Chapter 17: Hesitation

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

A loud scream woke up the entire house and all of the ninja went on high alert. That is until one of them realized that the scream had come from Inari's room. The realization made Naruko smirk and slow her pace as the others raced for the boy's bedroom. Kurenai arrived first and threw the door open. What she saw shocked her. Inari was covered head to toe in a plethora of bugs of all shapes and sizes. He was frantically trying to pull them off of him but his panic was keeping him from doing a proper job of it. Tsunami made it to the door and pushed past Kurenai so that she could help her son.

"Inari? How did this happen?" The woman asked.

The boy was still trying to pull the bugs off of him when he looked up at the door and saw Naruko standing there with a devilish smirk on her face. He threw his arm up and pointed at her.

"She did it! She was the one who put these bugs in my bed!"

Tsunami looked at Naruko curiously. She had no idea if it was true or not.

"Inari, what makes you say that?"

The loud boy continued to wipe the bugs off of his clothing as he stared angrily at the red head.

"Because I put bugs in her mat last night! I bet she wanted rev…" Inari trailed off as he realized what he had just said. He had just confessed to pulling a prank on the red head in front of his mother. He was so dead. Tsunami frowned at her son before she picked him up and threw him over her shoulder.

Tsunami turned to face the group gathered at the door and lowered her head when she made eye contact with Naruko. "I'm sorry about my son's behavior."

Naruko was about to reply but Kurenai cut her off. "It's quite alright. I also apologize for my student's behavior. The retaliation was uncalled for."

Tsunami smiled and nodded her head in thanks before she left the room and headed for the bathroom. The team could hear the door shut and the water start to run.

Kurenai turned and set her sights on her red headed student. "Was that really necessary?"

Naruko got a hard look on her face as she nodded. "It was. He put itching powder in my mat the other night and then last night I thought ahead and found all those bugs inside. If you ask me he deserved it."

Kurenai could not really argue that. The boy had provoked a ninja, twice. She knew of people who had killed for less. "Maybe he did, but he's just a child. You should have been the bigger person in this situation and just ignored him."

Naruko just let out a breath and nodded.

Kurenai smiled. "Good. As punishment you can go into town to assist Hinata with the shopping this morning, but you are not allowed to kiss her, hug her, or touch her in any way for the rest of the day." Naruko's eyes went wide. That was torture! Kurenai turned to Hinata. "I'm sorry that this affects you as well Hinata but Naruko needs to learn a lesson."

The blue haired teen nodded. "I understand. Come on Naruko."

The Hyuga heir grabbed the sleeve of her girlfriend's jacket and pulled her along behind her. The red head performed her transformation as they were going down the steps.

-Village Market Place-

"So Naruko, how did your day go yesterday?" Hinata asked as she strolled down the street.

The red head chuckled as she realized she had completely forgotten to tell Hinata the good news. "It was great. And you'll never guess what happened."

Hinata smiled playfully as she hummed. "You learned a new technique."

Naruko was about to say no when she realized that what Hinata said was true. "Well I'm working on a new one, but that's not what made the day so great."

Hinata nodded as she thought of another possibility. "You found a place that serves better ramen the Ichiraku's."

Naruko gasped at the very thought. "That's blasphemy Hinata. Blasphemy!"

The Hyuga had to laugh at the reaction that she had provoked. "I know. I'm only teasing. So what happened?"

Naruko smiled broadly as she took her girlfriend's hand. "I met another Uzumaki yesterday."

Hinata's mouth dropped open and she stopped walking. "Really?"

Naruko nodded. "Yeah. I was as surprised as you are. He came out of nowhere."

Hinata looked questioningly at her girlfriend. "I'm happy for you Naru, but is he really an Uzumaki? He could be lying."

Naruko squeezed the Hyuga's hand in reassurance. "No worries Princess. Dad performed some kind of test. He's the real deal."

Hinata beamed as her suspicions were laid to rest and captured her love in a tight hug. "That's so great Naru! What's his name? Where is he from? What's he like?"

Naruko chuckled as she was bombarded with questions. She calmed Hinata down and told her about Arashi. Once they reached the market their conversation had shifted to training and other such daily things. The day went on and they were only half way through the list by noon. It was not for lack of trying but because there was hardly any food to buy. Each store only had a few items and those that they did have were not of the best quality. The two girls were surprised but it slowly dawned on them that this was the result of Gato's influence on the Land of Waves. The people in the streets were worse. They were smoking opium or doing other drugs instead of working, or eating apparently. Most of them were nothing but skin and bones. It dawned on Naruko that most of them were probably spending their money on drugs instead of food. The realization made Naruko grit her teeth.

