Chapter 47
Yuuki and I was in town to look around but we look behind us to see Zero. I glanced back at him to see his expression like mine. Expressionless. I looked forward again to run with Yuuki beside me. Yuuki and I were holding hands but I can feel my thrist growing.
'Damn...' I thought squeezing her hand.
"Victoria?" Yuuki questioned. I looked at her with my eyes soften.
'Only Yuuki, Yori, Mimi, and Kaoru can see my expression. Nobody else.' I thought smiling at her. "Yeah. I'm fine." I looked around to point up on the tallest building. Yuuki nodded her head as we jumped up to see an abandoned house. We can hear people in the inside of the house creating noises trying to get out of the house. "Coming." We jumped down the building together to see the vampire culprit.
"We will not allow you to escape." Yuuki says looking at him serious. We stand up looking at him.
"...Well, who are you two?" He ask. I ran towards just as he was holding something in his hands. I avoided his attacks, but he hit me. To his advantage his about to leave when I brought out Hope.
"No. We will not let you escape." I spoke to him darkly having no emotions in my voice. No time later did something pull a knife to my throat.
"Victoria!" I hear Yuuki shout my name.
"Nee-chan, don't." I looked at her. Yuuki nodded her head in understanding. I turned to look at the person holding the knife to see a woman. I wasn't afraid, I just looked straight at her.
"Release my boyfriend." She demands.
'She's a human.' I thought more of a statement.
"You must be human. Aren't you on of the victims..." Yuuki ask.
"Didn't I tell you to escape first?! Saying these words!" He shouted at her.
"If you get caught, wouldn't be that worse?" She yelled back at him. "Also, didn't you say that you need me?" I noticed a shadow behind me and bloody rose. I looked at Zero.
"Zero..." I spoke but was cut off by a gun shot. He shot the vampire that turned to ashes.
"Kyaaaa!...Fu..." The woman fell down from heart break. I looked at the dust and glared at Zero clenching my hand. I opened my mouth and closed it again looking at the woman.
"Tying him up would better. He would not have shot him to death without hesitation." I smirked a little. "Even his face color has not changed..."
"You're still the same, bearing those naive thoughts about vampires..." Zero says.
"Of course. After all I told you. I am me." I looked at him. I looked to see Maria walking behind Zero.
"...Ah... Sorry, because no one's escaping towards my direction... both of you must be talking about something important." I passed Zero walking over to Maria to smile at her.
"Do you mean me and Yuuki?" I smiled at her. Her eyes were wide looking at me, she turns to look at Yuuki who only gave her sad look. "Maria, I don't know who this stranger is. In fact... a hunter shouldn't know a pureblood." I glanced at him but then heard footsteps coming my direction.
"Victoria..." Mimi spoke up to look at me, Yuuki, and Zero. "Are you alright...?" I nodded my head smiling at them. I looked at Yuuki smiling.
"We better go Nee-chan." I spoke up walking to her past Zero.
"If you are unhappy about the way I treat vampires-" Zero stopped speaking grabbing my wrist making my eyes wide looking at him. "Are you still wearing that on your wrist? Bracelet- Then us it to force me to submit to you." He smirked looking at me glare at him. "The magic to subdue should still be there now." He was pointing at his tattoo. My eyes widen and his smirk continue to grow. He was now close to my ear. "You showed this stranger your emotions. Meaning, you know who I am, Victoria." My eyes widen even more as I pulled away from him getting my wrist out of his grasp. I looked at a different direction feeling my emotions breaking for him.
"There is no use for something other than level E." I spoke looking towards Yuuki. She must have noticed the hurt in my eyes, and the sadness of those days as human. Zero took one more glance at me before walking away leaving me, Mimi, Maria, and Yuuki.
I was holding onto my wrist feeling the warmth. 'Damn...' I was trembling just from his simple touch. I put my hand on my throat feeling it already so dry. 'Damn... this is why... I need him to stay away from me...' Yuuki walked up to me putting her hand on my shoulder.
