Chapter 27

Need or Needing, Humans – you and me – have to need things all the time, it's like we can never be satisfied with what we have but sometimes it's not a bad thing. It depends on what you need and the situation. I can't count the countless time I've needed a new phone because the one that I – by I, I mean my parents, please I don't have that money – bought a year ago is now out of date and people at school got the new Samsung yesterday and it wasn't their birthday, talk about unfair but I don't really need the new Samsung my old one works just fine not to mentions it's cute.

However I'm human and I just feel the need to want what's new and better and don't lie you've all wanted something like that at one point. Then there's the needing something's special like let's say a special someone because everyone around you has one and your tired of feeling the love from just your parents and friends, no you want the romance that you've heard so much about, you want it to the point where you need it so much just to feel happy because you feel depressed and that's not a bad thing.

Last time on; Was it Fate or Destiny?:

Lucy just looked at her but decided to follow her instruction, not wanting to get held at gun point for not listening.

"Why am I even doing this?" Lucy asked

"You ask way too many questions. Do yourself a favour; when you do see Sting don't ask too many questions ok, in fact don't ask any questions." Meredy advised her

Lucy nodded as she walk out of the living and towards the outside doors., ready to apologize to Sting and hopefully not make a fool out of herself more than she already did.

Lucy walked down the street somewhat scared that she had to meet Sting in a graveyard. She took her steps slow and steady contemplating what to say once she reached him. How was she going to understand why his in the graveyard if she was advised not to ask questions? If Meredy didn't seem to know what she was talking about and didn't throw her a gun she wouldn't have listened to one word but needless to say now Lucy was a tad bit scared of the pink head, all jealous evaporated.

Couldn't Sting pick like a less scary place to go to think. Why a graveyard? Why is he out of the house anyway? Why couldn't someone else just go get him? Why is there a freaking gun strap to my thigh? Why does Meredy have to protect Loke? Why does Loke need protection? Wait those are almost the same questions. I need to calm down a little before I start freaking out. All this was waving around Lucy's mind as she made it to the front of the graveyard Deep breaths, just a place filled with like a thousand dead bodies, nothing to be scared about.

Lucy swallowed nothing and she breathed in and out willing herself to calm down before entering the not that scary looking graveyard. She took her steps slow and steady, looking to catch a piece of blonde hair that she knew would calm down her racing nerves. She walked for about 10 more minutes before she saw Sting, sitting in front of a grave crossed legged with his face looking at it, emotionless. She breathed a sigh of relief before she fast paced over.

"Hey." Lucy said not knowing what to say when she saw what was written on the grave.

Sting didn't bother looking up to see who it was, he knew it was Lucy by the sound of her voice but he wasn't in the mode to talk to anyone right about now. Lucy stood next to him for a few more seconds before going on the ground next to him and hugging him because she felt like that was all she could do.

So they sat there in their cute little embrace in the graveyard, all of Lucy's worry seemed stupid and pointless compared to what was in front of her now. Sting was grateful and with that she wasn't talking, that she seemed to for once get the issue and keep shut. However he didn't understand how she could have known.

"Why are you here?" Sting asked after a few minutes

"Meredy told me to come after you," Lucy said "she said I have to."

"Are Loke and Aries ok?" Sting asked

"They seem to be sorting it out." Lucy answered studying the grave

"What about Meredy?" Sting asked

"She can handle herself, trust me." Lucy replied remembered the gun

"What did she do?" Sting asked

"She threw me a gun," Lucy screamed quietly in a way and Sting turned to face her "You heard me right. That chick is crazy. At first she's all like; go talk to Sting and stuff and I'm like ok sure and the minute I stand up bam she throws me the gun."

Sting didn't want to laugh at all but with Lucy's amused expression and the way she was saying the words just brought a smile to his face. Lucy smiled back and let out a little laugh that soon became a big one and Sting settled for a small chuckle. After a while Lucy stopped laugh and composed herself.

"Sorry, I shouldn't be laughing at a time like this." Lucy said moving to sit next to him

"Its fine," Sting said "I laughed too."

"It wasn't that funny." Lucy said

"Your face was what made me laugh."