"This isn't right." The red head said.

Hinata did not have to ask what Naruko meant. She had been having similar thoughts and readily agreed with her girlfriend. The Land of Waves was dying and they both silently agreed that Gato had to be stopped.

They had given up trying to find what they were missing so they decided to head back to Tazuna's home.

"Help."

The voice was small but the sound that followed was much louder. It was the moist thud of flesh hitting stone. Naruko's ears twitched. Her fox ears may be gone but her hearing was still impeccable. She honed in on where the voice had come from and found an alleyway that was cast in the shadow of the buildings on either side of it. Hinata was close behind her and followed her into the alley. They moved past some boxes and froze at the sight before them. A man was holding a woman against the wall. There was blood on the woman's head and she appeared to be unconscious. The last thing Naruko noticed was that the man's pants were around his ankles and the woman's kimono was torn bellow her waist. With a feral snarl Naruko launched herself at the man and pushed him off of the woman. Hinata managed to catch the woman before she hit the ground. With a sigh of relief Hinata turned and looked down the alley.

Naruko had the man backed against the alley wall. The look in her eyes was bestial as she saw the man pull a knife from a strap on his bicep. The appearance of the weapon did not even phase the red head as she stalked her way towards the man. He lounged at her the best he could with his pants still around his ankles. With little success he stumbled forward. Naruko caught the man's wrist before he could even touch her and tore the knife form his hand. Without any hesitation the red head turned the blade on the man and pierced his heart. Hinata gasped as she saw the man slump to the ground with the knife protruding from his chest and a red river flowed down his chest. As Naruko turned Hinata saw that her girlfriend's eyes were cold and showed no remorse, the eyes of an animal that had successfully put down a threat. Naruko finally seemed to realize that Hinata was staring at her. Some guilt appeared in her eyes but not for killing the man. The only guilt she had was that Hinata had seen it. She knew that her Princess had never had to kill anyone before so she had probably never seen someone be killed either. Naruko knew from experience that the first time could be rough. The red head let out a sigh as she walked up to her girlfriend while taking off her jacket. Naruko bent over and placed her jacket over the woman before picking her up into her arms.

"We need to get her looked at." As Naruko turned to head out of the alley Hinata finally came to her senses.

"Why?" Hinata asked in a whisper.

Naruko stopped and turned towards her Princess.

"Why would you do that?" Hinata elaborated.

Naruko looked directly into Hinata's eyes. The red head hoped that just maybe Hinata would understand her answer. "Because he deserved it."

Hinata was taken aback by the blunt response and the cold detached voice that delivered it. But she could not say anything in response. Deep down Hinata agreed with her. With a nod she stood and followed Naruko out of the alleyway.

They had found some people that knew the woman and took her to her family. After the woman was taken care of they sought out some form of law enforcement to report the attack to as well as the dead man. When they had asked around people just laughed at them. So they did what ninja normally do in that situation, they destroyed the body. Well Naruko did anyway. She had sent Hinata back with the food so Tsunami would have it in time to make dinner. Once she was finished with her work Naruko went back to the house.

-Tazuna's Home-

Naruko arrived shortly before dinner and sat down at the table. Throughout the night Hinata did not say one word to her. The lack of communication between the girls did not go unnoticed by their teammates but neither Shino nor Kurenai could think of anything to say to the girls. That night Shino had first shift followed by Hinata. Part way into her shift Hinata saw Naruko walk down the stairs. The red head looked sullen as she sat down on the other end of the couch. After a few minutes the girls locked eyes and Naruko let out a sigh.

"Talk to me Hinata. Please? I want to know what's going through your head."

Hinata brought her knees up so that they rested under her chin and wrapped her arms around her legs. After a long pause she spoke.

"I understand why you killed him. At least I think I do. He was going to rape her and if you didn't stop him he probably would have just done it again." There was another pause before Hinata lifted her head up and looked at her girlfriend. "What's bothering me is how easy it was for you to do it. Your eyes were so detached, almost like you had done it before." Hinata stopped when she heard a mirthless laugh come from Naruko.