"Long time no see..." Maria starts speaking. Yuuki and I looked at her. "...After we met, you found out that your older brother has changed to someone a little different. Yuuki and Victoria is unexpectedly that lord's younger sisters."
'Yes. I am his young sister and fiancee. The girl that was in other world know brought back to this world. He, who has changed me back to once I was. I almost forgot about that.'
Karou's POV
I turn into a level 1, a blue puff ball. I transported into the cold air to see Ruka siting on the couch. I turned into Level 4.
"I see you are still in love with him." I spoke up making her surprise. Ruka turned to look at him standing up.
"Kaoru... how are you-"
"I'm guessing Kaname hasn't told you everything." I cut her off. Her eyes were wide. I sighed facing my back towards her. "Good luck." I opened the door to be welcome by Seiren.
"My my... it's been a long time. I need to talk to your lord for a minute. It involves... Victoria." Seiren only nodded her head walking forward. 'Still the same. Never talking at all.' I followed Seiren to see that the door was open by... "Akatsuki... Why am I not surprise?"
"What are you doing here Kaoru?" He glared at me. I smirked about to answer him until...
"Akatsuki, it's alright. He is allowed to enter." I looked to see Kaname looking straight at me with a sad smile. 'Like his grave.'
Akatsuki looked at me and then at Kaname before allowing me to enter. I walked in to look at Kaname. "Nice place." I noticed something on the shelf. I smiled. "Victoria... has been looking all over for that." Kaname looked at the shelf to see the rose in the sap.
"I see... She has become different." Kaname's voice was sad.
"What do you expect Kaname? She knew from the very beginning that it would turn out like this." Kaname looked at me with wide eyes.
"From the very beginning?" I looked at Akatsuki and Seiren nodding my head. Akatsuki and Seiren bowed to walk out of the room. I sat down on the chairs. Kaname sat across from me.
"Yes. She had no idea that she was Kuran, but other than that. She knew about Rido, Shizuka, and what you were planning once you took her and Yuuki back home. Even though she knew, she still didn't want to expect it. Kaname..." Kaname looked at me. I can see the shocked in eyes and confusion. "...this is the true Victoria. This is the Victoria from the other world." Kaname's eyes were wide as he stands up.
"What do you mean?" Kaname question me in disbelief.
"Minami showed me vision, bits and bits, of how Victoria was like in the other world. She was happy, energetic, but... she only choose the people that she trust to show her emotions. She only showed the Star family her emotion with everyone else she avoided their gaze. The Victoria here... and the Victoria at the other world are completely different. After all... she is her." I stand up to walk over to the window.
"So... all this time. The Victoria that I saw and knew... wasn't who she truly was." Kaname wondered in disbelief.
"No..." Kaname looked at me. "That was the Victoria from the heart. The person she wished to be, but could never be in the other world. Listen Kaname, Victoria will never lie to you, don't ever think that?"
"I know that..."
"But..." I cut him off again. "She is trying to hid what she has become in the other world. You don't know much about her from the other world Kaname. Victoria was lonely, her heart was dark, she had no friends, she only cared about her family. Now, all of that has changed thanks you, Yuuki, and... Zero." Kaname's eyes were even wider looking at me. I sighed to see him so shock. I turned my head to look outside.
"Kaname, may I ask a favor?" I looked at Kaname once more. He nodded his head looking at me. "Please... help from not making her go to the other world... Help me. To not ask Mimi taking her to other home." Kaname looked at me in confusion.
"Why?"
"If she does... she will... die." Kaname stand up looking at me even more.
"What do you mean die?!" For the first time in a while, I actually saw him lose his cool.
"Victoria's presence, her body, and her blood is so use to this world. That the portal will reject her from going to the other world. If she so dares as touch the portal her hand bleed. Once she enters the other world, you will only see blood on a carpet."
"Kaoru..." I turned to look at Kaname with a sad smile.