"I can't decide to feel offended or pleased."

"Why would you be pleased?"

"I love see you smile and laugh Sting."

"It's not like I don't do it every day."

"Lately you haven't been doing much of it."

"I have my reasons."

Lucy sighed knowing that she shouldn't go on and just leave it at that but she couldn't she was too curious and frankly tired of this whole act that he had. She liked it when he was happy and smiling and talking to her like this.

"You know you lied to me," Lucy said "You said your mum died when you were twelve but you were 8 in 2006."

"That's a minor detail."

"No it's a huge detail, Sting I can tell that you feel like she died yesterday. Heck I can tell that after 8 years you're still not over her death."

"Is that so bad? Is it that bad to not be over your mum's death?"

"No it's not trust me, my mum died too. I'm not that over it really, it's still with me but I don't want to remember it unless it's necessary because it just brings me sorrow."

"I need to remember me mum."

"Why's that?"

Sting didn't want to get into it but he found himself wanting to tell her. He found himself wanting to tell her everything. Lucy was looking at him searching his face. Sting turned to face her looking her straight in the eye. He didn't know why it felt right but he knew there was no stopping now.

"I was eight and I don't have much memory of her. I can barely remember if her eyes were like mine or what she sounds like. I need this so I don't lose her forever."

"You won't lose her forever because she's never leaving your memory. She's staying with you right here."

As Lucy said that she placed her hand on his chest next to his heart that she now feel beating softly but then started to pick up but she couldn't tell if it was just her imagination because her heart was speeding up as well.

"She'll always be in your heart no matter what. If you love someone they never leave you, they stay with you in your memory forever." Lucy went on

"I'm scared she'll leave."

"She wouldn't dare do that because I'm sure that she loves you Sting and she'll love you forever. I beat right now she's looking down at you telling you to stop the tears."

Lucy brought her other hand to whip the tears falling from his eyes as he began to cry a little. He hadn't noticed it at all until now that he was crying and that brought a blush to his checks of embarrassment that Lucy was doing what she was doing.

"It's going to be ok. I'm here with you now." Lucy said pulling him into a hug

"That scares me too."

"Why would that scare you?" Lucy asked pulling away

Sting looked to the ground not quite sure why he said that but he couldn't bring himself to look at her. Lucy tried to bend her head in a way so she could see his eyes but he was avoiding her.

"Sting, why does that scare you?" She asked again

"Simple, this whole time we've been together I've told you more in the short time ever. Every time I'm feeling low like I always do this time of year for the first time ever it hasn't felt that bad. It hasn't felt that bad because of you. You show up at times like this and start talk about how it's going to be ok and you'll be there. This scares me because I feel like I need you just to keep me going."

Lucy tried to push the tears away but she couldn't help it, so she let them fall. Sting looked up at her and smiled knowing that she would end crying with him as well at the end of all of this.

"Why do you always cry like this?" Sting asked removing her tears while she looked at him with what he thought was love but shock it off as sadness

"I'm an emotional person." Lucy said back turning away

"I know that much." Sting chuckled hands on her chin bringing her to face him

"Don't tease me." Lucy said crying a little more

"How am I teasing you?" Sting asked unconsciously moving forward, hand still on her chin

"You know how I feel." Lucy reminded him

"Yeah, I don't see how I'm teasing you." Sting whispered still moving forward

"This has a kiss written all over it. Its' not like you want to. You're just in the moment." Lucy said quietly that Sting couldn't hear the first or last second

"I don't want to. I for some reason just need too." Sting said and he closed the gap between them connecting his lips with hers

Sting closed his eye shocked by his actions but they felt right to him. Lucy kissed but of course, her eyes closed loving that they were having a nice sweet kiss. She decided to just enjoy the moment severing it.

Sometimes the need for something clouds our judgement and controls our actions but sometimes needing isn't that bad as long as it doesn't only make you happy.

I know this is short but I felt like I couldn't continue after the kiss and the talking because that would destroy the chapter completely, it's a choice that was hard to make but I hope you all agree that this is for the best. It's short and simple and the end is just lovely in my point of view.
