Jeff's eyes widened in surprise. Lita hadn't moved at all. She just stood there looking at him with a surprised look. It dawned to him that she had no plans on pulling back, she was probably a little curious with what he was going to do. He had a chance to kiss and he couldn't do it. Not when she was dating his brother. He sighed and brushed a piece of hair behind her ear, grinning. "I don't dance."
She pouted. He was not sure if she was just kidding around or if she was disappointed with him for not kissing her. She cleared her throat and took a step back, away from him. He hated that. He wanted to be near her. Heat rose to her cheeks and he tried not to notice how embarrassed she looked.
"So.. uh, just practice with Stacy. I gotta go." And just like that she was gone.
Jeff sighed and looked down. He didn't know if he should be mad at her for just suddenly leaving, or at himself for making her leave.
"Smooth Jeff. Really smooth." Adam chimed in.
Added commentary. Exactly what he needed to lower his mood some more. Jeff laughed humorlessly, "She got so close to me. I wasn't ready for it."
Adam rolled his eyes, "How do you expect her to know you like her if you always freeze up on her? She wanted you to kiss her. I seen it on her face-"
"Hey! I seen it first." Stacy interrupted with a eye roll.
Jeff stared with wide eyes. Adam glared at Stacy. "I made her pinky promise she wouldn't tell."
Jeff didn't really care that Stacy knew. If it was that obvious about his crush on Lita, he wondered how the redhead didn't find out yet. She was just so oblivious to things around her, another thing he loved about her. He grinned to himself, knowing that if he listed the things why he loved her, he'll be here all night.
"So you in?" Adam asked.
Stacy nodded with a wicked smirk. "Oh yeah."
"What?"
Stacy walked around him, eyeing him up and down. Jeff squirmed under her gaze. Her size alone was intimidating, so having her circle him like that made him uncomfortable. She stopped in front of him and tilted his head in all angles with her hands, checking something. He stared at her with a confused look, but she was more into his appearance than answering questions.
She finally pulled away and nodded, "You're cute."
He became embarrassed at her sudden boldness. This was not the Stacy he knew, but then again, he never really knew her. Just another one of Trish's friends.
"Now let's go get Lita and have him confess."
"What?" Adam and Jeff asked in sync.
She grabbed both their wrist and led them the way Lita headed. "If we go now we can catch up to her."
"H-hey. I told you about him!" Adam yanked his hand out of her wrist, but she would just grab them and continue to walk.
Stacy squinted lightly and couldn't find Lita. She sighed but continued to drag them along. She turned the corner and nearly bumped into someone.
"Torrie?"
"Hello."
"What are you doing here?" Stacy released her hold.
"I was on a date. But that ended in disaster.."
Stacy had a sudden idea. She stepped behind Jeff and pushed him forward, pushing their bodies together.
"Why don't you use Jeff as a substitute date?"
Torrie raised a brow, but she wasn't against the idea.
"Come on. He's very attractive and he needs a date for the wedding."
Jeff yelped when Stacy wouldn't stop. This girl really was bold. Maybe a little to bold. Adam nearly spoke but she kicked him lightly in the shin. She pushed Adam back and stepped back, "We'll just leave you two alone."
Before anyone could argue, which Jeff would have, she grabbed Adam and ran the opposite direction. Once they were a earshot away, Adam growled. "What the hell was that?"
"That was me helping Jeff out."
"How? I told you he likes Lita, y'know; brown eyes, redhead, tattoo on her arm?"
Stacy rolled her eyes. "I know how she looks!"
"Really? Cause I just seen you set him up with Torrie."
"Call it a trial run okay. We're just using Torrie to see how this date goes. To build up his confidence." Stacy explained.
"And if it goes bad?"
"Then I have no hope for him."
Adam sarcastically laughed. "You're like a ray of sunshine."
Torrie stared awkwardly at Jeff while he looked around, possibly for a way to get out. He sighed in defeat when he could find nothing, or anything to say.
"You don't have to do this you know. I'm fine with you just leaving. I already had a shitty date. There's no way you can make it any worst."
Jeff raised a brow. "Wanna bet?
Her eyes lightened up in interest. "I do actually."
He grinned and grabbed her wrist. "I'm going to give you the worst date in history of worst dates."
She giggled. "I bet you will."
I apologize for not updating. Something just came up..
Sorry for it being short too..