"That's because I have done it before Hinata. This wasn't the first time that I've killed someone." Hinata's eyes were wide with shock. A dark chuckle came from the red head at the sight. "We're ninja Hinata. Is it really that surprising?"

As Hinata thought about it she realized that it was not that surprising at all. She had heard of the graduation rituals of other villages, ones that involved killing of torturing people. Naruko may have taken the graduation test at Konoha but she never actually studied there. Hinata had no idea what kind of training her fox girl had to go through. With a sigh she shook her head.

"No, I guess it's not. I just didn't know. It never occurred to me what kind of training you might have had to go through."

Naruko's gaze found a place on the floor. "It wasn't training. I killed someone because I wanted to."

Hinata gasped. There was no way that the Naruko she knew would do something like that. She was far too nice of a person to ever want to kill another. The Hyuga heir shook her head. "I don't believe you."

Naruko reached out and placed a hand on her girlfriend's shoulder. Hinata flinched at the contact and Naruko went to remove her hand but Hinata stopped her. Slowly she linked their fingers together.

"Tell me." Hinata said pointedly.

"Tell you what?" Naruko asked.

Hinata turned her head and locked eyes with her oldest friend. "Tell me why you wanted to kill someone."

Naruko nodded. She knew that was what Hinata was talking about. She had just hoped that she would be wrong. Squeezing Hinata's hand the red head leaned back against the couch.

"I was seven. Jiraiya had told me to survive a month alone in the woods. He gave me one kunai and told me that I couldn't use chakra. He said that sensor type ninja could track me by it and that he would know if I used chakra. It wasn't that hard really. I found a stream after only a few hours and I set up a shelter under a fallen log nearby. I relied a lot on my instincts, which I think was the real point of the training. About a week into the training I found a man washed up on the side of the stream. He was unconscious and bleeding from a lot of wounds." Naruko paused as a slight scowl appeared on her face. "I should have just left him there to die, but instead I pulled him out and brought him to my shelter. It took him a few days to wake up and when he did he freaked out. It took me forever to calm him down. A few days later he was up and moving again so I told him that he could spend one more night and then he had to leave. He said he was fine with that. He had to get back anyway. I never asked where he had to get back to. That night we shared a meal and he finally showed his true colors. I woke up to his hand over my mouth and a knife at my throat. I froze." A small growl escaped Naruko's lips. "He told me not to fight it, that I would enjoy it. He moved the knife from my throat down to my pants. He cut my belt off before I even realized what was happening. Fucker never saw what hit him. I grabbed the knife with one of my tails and bit his hand. He screamed and tried to hit me, but I fought him off. He was bloody and cowering in a corner before I let up. He was begging me not to kill him. He was even crying. So I let him go." Naruko let out a sigh and stared up at the ceiling.

Hinata took the pause as the end of the story and gave her girlfriend's hand a squeeze. "You did the right thing Naruko."

The red head just shook her head.

"I really didn't." Naruko sighed again before she continued. "I didn't even wait till morning before I packed my stuff and started to look for a new shelter. I got lucky and found a small cave downstream. It was more of a crack in the rock but it was big enough for me to squeeze inside. I only cared about protecting myself at that point. A few days later I came across a small caravan. A young girl had been found raped and killed and another one was missing. I knew who it was. There was no doubt in my mind that the man that tried to attack me was the one. I took me less than a day to track him down. When I found him he was having his way with the other girl. The next thing I know I'm ripping his throat out with my teeth. The girl was alive but she was in shock and unresponsive. I took her to the caravan and then went back and burned the body."

Hinata heard the shuddering breath and saw the sadness and rage in Naruko's eyes.

"They were twins, only eight years old. They didn't deserve that. If I had only killed the bastard when I had the chance they wouldn't have suffered. I blamed myself for so long after that. If Dad hadn't help me through it all I probably would have gone crazy from the guilt. He helped me realize that it wasn't my fault, but I couldn't just forget about it. I had to learn from it. He told me that what I was feeling was the coast of hesitation. He told me that if I hesitated people could die." Naruko paused and looked Hinata in the eyes. "That you could die."

Hinata saw the resolve in Naruko's eyes as she said this.

The red head squeezed her hand tighter. "I could never live with myself if I ever let anything happen to you."

