Chapter 13

Breakfast was really awkward. My father came home in the middle. It was the most awkward thing I have ever experienced in my life and I do not want to relive it anytime. When I finished my breakfast, my mother actually let me go to school. It seems that she wanted some time.

Now, I am at school listening to one of the most boring teachers in the entire school give a lecture about homework because apparently a couple of people forgot their homework. Really Yunoki sensei? JUST LECTURE THE ONES WHO FORGOT THE HOMEWORK.

So...I'm currently really bored. I can feel my eyelids drooping and I'm about to fall asleep literally. I have to stay awake otherwise sensei will kill me and hurl me out a window, most likely literally. If he catches me daydreaming he'll most likely give the class another lecture so I have to start paying attention.

I pinch my cheek to wake myself up and surprisingly it works.

"And you should never forget to hand in your homework because it'll benefit your future. You future is very important to us and if you want to throw it away, it'd be a great loss."

Bullshit. You wouldn't have cared about someone else's future other than yours, you just want your pay check. But if we're bad, our parents would rage that the teacher wasn't doing a good job and that would or might get him a lower pay check. In special cases though, he might get kicked out, which is fairly good for us since he's a bad teacher.

"That is why you should always do your homework ladies and gentlemen. Okay now on with the lesson, today we'll be learning about-"

*RINGGGGGGG*

Wow, he took so long lecturing us that an entire period already went by and now it's lunch. He sure loves wasting time, we should give him a lecture about wasting our time and 'not benefiting our future'.

I walk to the roof where Tsuna, Gokudera, Yamamoto and recently Kyoko and Hana sit. As I walk up the steps, I can hear faint murmurs. I push the door wide open and I see Tsuna talking with Yamamoto and Gokudera. They look like I'm going to kill them and relax after realising it's only me. Did they really think a murderer was going to come into this school?

Okay, with everything currently happening I think it's possible for a murderer to come into our school. I brought the gun just in case, that was the one condition that my mother and father said so that I could go to school today.

I sit down in the circle of people and start eating my lunch. They all resumed talking but obviously not the same thing they were talking about before. Before they were really quiet as if not wanting someone to overhear. Now, they're a lot louder and Yamamoto's laugh is very prominent. Gokudera's dynamite is already out of his pocket and he's yelling at the top of his lungs.

It's obviously fake.

Everything is fake. The laughs are a tad bit too high pitched. The yells are too loud, even for Gokudera. Hana comes in and sits down and opens her bento. She starts eating as well but seems sceptical that something's going on ...Since when did I notice this? No more thinking Anna, you're thinking too much into it. It could just be a big misunderstanding.

Then I realise something's off.

"Where's Kyoko?"

"Hmm, oh she said she had something to do so I went without her."

Hana's words start dawning on me. I start thinking and trying to locate where I saw Kyoko in the dream, oh yeah, the bubblers. I excuse myself for the bathroom and speed towards the door. What's the quickest way to the bubblers? Stop panicking.

I'm sure Kyoko's okay. OKAY MY ASS. She's probably lying on the ground somewhere. DEAD.

How come I didn't notice earlier? How come I wasn't careful? I hear footsteps behind me but I'm too focused on Kyoko to care.

Where are the bubblers? Why is this school still like a maze, haven't I been here for a couple of weeks already?

I finally reach the bubblers and no one's there.

I start freaking out, what if Kyoko was already in the back of a truck? What if she's already dead? I hear approaching footsteps and I'm about to dash for it when I feel it.

The sparkly pink background whenever Kyoko talks.

"AH. Anna san what are you doing here?"

"Oh, hi...um"

Then my brows furrowed.

"Didn't I tell you to just drop the 'san', we're friends."

"It's a habit!"

There it is again that sparkly pink background. I smiled, she wasn't hurt.

I didn't hear the approaching footsteps this time and I guess it would be a very good lesson in the future.

Kyoko's eyes had gone wide, looking at something behind me and when I realised it was 'him'. I spun around and dashed. I dragged Kyoko with me but he was quicker. From the way that Kyoko and I were running, Kyoko was running at the back and I was in the front. She would be stabbed if 'he' were to catch up.

Quickly realising that fact, I dragged Kyoko to run quicker but 'he' managed to scrape Kyoko with the needle. He was so close and when he plunged the needle at Kyoko, I shoved her away from harm's way and he plunged it in me instead.

There was no pain at first but after a few milliseconds, the pain spread like a virus. The world was fading. The world was in slow motion as I fell.

"Fufufufufu."

It's him.

I tried to reach out and scream for help. I could faintly see a smile playing on his lips, that smile. That devious smile of a trickster.

When I was falling he was going to lunge at Kyoko with another needle when I heard it. That familiar cry to stop. Only this time more powerful.

"STOP. LEAVE HER ALONE."

Oh how you've grown Tsuna.

Then I blacked out.
