Rulers of the Night Chapter Eleven
Wow…finally updating...well I don't have school tomorrow so why not? Lol. Let's get to it. :D
Luna sat there in the dark, cold dungeon. She looked around at the blood stains on the floor and the queen of the changelings, weak and helpless.
She knew that what she had done was wrong, but she wasn't willing to just let Chrysalis go off easy. She had her sister somewhere, she had tried to kill her, and hurt Leans Flair.
'Leans Flair…' Luna thought to herself.
She had been cross with him. She had been just terrible and regretted her actions towards him. It's not like she had meant to do that, she just hadn't been thinking. It was like her evil self was coming back.
No…she couldn't let her rage over take her again, even if it wasn't over jealousy and hurt this time, it was still anger and could turn into something awful if Leans Flair hadn't made her come to her senses.
She owed him for that. In fact, she owed him for a lot of things.
He had come to save her, he had come with her to her precious kingdom and hadn't told anypony; even though he could have, and he had got her back to her senses before she ended up doing something too awful for words.
She went over to the weak queen on the dirty dungeon floor and looked down at her. She then crouched down next to her and looked her in the eyes.
"Chrysalis, it doesn't have to be this way. I'm sorry for hurting you so much and I'm sorry that it ended this way…or at least, it seems like it ended this way. We can start anew. We can be friends. All you have to do is take my hoof and call a truce. We will work at finding other food sources for you and your subjects. We can do this…just take my hoof," Princess Luna reached out her hoof and looked at Chrysalis with empathetic eyes.
Chrysalis sneered at her offer, much to Luna's surprise.
"I would rather die a…thousand deaths…than be a part of your filthy little…kingdom," she said with a weak tone, close to not having any more strength left at all. She was going to die.
As much as Luna knew she had tried to help prevent this, she also felt a tad bit guilty. Well, she felt guilty that is until Leans Flair came trotting in the dungeon room, wrapping his hooves around her.
"I'm so proud of you," he said, his eyes closed and his body pressed against Luna's. She closed her eyes as well. They stood there for a few moments, enjoying the latter's warmth and both ponies having this feeling of closure, now that they were in each other's embrace.
He pulled away and kissed her cheek gently, leaving her whole face tingly. She smiled gently and kissed his cheek back, leaving the same feeling and making him feel butterflies.
"I'm so sorry for what I did to you…I-I shouldn't have been so rude to you and I shouldn't have yelled as I did and-"Luna was cut off with Leans Flair's hoof on her lips.
"You tried to fix the problem and therefore, you are fine. I accept your apology, my Luna." Leas Flair saying this made Luna feel those same butterflies.
He had just called her "my Luna." She wanted to giggle like a little school filly but composed herself, knowing she had things she still needed done and remembering who she was.
"I'm glad…I promise to be more careful when dealing with my emotions. I have to keep that demon inside caged…I don't want anypony, and especially not you, getting hurt," Luna said.
"I understand. Now, what do you want to do with Chrysalis and her goons?" Leans Flair asked, quite worriedly.
Luna looked at the goons and Chrysalis and came up with a plan quite quickly.
Luna and Leans Flair looked everywhere but they still couldn't find Princess Celestia. She could've been anywhere! They had probably looked everywhere in Equestria!
They had interrogated the goons as hard as they could, but they had sworn to Luna and Leans Flair that they had no idea where she was and only Queen Chrysalis knew where she was hidden.
The bump in the road with that is that the queen of the changelings had passed out and it didn't seem like she was waking up any time soon, like probably never.
Luna of course felt horrible but in a way, this may have been a good thing. Sure, it perhaps was the end of a species, but maybe Luna could compromise with the other changelings and they could find other ways to live in harmony with one another. Chrysalis seemed to be the biggest thing keeping them from that and her passing on meant new things in Luna's eyes. Maybe changelings could find other ways of reproducing, other than just the queen laying the changeling eggs. She was like a queen bee and them being the workers.
Luna wanted things to be different for them. She wanted to make things right between all species and she thought that maybe, this was the start of it.
She knew she would have to work all this out with her sister…she also wondered if her sister would be proud of her or just curious as to how she had managed to do all this on her own.
Luna was powerful, there was no denying that, however she was the little sister and was nowhere as strong as Celestia. She still had more to learn and far to go before she even came close to reaching her sister's level of magic talent and strength.
This had made Luna jealous and bitter at one point but now, she was just glad she had a big sister at all and at that moment, all she wanted was a hug from her.
She was hoping as hard as she could that Celestia was alright.
At a moment when hope just seemed lost as to finding the lost ruler of Equestria, Luna broke down in tears. She lay in a dark cave, the last place they had been looking for Celestia and just started crying.
Leans Flair looked sadly at the beautiful mare with sympathy is his eyes. He knelt down to her and lifted her head.
"We will find her. I promise you my sweet, sweet Luna. I would go to the ends of Equestria to make you happy and if finding your sister will put a smile back on that beautiful face of yours," Leans Flair put his hoof under Luna's chin and put his nuzzle on hers, "then I will make it happen, my love."
Luna sniffled but smiled a bit. She cuddled him up for a bit. Yes, they cuddled right in that dark and wet cave. It wasn't the most romantic of settings but they were with one another and that was really all that mattered.
Suddenly though, they heard a cry. It sounded like a cry for help. Luna also knew that voice to be her sisters!
CLIFFHANGERS! Well, I'm ending that chapter here. I am evil, remember? XD
Until next chapter and look out for other updates on my other stories. :D