With a surge of strength Hinata pulled her girlfriend into her lap and held her tight. The embrace caught Naruko off guard but she recovered quickly and latched on to her princess. There were tears in Hinata's eyes as she silently cried for the two girls from Naruko's past. She understood now. She understood how and why. Naruko had not killed out of rage or malice. No, it was to protect. For Naruko that is what I meant to be a ninja. After the long embrace ended they realized that it was already Naruko's turn for watch. The red head tried to get Hinata to go off to bed, but she refused and instead just curled up next to her fox girl and fell asleep. An hour later Kurenai came down for her shift and smiled pleasantly at the sight of the two girls curled up together on the couch.

Naruko gave her a wave. "Hey sensei."

Kurenai sat down in a chair across form the two genin.

"Good morning Naruko. I'm glad to see that you two made up. What happened anyway?"

Naruko let out a sigh before she gave a brief rundown of the yesterday's events and the conversation that she and Hinata had had.

Kurenai nodded in understanding. "I remember reading about that in the reports from Jiraiya. I glad Hinata took it so well."

Naruko nodded as she pulled her girlfriend closer to her.

"Yeah. She has always been willing to listen. That's one of the reasons that I love her."

Kurenai nodded her head. "I know what you mean."

Naruko got a mischievous grin on her face.

"Are you talking about Anko?" The red head asked.

Kurenai blushed but did not reply. Instead she just seemed to ignore the question all together, which told Naruko more than if she had said anything.

"You really should just ask her out." Naruko said with a large grin on her face.

Kurenai's eye twitched slightly. "Just shut up Naruko."

The red head laughed as she picked Hinata up into her arms. She carried her princess upstairs to their room.

-The Bridge-

Kurenai had enjoyed a quiet breakfast before she accompanied Tazuna to the bridge. She had quickly learned that the man does not like to be shadowed closely so she took to keeping him within eye shot and let him have his space. She did not expect an attack yet because Zabuza would still be incapacitated. The Demon Brothers were no threat to her and she thought she could take the Hunter ninja as well. She would only really have a problem is they came at her in force. But that hinged on Zabuza so she had time.

Or maybe not.

She felt a presence appear behind and before she could react there was a kunai at her throat. She tensed immediately but she relaxed when the familiar scent of dango and sake entered her nose. The kunai pressed against her neck just enough to draw blood and was then quickly pulled away. Kurenai could not help but smile went she felt someone lick up the blood.

"I take it you're my back up." The genjutsu user turned to see Anko licking the last drops of blood off of her kunai.

The brown eyed woman smiled as she licked her lips. "I guess so. I kind of just ran here after I heard you were in trouble. I didn't even think to pack anything. But don't worry. I'm sure Obito can sort it out."

Kurenai frowned as she rolled her eyes. "Why am I not surprised?"

Anko chuckled as she walked forward and put an arm around Kurenai's shoulders. "Because I'm your oldest friend and this isn't the first time I've had to run my ass off to come save you."

Kurenai raised an eyebrow as she continued to frown. "Really? Because I'm pretty sure it was me who always had to bale your sorry ass out of trouble."

Anko just chuckled.

"I think you mean my sexy ass." Kurenai shook her head as Anko pressed herself closer to the taller woman. "So is there anything I can help you with?" Anko could not help herself when she winked at Kurenai and let out a soft purr. The blush that appeared on Kurenai's face was worth it.

The genjutsu user let out a sigh. "Anko, that was bad even for you." Her old friend showed how childish she was by sticking her tongue out at the black haired woman. "I've got this covered here so I want you to go find my team and help them with their training. I was thinking of instructing them in water walking. We are dealing with Kiri ninja so that could help them in a fight."

Anko nodded. "I could also show them how to grab onto the water with their hands. Let's you swim a hell of a lot faster."

Kurenai smiled, she had not thought of that. It could be useful. "Sounds good. They should be out in the woods near we are staying. Think you can find it?"

Anko smirked. "Please. I already did. I stopped by the house to check it out before heading here. I'll find the kids no problem." With a smile on her face she disappeared in a puff of smoke.

