Matthew and Peter waited outside Arthur's school with Lili to pick him up, and it just started to pour cats and dogs literally. They were led into the school office waiting, while little Peter regaled to Matthew what he learnt in school that day.

Sitting for what seemed hours they began to worry.

"You think something might've happened?" Matthew pondered, while Lili pawed in circles waiting, also worried.

Finally Arthur appeared hanging his head and hair with his over coat round him.

"Hey there you are." Matthew got up to greet his brother, though… feared him seeing this ravenous aura surround him.

"Yeah what took you so long Artie…?" Even Peter was a little scared.

"Let's just…. Go home." He mumbled, tight faced and grim, petting Lili as the marched home.

Pattering and splashing the flooded streets, he walked condemned. First humiliated in front of the class for sketching that strange dream he had the other day, and not paying attention to the board, and secondly his sketches were stolen by a group of boys who publicized them to everyone, and walked the halls mocked verbally. He dreaded going to school now, thankful it was Friday. And to make things worse, he got defeated in fencing match against the a bully group well known in the academy, a snooty French exchange student, and his little trio of friends. 'Snotty high class brats.' Arthur muttered, holding his shoulder, which underneath his skin went purple from all the areas he got stabbed.

'Mes amis, regard ầ ceci~! Hon hon hon' [My friends, take a look at this.]

' Ooh wow, que tan guapo, jajaja es ese tu novio?!' [ He's handsome, hahaha is he your boyfriend?"

'Just drop it alright?! Give it back!'

'Zen vhy don't you fight us for it? Kesesesese'

Lili sensed a disturbance in her charge, and stayed beside him giving a solemn face and trying to smile at him.

Arthur completely ignored it.

Arriving home as one condemned, Arthur stepped into the front door to find his mother greeting him with a warm smile, seeing him soaked down, and in a melancholic state that alarmed her.

"Velcome…. Home…" Arthur just hung his coat and dragged upstairs slamming the door shut, and nothing else could be heard except a few slams… and then nothing.

"Vhat happened in school?"

"I don't know… he's been like this since we picked him up. I think he came from detention." Matthew exclaimed putting the drenched black umbrella aside and helping Lili remove Peter's coat.

"Detention?!" Mrs. Darling looked up listening to the tormented soul silently keep to himself.

Lil scratched gently on the door, asking to be let in, wagging her tail in alert. Mrs. Darling came upstairs and listened at the door, hearing the boy sob quietly to himself, and frustratingly talking to himself.

"Perhaps we should leave him alone for now." She suggested toward her canine companion, who nodded graciously as they trailed down stairs and began making dinner.

Dinner…unfortunately ended in disaster.

"Zis is unexceptable! Fighting in school, being disobedient to your instructors? Is there something you'd like to discuss with me? What explanation do you 'ave for zis sort of behaviour?" Mr. Darling kept a stern red face, glaring down at Arthur who looked away, until he heard insolence.

"I wasn't being insolent. My teacher told me to solve the problem and I did perfectly. He just got upset that I got the problem right, and didn't fail at it."

"He was upset because you were being disrespectful! Drawing in class, was why he was upset! And to be frank you've been rather strange as of late. Because of this, I'm punishing you. No more writing or drawing till you learn self restraint. Is that clear?!"

Arthur eyed Mr. Darling wide eyed. But that's what he enjoyed doing most. And he'd hadn't done anything wrong at all. He was innocent. He didn't start the fight it was self defense! Irritated and angered, he got up from his chair and turned his back.

And there it just went on and on till finally Arthur said.

"You're not my FATHER ! So stop trying to act like you are!"

Everyone quietly watched the two till finally, Arthur made his way to the nursery and was punished to his room, by Mr. Darling, who almost threatened to throw him out, except Lili stood up against him.

"Zat's it!" He grabbed Lili for standing in his way, and tied her up outside. Pete and Matthew hid behind their mother frightened, never seeing their father this, or Arthur in such a foul temper.

