Another long wait, I know. But I'm trying something knew that should help me focus on my stories and I should have two, or more, updates a week. Each week I'll focus on two of my stories, and on the fourth week I'll go back to the first and start again. Each week will have different stories, so that they all get updated and that non are put on hold or abandoned.

Fawnpaw padded out of the den. It was still vary early, but the snow had stopped falling and every paw step seemed too loud in the silence.

Fawnpaw sat down and watched as Willowpelt and Fireheart emerged from the warriors den.

"It stopped snowing." Fireheart meowed, looking around the snowy camp. Willowpelt nodded.

A rustling noise sounded as Tigerclaw and Runningwind pushed their way out of the den.

Tigerclaw padded towards Fawnpaw, and Fireheart glared at the tom. Fawnpaw again wondered what her mentor had done to make her brother so mad.

"We will be practicing fighting today." Tigerclaw told her. He was about to say something else when he lifted his head as though he had smelled something.

Fawnpaw looked towards the camp entrance just in time to see a cat rushing towards them. The cat carried the scent of Windclan.

Tigerclaw arched his back and hissed as a young brown tabby tom burst into the clearing. The warrior skidded to a halt in front of them, his eyes filled with dread. "Shadowclan and Riverclan!" He gasped. "They're attacking our camp! We're out numbred and fighting for our lives. Tallstar refuses to be driven off this time. You must help or my clan will be wiped out!"

Bluestar bounded from her den. All eyes turned from the Windclan cat to her. "I heard." SHe meowed, then jumped onto the Highrock. She yowled for her Clan to gather, and within moments everyone was waiting for her to say something. Bluestar began, "There is no time to waste. It's as we feared- Shadowclan and Riverclan have joined together, and now they're attacking the Windclan camp. We must help them." Bluestar paused and looked down at her Clan, the brown tabby standing next to her with wide, hopeful eyes.

"But we are leaf-bare- weak!" protested Patchpelt. " taken a risk for Windclan once before. Let them take care of themselves this time." A few murmurs of agreement rose from the elders and queens, but Fawnpaw stayed silent.

It was Tigerclaw who answered, stepping forward to stand next to Bluestar. "You're right to be cautious, Patchpelt. But if Shadowclan and Riverclan have untied, it is only a matter of time before they turn on us. It's better we fight now, with Windclan, then later, alone!"

Patchpelt closed his eyes and lifted his tail, accepting Tigerclaw's words.

Yelowfang pushed her way forward and spoke quietly to Bluestar. "I think you should remain behind in camp, Bluestar. The fever from the greencough may have gone, but you'll still be weak." The two cast exchanged a look that Fawnpaw didn't understand. But from seeing her brother stiffen, she knew that Fireheart understood right away.

Bluestar nodded briskly, "Tigerclaw, I want you to organize two parties, one to head the attack, one to back it up. We need to get there as fast as we can!"

"Yes Bluestar." Tigerclaw turned to the warriors. "Whitestorm, you'll head the second party; I'll head the first. I'll take Darkstripe, Mousefur, Longtail, Dustpelt, and Fireheart."

Fawnpaw noticed that Fireheart lifted his head as Tigerclaw called his name, looking excited. But Fawnpaw couldn't help but worry for her brother.

"You!" Tigerclaw called to the tabby tom. "What's your name?" The Windclan cat looked startled by Tigerclaw's tone.

Fireheart answered instead, "Onewhisker."

Tigercalw nodded, "Onewhisker, you'll be in my party. The rest of the warriors will join Whitestorm. You too, Brackenpaw." He paused. "Are we ready?" the warriors raised their heads and let out a battle cry. Tigerclaw charged for the gorse tunnel, and the rest followed.

Fawnpaw watched as the last cat left. Then she turned and padded over to Goldenflower, who was sitting outside the nursery.

"You look worried." Goldenflower meowed as Fawnpaw sat down next to her. "Don't worry, Fireheart will be fine. He's a strong cat who had a good mentor."

Fawnpaw nodded and looked around the camp for Cloudkit. But she froze as she noticed that he wasn't in the camp clearing. She poked her head into the nursery to see if he was there. He wasn't.

Fawnpaw growled and started to walk toward the camp entrance. "Where are you going?" Goldenflower called from behind her.

Fawnpaw stoped, "I think Cloudkit left camp again." She told the other queen.

"I'll come with you." Goldenflower offered, but stood up and padded forward. The queen opened her mouth to taste the air. "Yes, he left with Fernkit and Ashkit." She nodded, and ran out of the entrance.

Fawnpaw sprinted to keep up, anger and worry both mixing inside her as she thought of the three tiny kits following the patrols to the battle. They could get hurt, or worse, they could die! She knew it was against the code to hurt kits, but she couldn't help but worry. Who knew what the other Clans do?

But the worry went away almost immediately. Right outside the camp, she saw the three little kits trying to climb up the ravine.

"Cloudkit!" She called, rushing past Goldenflower and climbing up to him. "What are you doing?" She growled.

"Following the patrol..." Clouldkit's eyes widened and he looked afraid. He backed up a little, bumping into the two other kits as he did.

"Come on, lets go back to camp." Fawnpaw turned around and began to climb back down. She looked back to see that Cloudkit hadn't moved from his spot.

"But Fireheart told me that we would fight side by side!" Cloudkit protested.