-Woods by Tazuna's Home-

Naruko and Shino were positioned on either side of Hinata ready to attack, Shino in front of her and Naruko behind. That day they had decided to do some two on one training so they could get used to dealing with that kind of situation. With a flick of one of Naruko's tails the two teens launched themselves at Hinata. The blue haired teen had her Byakugan activated already and saw the attack coming from both directions. Hinata instantly turned in place and charged to meet Naruko head on. The red head was not expecting the attack and just barely deflected a palm strike that was directed at her head. Naruko used her momentum to turn and catch Hinata's hands with her tails. The Hyuga fell backwards pulling Naruko straight into Shino's insects. With insects in her face Naruko's grip on Hinata loosened allowing the girl to get away from her girlfriend. Shino was prepared though and was ready to intercept her, bringing his Earth Fists to bear. Hinata backed off and unleashed a Water Dragon Bullet that Shino easily dodged. The Hyuga broke away and made a run for the tree line. She was almost there, but something got in her way and she ended up flat on her back. She blinked a few times before she noticed Anko standing over her.

The snake user smiled down at her. "Hey there Hinata. Am I interrupting?"

Hinata sat up and then accepted the hand that was extended by Anko to help her up. "Um, you kind of are actually. I almost got away." The blue haired teen looked down at the ground and let out a sigh. She had almost won.

The other two genin walked up to them. Naruko gave Anko a small wave.

"Hey Anko. What are you doing here?" The red head asked.

Anko smiled as before she pointed her thumb at herself. "I'm the backup you guys requested."

The red head nodded. "I figured that. I mean why are you here in the woods? I thought you would either be at the house or with Kurenai."

The woman smiled as she shifted her stance. "I went to the house first but since none of you guys were there I went and found Kurenai. She told me to come out here and train you guys."

When the genin heard the last part they all swore that Anko looked like the devil for a moment. Their worst fears were coming to life. Training with Anko would be worse than hell. Anko just laughed at the looks she was receiving.

"Relax I'm only going to teach you water walking and some other techniques that could help you against Kiri ninja." The team let out a collective sigh of relief. "Now we need to relocate in order to do this training. I'm pretty sure that there's a river about half a mile north. We'll go there. Oh, and last one there gets to feed my pets tonight. And none of that tie bullshit like you pulled with Kurenai. I'll just make you all do it then." The three teens immediately took off in the direction of the river leaving Anko chuckling behind them.

"So how are things going with Kurenai?" Asked someone from behind Anko.

The snake user was not even surprised when she turned and saw Naruko standing behind her. "Another clone huh?" The red head nodded. "You're not going to let up are you?"

The clone smiled as it shook its head. Anko let out a sigh as she resigned herself to her fate. It seemed that the red head would keep this behavior up if she did not get so answers. "What do you want to know?"

The cloned beamed up at her. "Do you love her?"

Anko blushed but nodded.

"Then why don't you ask her out?" The red headed clone asked.

The snake user let out a long breath. "She's been dating Asuma for almost a year now and I don't want to get in the way. Even if we did go out I can't risk losing her by screwing up somehow. It would kill me."

Naruko looked at Anko sadly. The woman had no idea how unfounded her fears were. "But if you just sit back and let her marry Asuma or some other guy won't you lose her anyway?"

Anko grit her teeth. She did not want to admit it but the red head was right. Naruko saw the tension in Anko's rigid stance.

"Nothing will happen unless you make it happen." At that moment the clone disappeared and Anko was left alone with her thoughts.

She did not have long though because she still had to go train those annoying brats. With a burst of speed she quickly made it to the river. After a brief demonstration the genin got to work and were silently glad that Anko had forgotten about the race to the river.

-Tazuna's Home-

After a day of falling into the river multiple times the genin were glad to be back at the house where they could clean up and dry off. Hinata reached the door first and opened it only for a pile of garbage to fall on her head. The blue haired teen was assaulted by rancid smells and disturbing textures that ran down her hair and face. Her teammates and Anko froze as the saw the girl fidget in place before she ran inside and upstairs to the bathroom. The three Konoha ninja paled a bit when the heard the gagging coming from upstairs. As they made their way into the house Naruko notice the small bag that the trash must have been in and where it had been placed above the door. The red head turned and saw what only could be Inari disappear into the kitchen. Naruko put two and two together.

"Inari get the hell back here!" The red head took off after the boy but stopped when she almost ran into Tazuna. Naruko gave the taller man her best scowl. "Get out of my way. I don't care if he pranks me, but no one messes with my girlfriend."

Tazuna let out a sigh before he sat down at the table. "I'm sorry about Inari, but he has his reasons."

Naruko looked at the man skeptically. "Really?"

Tazuna gestured for the teen to sit and she did so as Shino and Anko entered the kitchen as well.