" Children... go see what your brother is up too... I"ll talk to your father..." Mrs. Darling hurried her children inside, and then went to talk to her husband.

It actually turned out that later this evening, they had a business party to attend to, and Roderich was nervous and seeing Arthur snap back, just made things worse.

" ... Elizibeta... I just... I don't know what to do. "

"It's fine... sometimes... we all 'ave bad days. I'll go talk to him. He's just not in a good mood after what 'appened today. You have every right to punish him... but not push him." She suggested, giving a smile.

" Ja,..." He kept some he smiled solemnly back. Perhaps he was just nervous, and went to get dressed for the evening.

Lili felt a little sad sitting there tied up. She cared for her patrons too much, seeing them get punished hurt. So when Mr. Darling left, Mrs. Darling untied her and explained that next time, to just leave it to her, and the dog nodded returning inside.

"Mummy... do you have to go to the party?" Peter sat in his pyjamas.

"I must. He's been asked to perform a piece at the party; your father's going to need encouragement to face his bosses at the bank. I must go. It'll make him feel a little at ease." Mrs. Darling explained helping tuck Peter into bed.

"How long far will you two go?" Matthew asked

"We'll be three blocks down, not far." She reassured kissing Matthew's forehead.

But Arthur kept his silence turned away, still holding a grumpy face while he read his book.

"You will take care of them... won't you?" Mrs. Darling came up to Arthur and rubbed his cheek, he peeked up from his book and softened his grim expression , now over thinking what he'd done.

"Yes, I promise... have fun."

She kissed his forehead; Arthur just groaned but said nothing.

"Try to see, it's not easy growing up I know that, and neither is parenting. Some day you'll understand what I mean." Gently she patted his cheek before turning up the lamps beside their beds.

"Uncle Vash will be downstairs, if you need anything. Please behave, like you always do, my little angels."

"Bye mum." Peter waved , already sleepy while he sipped on his little cup of milk positioning himself to go to sleep.

Grinning she waved, and snuck out the door, the skirt of her green dress trailing along, as she shut the door.

Lili sat in the living room curled up to her mentor and great friend, Vash Darling, who pet her head and went over a few simple tricks to keep her sharp.

"Mein Gott... it's snowing, we'll freeze before we get there."

"Nein nein nein. You'll be just fine. Roderich, you've been to the Alps, it snows there plenty, and this is nothing. If you don't go there and perform, you'll lose a very important opportunity.

"Liebling... you'll be fine, trust me." Elizibeta kissed his cheek, which gave Roderich the spur of confidence he needed. Putting on his top hat, and donning his cane, they stepped outside, upon the white pave.

Arthur couldn't sleep. So he watched out the window to the balcony, stepping out a little with a blanket around him, watching his parents go, and the people walk under yellow pale lights, hidden by the snow.

Clouds shrouded the sky, but still Arthur managed to find, his star through the pale moon light, disguised by mist.

Returning back inside, his eyes caught a glimpse of something move. Closing the window, he went over to examine it... nothing appeared. Perhaps his mind played tricks on him again.

Seeing that no one around, he went to continue his work, getting something else to read till he fell asleep, lightly over the covers.

Now as we look at the room, something already is off. Did Arthur... forget to lock the window? Or did he leave it unlocked... on purpose?

EvilSamDroid9001: So I was going through my old art folders and I found my old artwork for this... I'm so sorry guys that I dropped this story because of my school and everything. My senior year was a dark year and so is this year as well, but it's getting better. I'd like to apologize that this cross over might be terrible (it probably is) XDD I haven't read it in forever. But I think it's time for a decent rewrite. I was already ten chapters in deep, now I've got to finish it.

If anyone who likes this project and where I'm going with it wants to Beta the rewrite, I'd seriously love the input. I need at most two Betas :) Always gotta have that second opinion. PM me if you're interested. Betas can request one piece of artwork from me as thanks for being betas to this story.
