I thought you said he was my ex-sensei.

Sensei, ex-sensei, team leader: what's the difference? Inner Sakura rolled her eyes with a small wolfish grin. You've still got the hots for him.

Sakura's eyes narrowed dangerously. Get lost. She scowled, folding her arms over chest. Kakashi-sensei will never think of me that way. Besides, it's just too weird, even if he is technically my team leader now.

Sure, sure. Her alter ego snickered. Whatever you say, darling. You can't fool me when we both know just who was pressing her back into his chest just now, hmm? Inner Sakura watched with triumph as a blush grew over her counterpart's cheeks, turning her cheery. And it sure as hell ain't me.

Why don't you go and find something else to hump? He was just fixing my posture in case I hurt myself or someone else. Sakura retorted, though she found a small part of herself increasingly unwilling to believe those words as soon as they left her mouth on reflex.

Don't kid yoursef. Inner Sakura snickered before vanishing from view. An elite jonin has plenty of stealth to stop that kind of accident from happening without physical contact.

All of a sudden, Sakura grew very, very red.