"Inari's father died when he was very young, but he did not grow up without a father. His name was Kaiza and he was a hero to the people here. Inari loved him just like family. But one day Kaiza stood up to Gato and the bastard had him killed. Inari hates Gato and all half-breeds like him. I think he's just taking out his anger on you."

Naruko rolled her eyes. "That's hardly a reason. An Uchiha killed both my parents and I'm best friends with one. Besides you can't just blame all half demons for the actions of one. Demons and half demons are just like people, there are good ones and bad ones. To hate all of us is just stupid."

Shino and Anko nodded at the girl's words. They agreed that it was stupid. Tazuna rubbed the bridge of his nose as he let out a sigh.

"I realize that now. And I'm sorry for the way that I've been acting. Traveling with you and seeing you around my home has shown me that not all half breeds are evil like Gato. I apologize for my behavior." The old man bowed his head to Naruko.

The red head was surprised at the apology and was even more surprised that the man seemed sincere. "It's alright. I'm used to the hostility so it's not that big of a deal, but thank you for apologizing."

Tazuna nodded as he got up from the table. "I'll speak to Inari and see if I can convince him to apologize or at the very least stop with the pranks."

Naruko nodded her thanks as the man went into the backyard to search for his grandson. With the discussion over Anko headed for the couch and Shino went about cleaning up the trash still in the doorway. Naruko made her way upstairs where she ran into Kurenai.

"Hey sensei. How did guard duty go?"

The woman smiled down at her student. "It went well. I was a bit surprised when Anko showed up, but that wasn't unwelcomed."

Naruko nodded. "Speaking of Anko, what are we going to do for sleeping arrangements now that sh…"

The red head trailed off as she saw Hinata walk out of the bathroom in only a towel with her clothes held at arm's length. The Hyuga teen glanced over and caught Naruko staring which caused her to blush. But Hinata gathered her courage and shot a smile and a wink at her girlfriend. Naruko's eyes widened even more at the action as she bit her bottom lip. Hinata headed back into the room she shared with Kurenai and the red head with a pleased grin on her face. The entire exchange did not go unnoticed by the black haired woman.

Kurenai could only shack her head good naturedly. "Well I was going to have you and Hinata take a different room and I would bunk with Anko, but now I'm thinking that might not be a good idea. I might just have to let Anko bunk with one of you girls."

Naruko instantly snapped out of her fantasy that involved Hinata and soap bubbles. The fox girl shook her head back and forth rapidly. "No! You can't do that! I know I wouldn't feel safe sleeping in the same room as Anko. You remember when we first met. She practically assaulted me. I'm surprised you feel safe sleeping in the same room."

Kurenai laughed lightly at the memory Naruko brought up. "She just wanted to pet you. It wasn't that bad."

The red head gave the woman an accusing look.

"Okay maybe it was. And I do feel safe with Anko. This isn't the first time that we've slept together." As the words left her mouth she frowned realizing what it was that she had said.

Glancing at Naruko she saw the devilish smirk the red head had on her face as well as her eyebrows rising up and down. Kurenai let out a sigh as she shook her head. She flicked Naruko's forehead to get the girl to stop.

"That's not what I meant and you know it." Kurenai stated.

The fox girl rubbed her head before she grinned up at her sensei. "If you say so."

Kurenai let out a sigh before she walked past the teen. "Go get Hinata and move your stuff into a different room."

Naruko threw her hands up into the air and let out a little cheer. She rushed into her room and told Hinata that they were moving to a different room. Her girlfriend was more than happy to comply. They placed their belongings in a new room and arranged their mats next to each other so they could be close when they slept. Hinata was glad that her day was ending on a good note after having garbage dumped on her head.

Back in the hallway Kurenai smiled to herself before she turned to head to her room only to stop when arms wrapped around her waist. The black haired woman relaxed into the embrace as Anko place her chin on Kurenai's shoulder.

"Guess it's just the two of us." Anko said softly.

Kurenai nodded as Anko moved out from behind her. The snake user then took Kurenai's hand and led her into their room.

A/N: I feel like my writing is off in this chapter. I couldn't get a flow going. But hell at least it's something. Let me know what you think.

On a side note I'm debating giving Arashi (my one armed samurai OC) a chakra type to add to his Samurai Saber techniques or just leave him as a straight up samurai. Thoughts?

Next time: Boy or girl? And Anko gets drunk!
