Ally POV

"So, there's one thing I want to do before I go on tour," Austin told me as he walked into the living room. I was reading a book while Maci was napping.

I distractedly said, "Oh god, what's that?"

"I want to get a tattoo!"

I looked up and closed my book, now paying attention. "I'm sorry, what was that? It sounded like you said you wanted to get a tattoo."

"That is what I said."

"Austin, seriously? Those things are permanent, not to mention painful! Plus, your tour starts in three days, it's going to hurt for a while."

"Just hear me out," he said, sitting on me. Yes, he sat on me. "I want to get Maci's name on my back." He handed me a piece of paper he had drawn something on. It was music notes with "Maci Harmony" woven into them.

"Since when can you draw that good?" I asked, shocked.

"Since ever," Austin replied. "So what do you think?"

"What happens if we have another kid?"

"Then I'll add that kid's name to it," he said in a duh voice.

"But it's almost the end of November," I tried again. "What if the colder weather makes it hurt more or something?"

"Really? When I'm wearing clothes over it? Nice try. Come on, Ally, live a little."

I hesitated. "Alright, fine. It's your body, not mine."

"Yes!" he exclaimed happily, throwing his arms around me. It was seriously like a kid on Santa's lap. "Thanks Als!"

"On one condition."

"Anything."

"I get to get my rook pierced."

"Anything but that."

"Do you even know what a rook is?" I asked my boyfriend.

"Yes."

"What is it then?"

"I don't know," he told me.

"Exactly. It's that little cartilage part in your ear near the top," I said while I pulled my hair back and showed him the spot.

He leaned in to get a closer look and then cringed. "Gross! That would hurt so badly, Ally!"

I shrugged. "Gotta go through a little pain in life. You get your tattoo, I'll get my piercing."

He sighed. "Fine. Deal."

I grinned. "Good. Go call, babe."

"Why do I have to call?" Austin whined.

"Because it was your idea in the first place!"

He climbed off me and grabbed the phone. "Hopefully they can get us in by at least tomorrow."

While he went into the other room to phone, I texted Trish. Austin and I made a little deal.

Ooooh, what is it?! She texted back right away.

He wants 2 get a tattoo, but I'm only letting him do it if he lets me get a piercing.

Don't get it on your face.

Well, that's an insult to Quinn and Leah, I typed. Quinn and Leah both had their noses pierced with hoops instead of studs.

I didn't mean it like that, just don't do it.

Relax, it's on my ear.

I'm coming over 2 see it once it's done! She said.

Go for it, but I got g2g. L8er!

Austin yelled from the kitchen. "Ally, we're going now!"

I jumped up and ran into the kitchen. "Don't yell, your daughter is sleeping!"

"Sorry," he said in his normal voice.

"We can't go now, Austin."

"What? Why not?" he exclaimed. Loudly.

"Shut up!" I said again. "And because, Maci is sleeping."

"Leah can come over."

"Austin, we can't ask her to do that on such short notice," I said.

"He already did," came a voice from the doorway. Leah walked in and dropped her purse on the counter. "Go get your tattoo and your piercing."

"Wha- How did you get here so fast?" I asked, shocked.

"I was already on my way here," she said. "Austin called me, like, fifteen minutes ago."

I turned to Austin. "And how did you know we were guaranteed an appointment at this very moment when you hadn't even called yet?"

"I didn't, I just hoped, and I was right, so let's go! Thanks Leah," he said, grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door. I just had time to snatch my purse from the hook and yell "We owe you, Leah!" before Austin pulled me to his SUV.

"Jeez, someone's in a hurry," I commented as we got in.

"I'm excited," he said happily.

"Want me to go first, or you?"

"They'll most likely make you go first since it takes like, five seconds to do you piercing," Austin said.

"True."

The tattoo parlour we went to wasn't far from the house, so we made it there in good time. We went inside, where there were a few people getting tattooed.

"Austin, my man!" The guy behind the counter came around and shook Austin's hand.

"How's it going, Michael?" Austin grinned.

"The usual, working," the guy replied. He looked like your typical tattoo artist, with tattoos up his arms and such.

"Ally, this is Michael," Austin said. "He's a friend of my dad's. Michael, this is my girlfriend, Ally."

"Nice to meet you," I said.

"You too," he said. "Alright, so Ally, Austin said you wanted to get a piercing. What are we talking?"

"My rook."

Michael nodded. "Tons of girls come in here wanting that one done. Come and have a seat over here." Austin and I followed him over to a spot in the corner where I handed my purse to Austin and slid onto the reclining chair.

"I'm going to need you to put your hair up," Michael said while he did got stuff ready in the corner.

"Austin, grab a ponytail out of my purse."

He rummaged in it for a few seconds. "Jeez, what the hell do you have in here? It's like that never ending bag from Harry Potter."

"The Undetectable Extension Charm?"

