I am sorry for not updating sooner. School got complicated.

Warning- this chapter has little to no humor within it because Natsu is beginning to change in many different ways. Also if you are confused about the different details added, this chapter is a set up to the upcoming chapters where Dragoneel shows back up, along with Igneel and the dragon hunter.

The guild was in an uproar over the news. Lucy looked around the guild hoping to find one sane person but to no such luck. She only saw utter chaos. Members were yelling at Makarov and Natsu was jumping with joy. She watched as he jumped up to the balcony to welcome the new members to the guild. He held a full blown smile that made her heart flutter in her chest. She quickly turned her head away to head toward the bar to get something to drink. Her throat felt dry all of a sudden and quickly realized why. Acnologia was getting extremely irritated with all the shouting a yelling that his body was being covered in black flames.

"Will all of you be quiet?!" he shouted at the top of his lungs

The guild was quickly silenced as his voice still echoed. Lucy observed as Natsu tumbled off the balcony onto the ground holding his ears. For a second, Lucy was confused but then she remembered his overly sensitive hearing and felt sorrow for him. Natsu's body was in a ball as he tried to keep his ears from bleeding. She walked over to him and gently placed her hand on his shoulder in comfort. She was soon joined by Wendy, whose ears also hurt, trying to heal his ears. It was obvious that all the dragon slayers ears were hurting but Natsu caught the brunt of the blow. Wendy only managed to ease the pain but not completely heal his ears. Gajeel was leaning against the wall trying to remain calm and cool but his closed tight eyes showed he too was in pain. Lucy kept her hand on Natsu as she soon head the master speak.

"Now that most of you brats have quieted down." He glances over to the dragon slayers who were growling in pain. "These two dragons will be part of our guild and..."

"How will we know we can trust them especially Acnologia?" asked a curious Romeo. Romeo felt all eyes on him and blushed with embarrassment. It was not like he had anything against the dragons it's just the fact that they are dragons and are known for being hot tempered and impossible to control. Lucy saw Moonlight give a small smile and answered.

"You don't. " Her reply was cold and full of mischief

The entire guild felt their blood run cold except for the dragon slayers and Makarov. Makarov only gave a sad smile in understanding and cleared his throat. The guild turned their gaze toward him.

"I agree with Moonlight, we do not know if we can trust them to keep the peace nor can we trust them to not ta…" he was cut off by a fire ball heading his way as both Moonlight and Acnologia glared at him to remain quiet.

He gulped and nodded in understanding but the looks he got from the dragon slayers held two with questions and one with understanding. The one with understanding knew his time with the guild was running short as he overheard the conversation involving Moonlight and her brother along with their need to relocate when the time is right. He only hoped he could let his team know beforehand.

Lucy took notice of Natsu's tense shoulders and began to rub his head to calm him down but he only got up and left the guild.

"Hey flame brain! Where are you going?" yelled Gray

"Out." Came his simple reply

Moonlight watched in concern for Natsu she had a feeling he overheard the entire conversation and needed time to think about the ever changing fate surrounding him and his twin. She hoped he would find the answers with this twin but she felt the need to explain many things to him and that included his sealed memory. The problem was what his reaction would be to the truth of her being his mother and the questions he would ask for leaving both him and his twin with their father, Igneel. It would also be the same problem with Dragoneel. Dragoneel only knew of the dragon hunter and not his connection to her except for a foster mother in his mind. She felt her heart constrict in anticipation and pain. She quickly turned from the door left open by Natsu and went up stairs to the infirmary. Acnologia followed his sister and left the guild to deal with the new information. Makarov only sighed and motioned for his brats to continue doing what they were doing a couple of hours earlier. Lucy turned to follow Natsu but Happy stopped her and shook his head. Happy along with Blackie knew the whole history of Natsu and Dragoneel. They were told by Makrov right after they were born.

Happy could only watch as his father left the guild and disappeared into night sky. He hoped the Natsu could figure this out without going on a complete rampage. Soon the rest of the member s filed out of the guild and headed to back home. Lucy took happy home with her. They both got to her apartment in no time. She opened the door hoping to see Natsu sleeping on her bed but to her disappointment he was not there and her apartment was empty and cold. She felt Happy leave her arms and fly over to her bed to go to sleep. Lucy quickly changed clothes and lay next to him. She had some many questions running through her head. As if reading her thoughts Happy spoke.

"Natsu will be okay. He just needs time to himself and to think." Came his soft reply

"I know Happy but I just can't shake this feeling that there is more going on than even he knows."

"It's going to be okay Luigi." Happy laughed out loud as Lucy puffed out her cheeks in annoyance but she soon joined in the laughter and sleep followed after. Happy watched her and began to purr allowing himself to fall asleep as well.

