Brennan was on the platform. Ever since Booth had left, she immersed herself even deeper into her work. She was barely eating and doing even less sleeping. She knew it was ridiculous. He was just a man. Everyone else had left her, this was no different.
Angela quietly came up the platform. Brennan was testy as of late. No matter how many 'girl talks' she tried, Brennan would not leave her funk.
"Sweetie listen. You need to eat. And sleep. You can't do either of those things up her. Go home. Please."
"I'm not tired and I ate an apple earlier. I'm fine." Honestly, Brennan wasn't fine. It was just whenever she went home, she could only think of how Booth had betrayed her.
"Okay. First off, one apple is not enough. It isn't even close. Second, Booth has been gone for over a month. You need to get out there. Meet Someone." Brennan just glared at her.
Angela just held up her hand. " No. If you don't go home now, Cam will force you. You know she will. You wouldn't be allowed back in for, like, two weeks. " Brennan could see that she was serious. She snapped off her gloves and threw them away.
"Okay. I'll go home, but I don't like it and I'll be back tomorrow." Angela just nodded her head and watched Brennan walk off.
-Bones-
Booth had fought tooth and nail to be transferred back to D.C. It went somewhere along the lines of the Chicago Deputy Director saying that didn't just give people these opportunities and that he should count his blessings.
He was grateful, but wasn't so sure about counting his blessings yet.
When he got back to D.C., he went straight to Bone's house. He just wanted to apologize and show her the painting. When he got there, no one answered. He decided just to wait. He set the painting next to him and waited.
-Bones-
Brennan got to her apartment a little after 2 in the afternoon. Suddenly, all she wanted to do was sleep. When she exited the elevator onto her floor, she stopped. Someone was sitting outside her door.
Booth.
As she got closer, she noticed that he was asleep and that there was a painting with him. It was turned around, so she couldn't see what it was.
"I had I made for you." A drowsy Booth was looking up at her. He rubbed his eyes and stood up so she could unlock her door.
Brennan was to shocked to say anything. She just opened her door, and walked in. Booth picked up the painting and followed her.
Once Brennan finally was knocked out of her shock, she turned and looked at Booth.
