HEY. It's Christmas! I was supposed to upload this yesterday but for some reason, I ended up going on youtube and searching up videos instead. Happy reading and MERRY CHRISTMAS! ^o^

Chapter 16

*Anna's POV*

It's been what feels like a century since I've missed my life. I never missed it before since it was like I was stuck in a prison most of the time. Being in that subconscious cell has changed my mind about, mostly everything.

I go to my room and shower. I feel so refreshed and new after it. It's been such a long time since I actually cleaned myself up. In my opinion, a week give or take, is a long time to go without a shower! The hospital doctors and nurses didn't allow me because 'there was still poison in my blood'.

I take my time picking clothes and skim through a whole heap of clothes I never realised I had until now. I want an outfit that was comfortable and warm. It was incredibly cold outside, though I didn't seem to realise when I came home due to my current state. Sweaters and thick infinity scarves were usually the trick.

As I browse through my choices, a soft silk brushed by my hand. I have never bought anything that's made of silk. From the texture I'm guessing it was real, and I bet it also costed a lot which is another reason why I didn't buy it. Why would I buy it anyway? I can't wear it as a casual outfit.

I'm getting off track aren't I? I pull the clothing of the hanger and it was a dress. A beautiful dress if I may add. It was a strapless high low dress with ribbon neatly lining the edges of the sweetheart neckline. There were a few sequins on the ribbon as well but that was the only flashy thing about the dress. It was a deep mesmerising blue and had a partial ombre effect. It faded from top to bottom, light to dark. It was a perfect dress in my eyes.

But I've never seen this dress before.

I take it into my hands towards where my mother was, which I had no idea so I wonder around the house. When I come upon her, she is on the phone and her eyebrows crinkle together occasionally. Deciding it was the wrong time, I turn away pretending I was never there.

When I am about to leave, I accidently let my hand slip and it bumped into a can which rattled thus getting my mother's attention. Silently cursing myself, I slowly walk away like nothing had happened.

"Anna, what is it that you needed."

"Umm, the dress?"

She seems to understand the basic concept of what I was trying to say. She shifts uncomfortably.

"It's for...the ceremony."

The ceremony, how could it have slipped my mind!

"Why didn't I see this dress earlier?!"

"I put it in your closet on the day you were poisoned. I wanted to see if the dress fit for the ceremony."

"Wait...when's the ceremony?"

"Tomorrow."

"Tomorrow!? As in the day after today!?"

"Yes..."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?!"

"I just told 'them' you weren't going."

"WHY."

"It's dangerous, I don't want to see you get hurt again."

"Yeah but, but, but..."

But I don't need to go.

My mind is currently spinning in circles, why did I just have that thought that I actually wanted to go? If this were a few weeks ago, I would have said no in a flash.

"Though, 'they' wouldn't allow someone like you to not attend so you still have to attend the ceremony."

"B-but when I walked in on you, you were still on the phone talking! You couldn't have finished 'negotiations' about me not going so quickly!"

"Hmm, I thought you were just screaming about wanting to go?"

She gives me a questioning stare but dismissed it as a part of me recovering. Well, my mother is still intimidating even though her aura is fading bit by bit.

"Anyways Anna, why don't you try on the dress? I want to see if it fits, it better since I don't have enough time to order another."

"Order?"

"Yes, I personally ordered it to fit your requirements. It has to, you are my daughter after all."

*RINGG*

"Sorry, I have a call."

" 'Kay, I'll just try on this dress, that I found, in my closet...yeah"

I hurriedly walked to my room with a stiffened back. I shut the door with a bang and slid down it, hitting the floor with a thump.

"What is wrong with me?" I sighed. It must be the ceremony that's getting on my nerves. I just have to put up with this for what, a couple more days and then I am going back to Italy! Hip hip hooray!

*RINGG*

My phone, where's my phone?

*RINGG*

Where is it? I'm sure it's here since the sound is coming from inside my bedroom.

*RINGG*

Found it! It was under that dress I was going to try on and I just managed to hide my phone underneath it.

"Hello? Anna speaking."

"Dame Tsuna, go tell her. If you don't I'll shoot you...HEH Y-you can't do that!...Okay, I'll tell her!"

"Who is this speaking?"

"Eep! It's me T-Tsuna."

"Right...was there something you needed?"

"I-I wanted to s-see if you h-have time, now?"

"I have to ask my mother about that, can you hold on for a second?"

I put the phone on my bed and open the door. Suddenly, she pops up in my face and I jump back hitting the door I just opened.

"I heard Tsuna's taking you somewhere. I have some things to plan with his father and some other work colleagues, so you'll be staying over at his house tonight for a sleepover."

"Can't you plan later though?"

I'm not usually sceptical but she just said she didn't want me getting hurt. If I were to go with Tsuna, to who knows where, how will I be safe exactly? I mean no offence to Tsuna but HE'S TOO CUTE TO DO ANY HARM.

"It's for tomorrow. I'm part of the 'planning committee' for the ceremony."

"Uh-huh..."

"He'll be here in a couple of minutes, you should probably pack your things for the sleepover."

Swoosh, went her dress and her hair. Her hair literally blew in my face when she abruptly turned to walk away. What is this, Mean Girls?

I pack all my necessities into a small fabric sling bag. My pyjamas, a book, a hairbrush and toiletries are all jammed inside. I decide against bringing my blankets or pillow since my sling bag is already overflowing. I slap on a peach t-shirt with a blue owl sweater and casual jeans. A lavender infinity scarf finishes the look and I dash about the room again.

I find the only cute shoulder bag in my room and stuff my phone, wallet and my keys to the house. With perfect timing the doorbell rings and I gather all the things I will need. I head towards the door but when I open it I stumble and crash into someone. That someone turns out to be Tsuna.

I crash into him and I fall on top of him. My hands are on both sides of his head which is overheating and turning very tomato like. I realise the position is very awkward and I hurriedly get off him but I trip again due to my luck. I land on top of him, literally.

He's indeed very lucky that I didn't crush his lungs. I am so embarrassed! Tsuna is about to take me somewhere and he is letting me sleep in his house yet I just trip and fall on him. I get up carefully and brush myself off while helping Tsuna up.

We stand awkwardly, looking down and brushing any remaining dirt off ourselves. I decide to break the awkward silence since it's killing me. I hate being awkward!

"So? Are we going?"

"Ah! Y-Yeah...?"

"Lead the way!"

Next chapter will be the 'date' and the sleepover. Also included in the chapter will be an extra which talks about their Christmas holiday. I know that during the inheritance arc, it wasn't Christmas but THIS ISN'T CANNON! YAY. ^^ All reviews welcome!