Natsu walked for hours thinking about what he overheard. He didn't hear much but he knew that there was dragon hunter after Moonlight, her brother, Igneel and the sons of Igneel. Which meet both him and his twin were in danger being the adopted sons of Igneel. The news itself did not bother what bothered him the most was the fact that he was so close to Igneel that most likely walked by him in Hurgeon port because he did not know his human form but his twin did. He flet so useless in the search for his adopted father. He found himself on the edge of cliff and just sat down in shock and anger. He let the wind blow through his spiky hair and let his mind wander.

His mind wanders to the safety of his twin, the truth about Igneel and this new enemy. He could by the way Acnologia acted this enemy was strong enough to force almost all the dragons back to the dragon realm. He also knew that he had to fix things with his twin but he had no clue as to how to do that. He knew why he acted possessive of Lucy when his twin was around her. He knew the reasons but would not and could not let those emotions get in-between him and his twin. He needed to make things right but form how Moonlight talked Dragoneel needed to also sort things out and maybe he would return. The more he though more he got a headache and decided to remember the happier times with his twin but for some reason when he tried to go back father that when he was ten years old nothing came to mind and his headache got worse.

He let out a growl in frustration and was about to head home when a shadow stood over him. He looked up to see a smiling Moonlight. He gave a half smile in return.

"Mind if I sit with you?" She asked softly

"No" came his soft reply

"I had a feeling you would be here."

"How?"

"You're like Igneel when his was young." She responds softly and full of memories

"You knew Igneel when he was younger" came his socked reply

"Yep, We used to play together along with my brother."

Natsu could only look in awe at the female before him. She knew his father for a long time and he could hardly wait to talk about it.

"What was he like you know before?" He asked shyly

"He was pretty much the same as he is now. He was extremely stubborn, never shared his food even though he could never finish it off, and always had to be in competition with my brother. That meant a lot of towns being destroyed in the process." She laughed at the memory

"But in all the dysfunction that was Igneel there was a loyal, caring and loving dragon." She added

Natsu nodded and smiled. He remembered his years with Igneel and hoped that on day he would ba able to make new memories with him again. He turned to see Moonlight staring at him and had a bad feeling when she smiled a mischevious smile.

"Natsu I was wondering if you and your team would go on a mission with me and my brother tomorrow. I talked to Makarov and there is this S-class mission and I would enjoy going on a mission with you and your team."

"Awesome, that would be great. Yosh I'm fired up." Came his excited reply. Moonlight giggled and got up with Natsu to head back to town.

The sun rose over Magnolia and the guild was making its usual ruckus. Gray was stripping; Erza was eating her strawberry cake, Gajeel was eating iron and the rest of the guild was enjoying the morning through drinking and eating. Lucy looked around the guild and smiled but jumped as the dorr was kicked open by a smiling Natsu and an annoyed Acnologia. The guild tensed up with Acnologia but Natsu just ran over to Lucy.

"Thanks Luce for looking after Happy last night. I needed time to myself." He said with his usual grin

"No problem Natsu." She smiled back

"Natsu it was horrible Lucy would not give me any fish and then she nearly smothered me in her sleep due to her giant chest." Came Happy fake whining and despair.

"You stupid cat!" Lucy reached for him but he quickly fell to the ceiling.

Natsu laguthed and went to look for the rest of his team members and found them rather quickly. He raced over to them with the good news.

"hey guys, I found a mission and I need the two of you to join me and Lucy on this mission."

"Why should I help you flame brain?" came Gray's snarky reply

"No reason ice princess but it would be a way for you to get bet into a pulp by me." Natsu snapped back

"You want to go!" yelled gray

"Bring it Popsicle!"

The two soon got into a brawl which quickly involves Erza who bashed their heads together. Erza walked over to Lucy and sat next to her to finish her cake.

"Natsu I will join you on this mission. What does the mission involve?" she was calm as though she did not just bash his head against Gray's head

"The mission involves us finding a book and something about defeating monster that guards the book. "

"Okay just let me pack and I will meet al of you at the train station." Ordered Erza

"Wait Erza there is more!" NAtsu tried to call her back along with Gray who rushed out the moment she did.

"What else is there Natsu?" asked curious Lucy

"I forgot to tell them that moonlight and Acnologia will be joining use and it's a S-class mission because the monster is a shape shifter." Natsu replied as a matter of fact

"What?! A shape shifter! Natsu how are going to defeat that?" Lucy screamed

"I don't know but Moonlight said she had a plan as to what the plan is I don't know." He shrugged his shoulders

Lucy looked at him like he lost his mind. Team Natsu along with two dragons were going to face a shape shifter. It would be impossible to catch it especially if it can take the form of a human. Lucy slowly walked back to her apartment with Natsu behind her. Natsu just grinned; he was excited to defeat a shape shifter. Once Lucy got home she quickly packed and met Erza at the train station with a complaining Natsu behind her.

