So I hope that you liked my last chapter! I have LOADS of mocks coming up next week so I will try and keep this up to date :) This chapter is about finding Clint.
Previously
"Where's Barton?"
I looked round and nobody had any idea.
"Clint?" I asked sounding worried into the comms. Realising what and how I just said that, I changed to a professional tone "I mean Hawkeye?"
The team looked up at me when we heard no reply.
"Hawkeye, tell me your location." I said.
Oh my god. Where was he?
"Clint you had better reply RIGHT NOW or I swear to God-" My rant was cut off.
"Tasha?" I heard a breathless voice say over the comms.
"Barton, where are you?" Rogers asked.
"I'm right behind you." A voice came from behind the others and I saw Barton looking like he had just been dragged through a hedge backwards.
I ran up to him, threw my arms around him and said "God, you're such an idiot."
"Yeah I know I am." he said and wrapped his arms around my waist.
We stood like this for about 10 seconds until Tony interrupted us.
"Hello? Blackhawk, we need to go and get an evil demi-god!"
I quickly withdrew my arms from him shaking from the loss of heat, walked up to Tony and punched him in the face. He went stumbling over some rubble and fell on the floor.
"What did you do that for?" he asked once he'd recovered.
"Don't call us that." I said sharply and stormed off.
I heard Tony say "Hulk, meet us on the top floor." followed by some crashing outside.
We all piled into the surprisingly fully operational lift to take us to the living room of Stark Tower, which now only had an A left on the outside of the building.
On the ride up, Thor said to the rest of us "I am truly sorry for the bother that my brother has caused all of you."
"It's not your fault, Thor." Rogers said.
"You didn't know that he would do something this mental." Stark said.
"I still feel partially to blame for the destruction done to the Manhattan Island. Many lives could have been saved if I had looked after him better." he replied. The conversation between Thor, Rogers and Stark continued like this as we went up.
I looked over at Clint who was staring straight ahead. Me and him were at the back of the elevator with Thor and Stark in the middle and the captain at the front. He turned to me and mouthed 'Are you okay?'
'Of course, you?'
He just nodded as a response. Thor was quite tall and was good as a shield to have a private conversation with someone else.
Once we arrived on the top floor, Banner was there in front of Loki who was passed out on the stairs. From the ruins I could see that Hulk smashed a Loki into the floor and then tried to crawl away.
I hope Stark's cameras are still working in here, because I really want to see what happened.
Stark got out of the lift first.
"WHAT THE HELL HULK?" Stark shouted gesturing to the Loki shaped holes in the ground.
"HULK SMASH!" he replied.
"Yes, 'HULK SMASH'" he imitated in the same angry tone as Banner "but NOT on my living room floor!"
Hulk just turned away and looked like he was sulking.
As we walked over, I went up to get Loki's sceptre off the roof and went back to join the others in the living room.
Stark, Hulk, Captain America and Thor were surrounding a very angry archer getting his bow and arrows ready next to Loki.
As he started to wake up, I went over and stood next to Thor who made me look like a midget.
He began hauling himself up the stairs, but stopped and turned towards us.
Barton pulled back the arrow and stayed strong even though I knew that he was injured. He looked fine to everyone else, but I knew that he was uncomfortable.
"If it's all the same to you, I think i'll have that drink now."
If I was Barton, I would've ended his life right there, but I knew Clint wanted him to suffer. Even though, he said earlier that he wanted to put an arrow through Loki's eye socket, I think he now came to the realisation that he would be better stuck in a cell all his life in Asgard.
Barton relaxed his bowstring and put his arrow back in his quiver.
He stepped closer to Loki, punched him in the face and stood up like nothing had happened. It didn't seem to surprise anyone.
"Nice." Stark commented.
"Feel any better?" I asked.
"Much. Thanks." he said and smiled at me.
"I'll ring Fury, tell him what's happened and then see what goes on from there."