"Okay, Miss Smarty Pants," he said. He finally pulled one out and handed it to me. I quickly threw my hair in a messy bun and tucked the loose strands behind my ear.

"Have you had any piercings before?" Michael asked me.

"My earlobes and my cartilage at the top of my ear," I replied. "But that's it."

"What's your pain tolerance like?" He asked as he cleaned the spot.

"It's surprisingly good."

Austin scoffed. "You were freaking out when you broke your ankle, Ally."

"That's a broken ankle, Austin," I snapped. "There's a difference." I turned to Michael. "I'll be fine."

He chuckled. "Okay, so this is the needle." He showed me the long silver thing that would be shoved in my ear. "I'm going to get you to lie down and then I'm going to push this little glass tube against your ear so the needle has somewhere to go after. Sound good?"

"Sounds great," I said.

"Need me to hold your hand?" Austin asked me.

"Actually, yeah."

He held his hand out and I grabbed it, squeezing it hard. "Ow, damn it, Ally!" He shrieked, yanking his hand back.

"That's what you get for doubting my ability to handle pain," I glared. I lied down on my side. "Go for it, Michael."

Austin video taped the whole thing. I could tell when Michael was about to do it because Austin's face was priceless. That gave me a heads up and all I felt was a quick pinch.

"There, that's the piercing," Michael said.

"That's it?" I asked.

"Yeah, you're done. Go check it out."

"Oh god, that looked like that hurt," Austin said.

"Don't be such a baby," I said, walking over to the mirror. It looked so good. "I love it, thanks Michael!"

"No problem, Ally," he grinned. "When Austin's tattoo is done, I'll tell you how to take care of that."

"It looks cool," Austin said as he walked over and looked at it.

"Thanks. Now time for your tattoo," I grinned.

"Do you want to do this in one sitting, or come back another day to finish it?" Michael asked Austin.

"I can't come back, my tour starts in three days," he said. "I'll do it all today."

"What did you have in mind?"

Austin handed him the picture so Michael could look at it. "Okay, this can be done in an hour anyway."

"Sweet," Austin grinned.

It took Michael fifteen minutes to draw the design on tracing paper before he got Austin to take his shirt off so he could press the picture to his left shoulder.

"Is it good there?" Michael asked, holding a mirror up to Austin's back so he could see.

"That looks awesome," Austin grinned.

"Alright, take a seat." Austin sat on the chair in the tattoo area with his front pressed against it.

"Ready for this?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah," he said.

When Michael started, I said, "So does it hurt?"

"Not really," Austin said. "It just feels like little prickles. Like my foot is asleep or something."

"At least you're not screaming in pain," I giggled.

"Oh, please, Austin Moon doesn't scream in pain," he scoffed before he yelped. "Okay, that spot hurt!"

I burst out laughing and took out my phone, setting it to video. "Oh my god, this is priceless."

"Hey, don't video tape me!"

"You video taped me!"

"Fine," he grumbled as I grinned.

Almost two hours later, the tattoo was finished. "Alright, you're done!' Michael said. He held up the mirror behind Austin again.

"Wow," Austin said as he looked at it. "Michael, that looks so sick! I love it, thanks!"

"Good job," I said to Michael in awe. "It's perfect!" The music notes flowed perfectly with Maci's first and middle names woven intricately in black. It was amazing.

He grinned. "No problem."

We went to pay. My piercing was $80 and Austin's tattoo was $300. "I'll put a bandage on that tattoo for now and be careful because it's going to be sore for a bit. And if it starts flaking, don't freak out, that's normal. Don't wear a shirt for the rest of the day."

Austin nodded and I stuffed his shirt in my purse. "Ally, clean that piercing twice a day with peroxide and move it up and down occasionally. If you have any concerns, just come down and see me."

"I will," I said. "Thanks again, Michael, it was nice meeting you."

"You, too. Take care, and good luck on the tour, Austin," he said, shaking our hands.

"Thanks," Austin grinned. When we went outside, Austin got some stares from girls, and I glared.

He laughed. "Your jealousy is so cute."

"I am not jealous."

"Uh huh, whatever you say."

"I seem to recall you getting pretty angry about me and Jesse," I said, raising my eyebrow.

"Hey, that's different!"

"How?" I challenged as we got in the vehicle.

"It just is."

"Austin-"

"Can we please not talk about that?" he snapped.

I looked at him for a few seconds before I looked away and out my window. "Sorry, I'll shut up."

"Ally-"

"Just drive, Austin."

I heard him sigh before he shifted gears and pulled out of the parking lot. Why did everything always come back to this one touchy subject?

A/N: Link to a picture of a rook piercing is on my profile at the bottom in case you don't know what it is! My friend and I are both getting it done in January for her 18th birthday :) There is also a link to a picture inspired by Austin's tattoo, but you'll have to imagine Maci Harmony inscribed in it and imagine it on his left shoulder on his back haha you'll probably have to copy and paste the links!

I'll update Hate at First Sight as soon as I can!
