Chapter 15

*Anna's POV*

You must kill Tsuna.

Excuse me?

Did I hear you correctly or are you really expecting me to kill the only person who hasn't betrayed my trust yet? For your information as well, I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I CAN TRUST YOU YET.

Do you not believe me? Kufufufu~

Do I have a reason to believe you? What do I have to lose? What do I have to gain?

You have everything to gain and nothing to lose and so you should complete the trial. It is as simple as that.

Ha! Please, then you honestly know nothing about me. Tsuna is my friend, he wouldn't kill me if you told him to, and I'm not going to stoop so low just to unleash these so called 'flames'. I'm stuck here, while Tsuna's probably doing everything he can to help Yamamoto and I.

That is why you should complete the trial. You'll be of great help to Tsuna in the future.

Really, you expect me to believe this web of lies you're spinning. Though I have been seeing crazy things recently, do you really think I'll believe this nonsense about 'flames'.

*Sigh* I wasn't actually allowed to give you a choice but I have so much time to kill and it's so much fun being in your head. Basically what I'm saying is that you WILL take the trial.

That's nice to know. I don't even have a choice anymore!

You have arrived…

Hmm…It's black. Everything's black, I don't have a flashlight or anything.

*Click*

Wow, that's a really bright light and it hurts my eyes looking at it. I shield my eyes and take a step back, away from the light when I bump into something. Curiously, I turn around when I see a table with a gun and a ring on it. This person actually wants me to kill Tsuna.

*Click*

Another light turns on and it's shining on Tsuna!

"Tsuna! It's me!"

His head snaps toward me and he walks while increasing his pace every now and then. He tilts his head to one side before straightening it and he continues to walk. His legs don't seem to want to cooperate with the rest of his body. His hands are flung around by his flimsy arms.

Something's not right. Obviously. This Tsuna could pass as the Tsuna I know any day if you just judge the appearances. Personality wise, he's completely different. He hasn't said anything and the Tsuna I know is clumsy but isn't this lethargic. The way he moves is as if he is just an exterior being moved by an amateur puppeteer.

I quickly put on the ring and grab hold of the gun while bring it to my chest. My finger shakily moves to the trigger and I point it at Tsuna. My eyes widen at my doing and I lower the gun towards the ground.

Suddenly as if someone hit the accelerate button, Tsuna charges at me and I dash to my right.

Use the ring and the gun~

I quickly point the gun towards Tsuna and shoot. I shoot again and again. But there are bullets firing. He looks around and spots me and charges again. I don't understand what's going on. I don't know what I'm meant to do. What am I meant to do with a gun without bullets!?

I didn't want to kill Tsuna in the first place yet he makes me and now he expects me to kill him with a gun without bullets! My heartbeat quickens and I can feel it pounding in my chest. I look around but I can only see the 2 lights that opened when I got here. The lights begin fading out and suddenly I'm in pitch black until another light turns on, shining on 'fake' Tsuna and Tsuna!

What is wrong with this person! Tsuna is being choked by the fake one and it seems as though he can't breathe. I have to do something. ANYTHING!

You know, if you don't fight, you can't win. Kufufufu~

The ring on my finger unexpectedly lights up with an indigo flame on top. It's a flame. IT'S GOING TO BURN ME. AND IT'S INDIGO. WHAT IS GOING ON? The gun is also beginning to become covered in flames and I freak out for a second before calming down.

These flames aren't burning my skin so they can't hurt me. I don't know what to do so I just bring the gun up again and I shakily point at the fake Tsuna. I shoot at him.

Time seems to slow down. He doesn't seem to realise what I just did and stays put with Tsuna choking in his arms. The bullet explodes on contact with his skin and a ball of black engulfs him before disappearing.

Fatigue settles in on me and I fall into a dark pit once again.

Only to be awoken by his voice once again.

Kufufufu. It is me again, it seems like you've unleashed your flames. Congrats.

Congrats my ass, why did you do that trial thing?

To unleash your flames of course.

Why didn't they use someone else to get me to unleash my flames, why you?

Good question, actually you're still in a deep sleep in a hospital. I, however can access your mind freely and talk to you. Things have gotten quite out of hand and they want you to be able to defend yourself when you awaken.

Uh-huh. I'm not sure if you're telling me the truth or some random stuff to mess with my mind.

Probably both in my opinion. Kufufufu~

So…you are just toying with my mind. And telling me the truth. That doesn't even make sense-

It seems your time has come. We'll meet again. Anna.

*SNAP*

My eyes snap open. Around me is the sterile white walls of a hospital. The opposite of my subconscious prison but both are just as terrifying. The nurse attending me stiffens and backs away slowly before running presumably to the doctor to tell him I've awakened.

I hear the shuffle of footsteps and I see the doctor and the nurse from earlier. The doctor asks a few simple questions like do you need water, are you feeling ok and so on. He leaves and then I see Tsuna and Gokudera enter the room.

"TSUNA, GOKUDERA!"

"Anna, you're okay! We were so worried, you were asleep for about 3 days! We were so scared, they said that a poison had entered your blood stream!"

"You better be grateful! Boss was so worried about you!"

"Where's Yamamoto?"

The question struck them like lightning. They both stood strangely stiff and looked anxious about telling me.

"Anna…Yamamoto is…in hospital."

As I thought, he was in the hospital and I bet his injuries were ridiculously severe as well. I laughed in my mind, my 'dreams' were real. This is so fake to be real. The door opened and the doctor appeared giving me news on how I could be released out of the hospital in a couple of days. I zoned out after he continued talking. I really wasn't in the mood for this.

Use the ring and the gun.

The words echoed in my head and then it snapped. Where was my ring? Where was my gun? In my bag at school! Oh no, is it still there.

"…and also remember to-"

"Hey Tsuna, do you know where my school bag is?"

"Err, it's at your house…"

"My house?"

"I-I brought it to y-your house."

"Thank you."

Tsuna's face turned pink and then red as a tomato. He looks down in embarrassment and turns away. I smile to myself that someone actually still cares about me. Tsuna manages to catch the smile and he puts on his own smile.

The doctor gets up to leave and so does the nurse leaving only Tsuna, Gokudera and me in the room. The atmosphere quickly turns awkward and I start to fidget when surprisingly Tsuna breaks the silence.

"We'll find the person who did this to you Anna. Don't worry we'll find them."

I'm about to tell them that it was Julie who did this to me but my mouth won't open and I can't move all of a sudden. Then I feel like I'm being forced to move and I nod to Tsuna and say a quick 'okay'.

I don't know what's wrong with me, it's almost as though I'm being controlled.

Then Tsuna and Gokudera get up to leave and they both say their goodbyes, both in their own way. Once the door closes, I'm alone.

The days in the hospital fly past like a breeze. I'm out of the hospital in no time at all and I go straight home. My mother is waiting for me but I'm not very sure where my father is. Her eyes flash anger but it's gone in a second. My mother still has that same stern gaze of hers but when she sees me, part of it melts away.

"Welcome back Anna."

I'm home.