"Can't we just take Happy to the town?" Complained Natsu

"No it would take too long and Happy does not know where the town is." Growled out Lucy in turn caused Natsu to quickly shut his mouth. He hated when Lucy got that angry with him and it scared him a lot. They reached the train station as Erza was about the go looking for them. She glared in their direction.

"What took you so long we nearly missed the train."

"No we won't." stated a calm new voice

Team Natsu turned around to see Moonlight wearing actual clothes which shocked everyone but her brother. He just snorted and headed toward the ticket booth to get the tickets needed to head toward town of the Black Lotus. Moonlight giggled and walked over toward the team. Erza could only stare at her as she wore blue jeans with a hole cut in the butt for her tail with a purple tank top and black knee high boots. She had a strange belt around her waist that seemed to have different symbols similar to Acnologia necklace. Her hair was braided into an intricate design. She also had a jacket that was black and looks similar to the shirt Acnologia was wearing. She had three diamond studs in the right ear along with a dragon earring that wrapped around her ear and in her left ear she had a silver and gold earring that was connect by a chain from the top of her ear to the bottom with a strange stone that hung off of the bottom connection by another chain. Acnologia had the same style as he did when Natsu first met him except button up top was dark blue.

Erza soon shook her head and glared at natsu only shrugged and headed over to Acnologia who just bought the tickets. He took them and headed over to the rest of them team. Lucy took notice of Natsu's attitude changing. He didn't seem scared of Erza any more and more dominant. She wondered if it had something to do with the dragons or if this was part of his personality that no one really saw. Either way the new Natsu was unnerving. She noticed Erza was the same express along with Gray. She figured they noticed it too.

"Luce?" Natsu's voice brought her out of her thoughts

She juemped and replied "Natsu don't do that!"

"Sorry but I was trying to get your attention for 10 minutes." Natsu's childish voice kicked in

Lucy could only nod. She just shook her head thinking that it was just her imagination and let it go. However, Moonlight took notice of the change and walked over to Natsu. She knew he was changing back to his original personality. The one that was carefree but at the same time serious. Contrary to belief of the guild Natsu only took the carefree dimwit personality due to his twin being gone. If ever challenged to an actual game of wits he would win hands down. Like his twin, his ability to assess the situation in a matter of milliseconds and then act accordingly was something he inherited from her and the ability to destroy without conscious was from Igneel. As she grew closer to him she also noticed his body heat was growing and that concerned her even more. The only reason why she was able to hide the twins was because she and Igneel were able to lower their body temperature to that of a normal fire dragon slayer and not that of a dragon.

Moonlight reached Natsu and he turned around to meet her gaze. She smiled at him and he sent her his signature grin then paled as they grew closer to the train. He slowly backed away from the train as if getting ready to bolt in the opposite direction. Having seeing this, Moolight quickly grabbed his vest and dragged him onto the train with him protesting and struggling to get away.

Acnologia glared in his nephews directions as his screams of protest grew more desperate with each step.

"Can't we just walk there or even take happy there?" pleaded Natsu

"No."

"But the train is so boring and we could have more fun just by walking and..."

"No!" yelled everyone

Natsu got quiet and began to sulk while on the train. Lucy sat next to him with Gray and Erza on the other side of them, facing them. Natsu quickly laid his head on Lucy's lap and went to sleep to get over his motion sickness. Happy only snickered and soon fell asleep as well. Along with the rest of Team Natsu. The only ones left awake were the two dragons.

"Brother?"

"Hmm."

"I want you do me a favor."

"What is that?"

"I want you to take Natsu to Igneel when this mission is over." Came Moonlight's stern reply

"What?! Are you sure?"

"Yes judging from what Makarov told us the dragon hunter is heading this way and it would be easier for me to handle the hunter if Natsu was not here."

"Are you insane? That hunter nearly killed you 14 years ago. What makes you think you can defeat that human now?"

"Natsu and Dragoneel with not be there." Came her soft reply

Acnologia eyes widen but nodded his head in understanding. The hunter had found Moonlight's nest with her sons and attacked leaving her in a dangerous position that nearly cost her life. She was barely able to escape with the twins to Igneel. That resulted in both parents sealing their memories of her as their mother and Igneel as their father as he prepared to leave the twins with Makarov but things did not go as planned. Dragoneel transformed in front of the guild out of fear and his sister had to come back to hide him. Now, 14 years later, both twins were reunited and hunter has come back to finish what it had started with his sister. He turned his head to look out the window and though about the new headache forming.

Unknown to the two dragons Natsu heard everything and his grip on Lucy tighted. He knew those two were keeping something from him and it involved that hunter and his lost memory.
