CHAPTER FOUR- Secrets

She sat silently in one of the bell towers as she watched over the church lost deep in her thoughts. 'I cannot believe that moron knows my secret… yet alone I can't believe he knows why I fell and since I was watching over him it's pretty obvious… I guess leaving the manuscript there made things a lot easier, if anything I expected Castor to find it.' She sighed quietly as she started singing to herself.

"Out of the fire pull me in to your ocean out of desire pull me in

Bury me deep in your waves of commotion silence the fire within

Your siren's calling it's so inviting your battle cries are hypnotizing

I'm under your spell from heaven to hell the in between is so enticing

Hold me down bring me peace again hold me under take me with you to the bitter end hold me under"

Frau had been snooping around with a perverted book when he heard the haunting song. Looking in the direction of the bell tower his eyes narrowed as a smirk crossed his face. "That little idiot clearly doesn't know she can be heard… but who knew she could sing like this anyway?" he mumbled to himself knowing she would die of embarrassment when he commented. She literally fed him the ammunition he never had and made things so much easier for him. He was well aware the minute he complimented her she would get flustered.

"Heavy my heart with your wish for survival tear me apart in your type

Swallow me whole fill my lungs with revival quiet the chaos inside

Your siren's calling it's so inviting your battle cries are hypnotizing

I'm under your spell from heaven to hell the in between is so enticing

Hold me down bring me peace again hold me under take me with you to the bitter end hold me under

Hold me down bring me peace again hold me under

From my salvation the raging waters flooding into me in your temptation your quiet thunder breaks me overtakes me

Hold me down bring me peace again hold me under take me with you to the bitter end hold me under

Hold me down bring me peace again hold me under take me with you to the bitter end hold me under"

As she finished singing she pouted bringing her knees to her chest. Though few of her secrets had been revealed she would make sure no one found out of her loyalty she had to Ayanami. She had severed all ties with him, but she too knew a secret about the silver haired man. She looked down as the villagers slowly left the church yard and smiled to herself, "Even through everything they continue to believe, rather amazing."

"That's what it is to have true faith." Frau stood behind her watching the group leaving below.

"Do you make it an effort to follow me around this place? After all it is massive and has plenty of places to go." She didn't even bother to look at him.

"I heard you singing." He deadpanned as he looked at her.

She sweat dropped as she looked up at him, her expression twisted with some kind of mild horror as she did. She hadn't realized how loud she was when she sang and it wasn't exactly the kind of song to sing in such a place. She felt her cheeks heat up and she stood and glared at him. "You weren't supposed to hear that you idiot!"

Frau watched as she dropped from the ledge, the setting sun glinting off her wings as she flew away over the church, remaining hidden from the view of the guests that were leaving. She was a sight to behold. Yet he couldn't shake the feeling that she was avoiding him, or trying her very best to. He had managed so far to read her like an open book. It was simple she had fallen for him figuratively and literally but why hide it when he knew she was aware he knew.

Serenity felt her heart racing as she managed to find a ledge to sit on where she couldn't be bothered. He figured her out far too easily for her to feel comfortable near him. She sighed as she dropped again landing elegantly in one of the many gardens. It was too soon for him to know but she couldn't do anything about that. Her second issue was him been a bishop. She frowned as she looked at Labrador's roses; even though she had fallen he more or less had to behave because of his position the church, but then she remembered his perverted books and irked.

"Why the hell does it bother me so damn much!? They just stupid books!" she half yelled ruffling up her hair in frustration. She gave a loud frustrated sigh as she passed a fountain staring at her reflection. "Where do I even start…" she watched herself carefully before deciding a trip to the city was needed the next day.

"That's it I will do that I have seen enough pictures to know exactly what I need to get his attention." She smirked to herself victoriously before quietly walking to her room.

She opened her trunk in the corner of her room looking at all the things she managed to buy and stash clothing wise. She pulled out a leather bag smirking at the camera it held. "This will definitely do." She chuckled as she checked it. She had a plan that would be the perfect revenge on that bishop.

Frau sat in his room comfortably with one of his books, a light flush on his cheeks as he paged through it slowly taking in the details of each women. He couldn't lie to himself they were all good looking and each one had potential but they didn't appeal to him the way they usually would have. He looked up at the moon from his window looking towards where her room was situated curious as to what she was doing. Her song, her voice, both had his mind in turmoil though he stubbornly refused to show it. "Hmmm… those words of that song she sang." He looked back up at the moon before closing his book and settling in for the night. His tattoo hurting more than what it should have been. Something wasn't making sense and he was well aware of it, it was unusual for it to hurt as it was. "Damn you just have to choose today to give me grief." He mumbled as he lit a cigarette and took a deep drag.

Serenity had completely lost track of time as she walked out the shower and stretched her wings. She sighed as she looked at the rising sun. It had been a long and creative night and her she knew her revenge on that bishop would be a glorious one to witness. She glanced over at the neatly bound book she had made and chuckled before slipping it in an envelope placing one specific picture she had taken on top.

A/N: disclaimer! The song used is called out of the fire by digital daggers… this song will be the inspiration for the next few chapters to come :D
