Epilogue

"I do."

Okay, I'm way, way too far ahead. Let me recap a bit.

"Where is my damn bouquet!? I can't find it anywhere!"

"Calm down, Anna chan. Deep breaths. In…and out. In…and out. In…-"

"Kyoko, just tell her to shut up. It usually does the trick."

"Hana! It's her wedding day!"

"Aaaand, she's screaming for the bouquet that she's holding in her hands. Give me a break."

"Oh I found my bouquet!"

"What is wrong with you?"

A day filled with promise and new hope emerged. Of course, seeing as I wanted everything to be perfectly perfect, it was…chaos basically.

How ironic.

My hair was pulled out continuously by a darn comb, did the hairdresser want me bald?! This dress felt suffocating, or maybe it was just me getting fat.

Not sure.

Damn butterflies in my stomach. Anxiety knotted from my head to my feet and through my hands and hair.

Okay I still need to recap. You have absolutely no idea what's going on.

On a relatively hot day, Enma and I went to get ice cream at our favourite ice cream parlour, the one closest to Tsuna's house. Of course, as per usual, we ordered mint choc chip and strawberry cheesecake.

Finally! No need to recap anymore!

Anyways, whilst I payed (he forgot his wallet because he was so nervous, don't ask), he glanced around the shop. He seemed awfully anxious, maybe it was work again?

As the employee gently handed me the ice cream cones, I tucked the change away in my pocket. Taking them from her hands, the ice cream was already starting to melting. Even when it is melting, ice cream is still pretty damn awesome.

And then when I looked around, Enma had disappeared. Panicked, I semi-frantically looked around and I almost tripped on him. He was down there tying his shoelaces.

He told me later that I looked like an idiot, not that I don't look like an idiot every other moment of the day.

"What are you doing down there for? I almost tripped and spilt the ice cream, and you know there is no more strawberry ice cream left. "

When I looked down again, he just looked at me with the what-did-you-just-do kind of expression.

"What? I didn't do anything…Right, sorry about the ice cream dripping on you…"

"Anna," I honestly thought he was going to scold me, "just like you've melted the ice cream, you've also melted my heart. You are such a wonderful and crazy person that I sometimes don't know how I manage deal with you but you made me overcome my stutter and gave me confidence. You make me smile and you make me laugh and I want to be there with you for the rest of eternity. W-will you do me the honour of being my wife?"

His fingers opened a small maroon box and the glistening light on the ring made it look majestic as fuck. My knowledge on rings had not been the broadest but I knew that ring was seriously expensive. Rubies surrounding a tear dropped diamond on a band of silver. How does he find this stuff?

So at that moment, I just kind of smiled this what-the-fuck-just-happened smile and stood stiff like a statue.

"Whoa, what?"

Lame response? I know, and also probably not the preferred response either.

"Will you marry me, Anna, and forever be my one and only?"

"…Yes!"

My answer came a few moments late but it came out, that's all that mattered right? As he slipped on the ring, I started bawling tears and laughing.

Weird right? Nah, apparently it's tradition or something to try and flood the place with tears during proposals.

It slid onto my ring finger with ease and I pondered how the size was so ideal. When we arrived back at home, I asked him where he found such a fitting ring both in the sense that I loved the ring and it fit perfectly on my finger.

Of course, his face started to turn a very red shade of tomato as he explained that he had looked through some catalogues during high school. Apparently he had planned to buy me a necklace for Christmas but when he went to buy it, the shop was closed for the holidays.

"Why does the ring fit so well then? It's so darn perfect, in every single way. Oh, I know, you've been measuring my fingers during my naps!"

"No, I do not measure your fingers in your naps. I got Adelheid to try it on and it was basically a gamble "

Though, I still follow the theory that he did indeed measure my fingers for the ring. I'm sure he doesn't need to know that.

Looking back at that day now, I know that saying yes was probably the best choice in my life. Standing right in front of me is a new beginning.

"…You may now kiss the bride…"

And that, ladies and gentlemen was the start of something amazing.

I hope you guys enjoyed this ffn as much as I enjoyed writing it. ^^Thank you for reading until the end! :)