"Don't bother. Already done it. Fury's got a team to come and collect Mr. Unicorn over here. We are getting Shawarma. Now." Stark said practically half way into the lift already.
"Let's go. I'm starving anyway!" Clint said.
As we walked towards the lift, I saw Clint limping and I wondered what was wrong.
Once we arrived at the bottom floor, we got out and started making our way to the Shawarma shop. I don't even think it is going to be open, but honestly I can't be bothered to make anything now. I need meat.
I was surprised to found out that it was open.
We all piled in and the staff stared at us strangely before realising who we were.
They congratulated us on saving New York.
This was not normal. I am an undercover spy. UNDERCOVER SPY! I can't be known to other people.
Are me and Clint still going to be able to work undercover together? Is S.H.I.E.L.D even going to want me to stay? Where would I go?
Clint noticed that I was panicking and furrowed his eyebrows questioning whether I was okay or not.
I mouthed 'I'm okay. Stop worrying.' and he smiled sadly at me.
We sat down together once we ordered. I looked over at the chefs who were working really fast to serve us. I think they were frightened we would kill them.
We sat in comfortable silence just thinking about what had happened to us. This crazy war against Loki. God, it had been 4 days! Only 4, but it felt like 20.
I felt like killing Loki. What he had done to me. What he had done to Coulson. What he had done to Clint.
God, I don't know what I would do without Clint with me. Kill myself probably. I just...I just-
My thoughts were cut off by the food arriving at the table.
I looked at Barton as he sat up to get his food, but he looked uncomfortable.
"Hey, you want help?" I asked.
"No, i'm fine." he said waving me off.
"No, you're not." I said as I got his leg and pulled it up onto my chair.
"Thanks." he whispered smiling at me.
I turned back to the rest of the group who were staring at us.
"What?" I asked angrily.
"Nothing, nothing." Stark said with a huge grin on his face. I just rolled my eyes and began eating my shawarma.
Silence. Why the hell is no one talking? God, I thought at least Stark would make a stupid comment by now.
A minute went by and things were awkwardly quiet apart from the occasional loud crunch of shawarma until Stark's phone rang. 'Shoot to kill'. Honestly, I am not surprised.
"Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist here" he said into the phone.
"Oh hello Fury dear. What do you want?"
He stared at the others. "Why?"
"But it's mine." That is Stark's response to everything.
"Fine, I accept your terms." he said hanging up the phone.
"What did Fury want?" Clint asked.
"You lot are going to be staying at Stark Tower for a while." he told the rest of us.
"That might not be the best idea." Banner said wearily.
"Fury said it's fine for you to stay with me. We can figure out how to control the Hulk and maybe even make you some stretchy pants or something."
"Fine, but at the first sign of trouble and I'm gone."
"Sure whatever. Cap you in?"
"Sure. Gotta learn how to use this technology somehow." Captain agreed.
"Thor?"
"I must return to Asgard to serve punishment to Loki's crimes. When I return to this realm, I shall take up your offer of shelter." he said.
"Thanks Blondie. Assassin couple, you in?"
I ignored his comment and look at Clint.
"Vy khotit povti?" I asked. (You wanna go?)
"Ya budu sledovat' za vami kuda ugodno. Vsegda." he said slowly. (I will follow you everywhere. Always.)
I stared at him, my lips slightly parted, shocked at his words.
I turned back to the others who were staring at us, confused about what I was saying and why I was reacting like this.
"We're in." I said simply, before turning back to Clint and giving him a small smile, which he returned.
"Right." Stark said and then did some programming on his suit before turning back to his shawarma.
What was he doing?
What was Stark doing with his suit? I bet you can already guess! Hope you liked this chapter! I know when I am going to have Clint and Nat say that they love each other don't worry! Their happy ending will come...or will it? Mwahahaha...yeah. Anyway, my next chapter is them walking back to 'Avengers Tower' and how they deal with life.