Fawnpaw took a deep breath, trying not to show her rising frustration. "And you will one day." She promised. "But not today." She padded over and picked him up by the scruff. "Come on, back to camp." She meowed around a mouthful of fluffy white fur.

Cloudkit fell limp in her jaws as she padded back to camp. Goldenflower followed behind, making sure the other two don't sneak away or wander off again.

WHen Fawnpaw reached the nursery, she dropped him in his nest and glared down at him.

Cloudkit looked back up at her before quickly looking away.

"You're going to stay here until I tell you it's okay to come out, got it?" Fawnpaw said loudly, looking down at her son through narrowed eyes. He had to learn sometime! He can't just go out of camp when ever he wanted to. "If you don't, I can always have a talk with Bluestar."

"No!" Cloudkit gasped, looking back up at her with wide eyes. "Please don't! I'll stay here, I promise. I won't leave camp again."

"I'm sure you wont." Fawnpaw turned and left the den. She sat down outside and sank to the ground. She began to wash her fur, and as she did the feeling of frustration and anger slowly left. Instead, she silently wondered why her kit just wouldn't follow the code. It wasn't that hard. Why must he leave camp and get him, and his friends in trouble.

She pushed her thoughts away and focused on grooming instead.

It was the day after the battle. She had been relived when Fireheart had came back to the Clan with Graystripe at his side. Graystripe and Fireheart seemed to have somehow gotten their friendship back during the battle, and even though Fawnpaw was curious about what happened, she knew not to ask.

Again, as she sat in the camp clearing in the dawn light, Tigerclaw padded up to her. "We are going battle training today. We need to make up what we didn't get done yesterday."

Fawnpaw nodded and stood up. She followed him out of camp, up the snowy ravine, and to the training hollow.

"Okay, come at me." Tigerclaw stood in front of her.

"Just attack you?" Fawnpaw asked, sounding a little confused. Why wasn't she going to learn any special battle moves first? Wasn't that what they did?

"Yes. Attack me." Tigerclaw nodded.

Fawnpaw paused, then leapt. She lunched herself right at him, but before she could understand what had happened, the ground rushed up to meet her.

She hissed, standing back up. She shook out her now dirty fur and turned to glare at her mentor. She was standing where he had been a moment ago. Tigerclaw must have ducked out of the way.

Tigerclaw was looking down at her in amusement. "Don't give our enemy time to be ready." He told her. "Also, you shouldn't go strait at them. Come from the side to make it harder for them, and easier for you."

Fawnpaw nodded and looked at the spot she was going to land. Quickly, she jumped at him again, not giving him time to think. She leapt to his right and swung a paw at him. But again, he had ducked away.

This time, Tigerclaw had ducked down and forward, knocking Fawnpaw back. Fawnpaw slipped and lost her footing, falling back to the ground. As she stood, Tigerclaw said, "Your eyes showed where you where going to land. Be quicker, and don't give away your plans."

Fawnpaw nodded and turned to stand in front of the dark tabby again. She leapt to the right again, and as fast as possible, she flashed out her paw and hit the side of his head.

Tigerclaw turned toward her and stood up on his hindlegs. He swung with his strong paws. Fawnpaw ducked, eyes wide. But as she ducked, Tigerclaw dropped back onto four paws, his front paws pushing into her spine and forcing her to the ground.

She felt the breath being forced out of her. Fawnpaw struggled to turn and kick him away with her backlegs. He backed up and looked at Fawnpaw without any emotion. Not even his eyes showed what he was thinking. "Better." Tigerclaw said, nodding. "Lets work on some moves."

He padded up to her side and said, "This one is easy. All you have to do is swipe your paw at your opponent." He flashed out a paw, and raked his claws through the air. "But since this is training, don't use your claws. You don't want to accidently hurt your own Clan mate."

Fawnpaw nodded and tried to copy him, lashing out with her right paw quickly.

"You're swiping sideways." Tigerclaw shook him head impatiently. "You want to go strait down for the most damage."

Fawnpaw nodded as tried it again, making sure that she did it exactly as he said. She practiced it a few move times before Tigerclaw decided that she should try something else.

"The first thing you must learn is defense." Tigerclaw told her. "It's more important then hurting your enemies. If they pin you down, it could all be over. Now, watch this. It's a simple move." He dipped his head, twisted, and rolled over before jumping back to his paws. "You try it."

Fawnpaw nodded. She narrowed her eyes as she tried the move. When she jumped back up, she looked at the brown tabby to see if she had done it correctly.

"Good." Tigerclaw nodded. "A little slow, but that'll get better with more practice. Let's try a few more moves." He showed her a few moves, and Fawnpaw coppied them. Sometimes she would trip or stumble, but she would get it better the next time.

"Let's try something else." Tigerclaw suggested. "Try to get past me any way you can."

Fawnpaw took a few steps back. Her eyes flashed over the warrior's shoulder to where she would have to reach, before looking back at him.

She hesitated before running at him. He got down low, ready if she stepped to the side at the last second. But instead, she leapt up into the air and landed behind him.

Tigerclaw turned to look at her. "Good, I wasn't expecting that." He blinked a few times before saying, "Now," He straitened. "You've done well for a Kittypet. Tomorrow we will try to add those new moves into a fight. But for now, go hunt for the elders and take the redt of the day off."

Done. :) Please review!