"I know that Victoria will someday wish to go to the other world for once, but... I can't let her die. Please... stop her from ever trying to command Mimi to open the portal." Kaname looked down before looking at me again.
"I protect Victoria ever since she came back here. I'll continue to protect her even if she hates me." I smiled at Kaname before turning into a blue puff ball saying good bye to him... for now.
Victoria's POV
I was walking into the headmaster office with Yuuki. Yuuki was listening to but of course I knew what they were talking about, Kaname. They were talking about how the head of Shizuka house temple has been destroyed. Some of the servants in that house was dead, ashes were shinning away by the killer of Kaname.
"Please come in." A soft voice spoke. I open the door without hesitation.
"Why can you say that it's that person who did it... don't tell me you saw what happen in that split second...?" I asked.
"Victoria..." Kaien spoke rather hesitant.
"Victoria... I new it." I looked to see Sara walking over to me. She knelled down towards holding my arms. "Please save me... The death of Hanadagi-sama must be also Kaname and the next would be me. If it's you you will surely be able to protect me from Kaname."
'Good acting...' I thought hearing her so worried.
"I'm begging you... Let me stay by your side...!" She begged. I looked to see Yuuki running into her room.
"Nee-chan..." I looked back at Sara. "Alright. I understand. I must know go to my Nee-chan now." I got my arms out of her grasp walking towards my room. "Nee-chan..." I noticed her lying on the bed crying. I walked over to sit on the bed rubbing her back. "It's going to be okay."
"How can you be so sure? How can you possibly know everything is going to be okay?" Yuuki didn't look at me. She muffling on her blanket. "Why aren't you suffering from what Kaname is doing?!"
"You don't think I am." Yuuki looked at me to see my hurt expression. "I have been hurting Yuuki. Ever since we awoke to become vampires. I just want the time on the clock to stop moving, but in the end time will never stop."
"Victoria..." I can feel my throat becoming dry just from remembering Kaname and his blood. I hold my throat bending down.
'Oh no...'
"Victoria." Yuuki looked at her blood tablets, grabbing some water and table. I looked at the red liquid. "Drink this. It will calm you down."
'No matter how hard I try. The fact that I am a vampire will not disappear too.' I thought taking the liquid to drinking it all up. I can feel someone's presence at the door. The presence was looking at me as my eyes were red chewing on the blood tablets. 'Zero.'
"What is it? Zero." I spoke up. The door was already open.
"...It looks like he want s to stay something to you Ichijou-sempai." I dropped the glass to just take a handful of two blood tablets in my mouth.
"Victoria... you already took a huge chunk of blood tablets!" Yuuki shouted at me ready to take the tablets. I looked at her eyes leaning against the railing.
"I'm sorry. I'm just hungry is all. Don't worry." I didn't look at Zero. I only answer Zero with a simple nodded. I noticed that Zero was long gone before I could I answer any further. My eyes twitched from this blood that I was tasting. I looked at the tablets to see the difference in real blood and tablets.
"...Is not the slightest bit tasty." I complained looking Yuuki. Yuuki sighed looking at me.
"...I know."
"-I agree completely. It's like a type of drug that allows us to live easier." I looked at the door to see Maria walk in.
"Maria." I spoke gently.
"I'm sorry, I saw. That it seems you and Zero can't talk like before." Maria informed me.
"Mar-"
"...Unless..." She walked closer to me. "You don't want him anymore? Then... Zero-kun I shall snatch him away..." I looked at Maria with a smile. She was shocked to look at me smiling. I patted her head.
"It is your choice Maria. You decided on what you want to do. But... a Hunter and a Pureblood vampire will never get along. Unlike a Level B vampire... you are completely different." Maria's eyes were even wider.
"Victoria..." I faced my back on her.
"I'm sorry Maria, Nee-chan. Can you two leave me alone?" Maria and Yuuki nodded their heads exiting out the door.
'This is for the best. If Maria snatches him away then... he can stay away from me. So I... wouldn't hurt him.'
