Chapter 45
Before I left for the town I talked to Yuuki about what I was going to do. She nodded or shook her head at me, but never said any words at all. I ordered Mimi to take care of Yuuki while I was gone. Kaoru turned into necklace as we headed out asking people about this man.
Their were a bunch of people talking about this. The horrible story, how they wished the police will do something soon. Me, on the other hand, was being followed by other Hunters. I keep trying to out run them but they kept on following me. I decided to give up and enter a bar. I open the door to hear ding ding.
"It's members only here. Didn't you notice the sign out front?" The bar tender said. I looked up at him.
"I'm sorry. If I'm not mistaken, this bar is for 'our kind' as well." I smiled at him making the guys eyes wide.
"I see. I'm sorry I had no idea. What do you need, young lady?" I shoved the horrible drawing that Yuuki drew to the man.
"Have you ever seen this person?" I asked him.
"My, this is badly drawn. You might improve if you drank the blood of someone with artistic talent." The bartender said. I sighed rubbing the back of my head.
"First, it was my older sister that drew this. Second, I know it's terrible but I had no choice since I was in hurry." I explained to him. He nodded his head in understanding. "Okay how about this? Have you heard rumors of a person targeting human children in particular recently?" I mad sure I said it loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Hey, now. It's dangerous to speak of such things..."
'I know.' I thought in my head.
"Children?" One man asked. I looked to see the person in my vision taking that child. "You there. What are you up to?" I crumple the paper smirking. I walked over to him.
"Last night... you kidnapped two more small children." I glared at him. "Where are they...?"
"Hey, now. Are you in any position to question me like that, little lady?" The man asked.
"Yes. I want those children back. You can live without taking human children's blood." I replied to him still glaring. "You shouldn't do what you're doing." He stand up alert.
"You... could you perhaps be... no way, not in a place like this..."
"Where are the children?" My eyes shining a deep red. The man looked even more alert as he starts running from the bar. I sighed watching him.
"Kaoru!" I shouted. Karou turned into a the 4th stage knocking the guy out. I walked towards him seeing him completely knocked out.
"I... I think you went to hard Kaoru." I informed him. He crossed his arms looking like he didn't care at all.
"Oh please. He'll live. He just annoyed the hell out of me is all." I sighed kneeling down to the guy making sure he was alright. I felt a presence besides the door flinching. I snapped looking at the person to see... Zero.
"That was my prey..." My hands clenched feeling. I put my hand to my head looking at the men, back to Zero. I walked forward for Zero to be alert. I walked past him not even glancing at him at all.
"...Then you shouldn't have let him get away."
"...Were you thinking that you could handle any number of them all on your own?" Zero's question stops me from walking. "It's gotten busy here again lately, and the work's piled up tonight too."
"I know. You are telling me that the one who caused all this was Kaname, correct?" I glanced him. He didn't show any emotions on his face. I looked at the men who was still knocked out. "Well, I got your prey knocked out, so you can take him wherever you like. Oh and Zero..." Zero looked at him. I showed him my eyes getting red. "I'm not the same vampire Victoria or the human Victoria anymore."
"Then... what are you?" He ask.
"I'm... me." I replied not looking to me. I walked forward. "Come on, Kaoru."
"Yes." He walks behind me.
'I'm done acting. I'm done pretending like I don't know anymore. Right now, I'm going to take care of everything, including Kaname.' I walked forward to go into the direction of Maria's home.
"Ah..." Maria says. I smiled kindly at her.
"Long time no see. Do you remember me?" I asked. After my discussion with Maria. I decided to go see Shiki and Rima doing a photo shoot. I clamped my hands making them look surprise, sorta. I smiled at them. 'I... am about to do something Zero won't like.'
I walked in the Hunter Association. Yagari showed me to where Kaien's office was.
"Oi! You got a minute?" Yagari spoke. I look to Zero, but then I look back at Kaien not taking a glance at Zero anymore.
"That's fine. What is it, Victoria?" Kaien ask. I walked forward to whisper in Zero's ear.
"Stay if you want to know what I'm planning." He looks at me but I didn't look at him. I knew what he was going to do. "Or..." I turned back to him. I walked over to the door. "Let me shut the door." I closed the door in his face. I turned back to Kaien. "I have a request for you, Chairman."
"...What is it?" Kaien asked.
I'm in a meeting room looking at the Vampires. I look at them serious.
"What's this..." One says in disbelief.
"Are you serious...?" Another one asked.
"I am. I want to restart the night class." I replied to them all."I want to protect eh agreement between the association and my brother. But there is a limit to what I can do by myself, so..."
"You shouldn't bother to ask us nobles for permission. You can do as you like with the power you purebloods hold." One asked.
"No... the night class should established through collaboration. I want comrades who will protect the agreement together with me there." I explained to them. "If the Night class is established through collaboration, I will surely find those comrades. I... want to get along with all of you too. And I want to get along with humans as well."
"What do you intend to do about Kaname-sama...?" Someone spoke.
"Hanadagi-sama and Aidou-dono... we can't deny the possibilty that Kaname-sama migh en up as our foe. And yet, you're discussing the night class instead of the issure of Kaname-sama...?"
"Do you think I have not thought for one minute about Kaname?" I questioned them. They all looked taken back. "In time, I will deal with Kaname but for now, I have a few people that I trust and now, collaborating on my idea of the night class."
On cue, Shiki and Rima walked in behind me. "We'll collaborate." Shiki spoke.
"We understand what she's talking about." Rima says. I feel grateful smiling at both of them.
"I'm grateful to you both, Senapi." I spoke up.
"...Aidou-san hasn't come, has he?" Shiki asked. I smirked from his question.
"You didn't ask him...?" Rima asked.
"I'm sure he already knows about it."
"And your sister?" Rima asked again. The smirk on my face disappeared and sadness was held in my eyes.
"She broke." They looked at me confused. "She's completely broken. She hasn't spoken a word to me at all since we got here."
"...I see..." Rima looks ahead of her. Shiki patted my head in a comfort matter.
"...I see... Then I shall be frank with you." One spoke up. "Those of us in the nobility have no desire to end up like Aidou-dono. We don't have any guarantee that you won't do as Kaname-sama has done. Aidou-dono's son and your sister must be even more suspicious of you than us." My eyes widen looking at them.
'Nee-chan too...?' I thought looking down.
"Or... will you punish you for disobeying you, Victoria-sama?" One spoke.
"Or rather, why not just use your pureblood power to make us follow you?" My hands grip.
"Enough!" They were taken back by my outburst. "I can see why Aidou-dono was the best out of all of you. Your all just cowards, afraid of what is going to happen only to yourself than others. How selfish can you get? Well then, I must say. I did not expect nobles this low. You have disrespect the noble line like this." Their eyes were wide before looking down sadness. The next thing I knew I heard whistling.
"When did Victoria-sama become this brave." A husky voice said.
"My cute little sister had definitely change." A soft voice spoke from behind me. A voice that I missed so much, it felt like forever since that voice spoke. I turned around to see Aidou and Yuuki.
"I believe in her." Aidou spoke. Yuuki put her hand on my shoulder.
"I agree 100%. My little sister finally taking responsibility. Growing up." Yuuki had a soft smile on her face looking at me. Her eyes didn't look so clouded anymore, her eyes were proud and looked like she was sorry. We all looked at the vampire council to see them look at us.
"Aidou-dono's... Yuuki-sama..." One vampire spoke up.
"Pardon the intrusion. I'm also collaborating with her." Aidou spoke.
"So am I. As the elder sister of the Kuran family, I will collaborate with my little sister." Yuuki spoke in serious tone.
'Nee-chan...' I looked back at the rest of them bowing down to them. "Please."
