EDIT: (12/8/2015) I would make a joke about how long it's been since I've done anything relating to this site, but by the date here and the one below... yeah, let's move on from that.

So, currently trying to get back in the swing of things writing wise. I'm trying to find a beta author to help me take DSS and HDify it (I'm sticking to that term). So that's happening. I'm also gonna try and avoid writing backwards form now on. As least until I feel my skill as a writer is ready for it. Because as we've all learned, except if you're George Lucas apparently, it takes GREAT skill to write backwards. And even then it's fighting an uphill battle.

Currently, trying to make it through finals and even more life drama. I'm also trying to actually be a good co-author and keep up with my extremely patient friend, Shotgun Steve; and...

THE SEQUEL TO DIFFERENT SIMPLE SOUL HAS... A teaser now. But at this point, other then life and whatnot, I'd really like to try cranking out chapters for that. Expect at hopefully the latest the first chapter of Different Time to Say Goodbye to arrive by the end of RWBY volume 3.

Still uncertain whether or not I will be doing any other works on this site. Truth be told, I'm currently trying to get a crap-ton of original pieces out and published as books. It's... not as exciting as it sounds.

EDIT: (1/20/2015) Decided to let on what is happening with DSS. Both Spin offs will be done and worked on whenever I have time and feel like working on them. Currently as of this edit, the series prequel is currently underway again, "Summer to Fall", and that will be making more headway soon-ish.

The other spin off, which I'm now calling "Living Hatred", will also be started... whenever I suppose. As of writing this, I'm still unsure on where the story will go. I have a general idea, but its going to require some more thought.

And finally, I've decided to have a little segment of "Another Day Under the SSSN" as a bonus chapter to this story. The reasons being: 1. To help encourage going and reading the rest of that little expansion. And 2. to give something extra to DSS.

I still haven't decided what else I could do on the site. Though I am looking around. Everything has just been slowing to a crawl because of schooling and the like.

Okay. Wow. Where do I begin?

It has been a very long road to finishing this story. My first real story I've ever finished, and published really.

Originally, DSS was supposed to be a test of some of my writing skills, and me trying to experience criticism outside of family and friends. It made sense to start with something like a fanfiction, RWBY in particular because it's one of the things I'm into now, since honestly I'm still not confident enough with my original works yet.

But really, DSS has become something else to me. Like all works of mine, it fell into the curse of me putting my heart into it. I thought about future character development and changes, original characters that could fit into the RWBY universe (keeping with the story and fantasy theme), and just generally over-thinking this world I've created (Though let's be honest, all credit goes to Monty and the RT team).

Looking back now, I think I've improved and learned so much from this experience. I've meet so many cool and interesting people through this site and this story alone! It's honestly incredible, and I can't help but thank everyone involved that helped me make this project a reality.

I'd like to thank:

-Mom and Dad- for always being supportive in helping me do better and aim for my dreams.

-Will- for being an early support to drive me into continuing past just chapter 1 and generally indulging me as a nerd. (Seriously man, you're awesome. Don't ever let others make you think different!)

-Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum- for giving us fun content and giving me basis for the Different Simple Soul universe. (It is their stuff after all. Which by the way, I claim no ownership over RWBY or any Rooster Teeth content. This is purely a fan work.)

-My absolutely fantastic editor (who early on asked to be unnamed)- I absolutely had to give my amazing editor credit. He took a lot of his own time out to help me later on in DSS to help me turn it into the much better written story it is now. (THANK YOU!)

Anyways, as for future projects... uh... Well, I'm not sure. Honestly, I'm torn between taking a possibly long break from the site to focus on other works, continuing onto the two spinoff works I had plan, going into book two, or just trying out a different universe on this site. I'd be down with all of them, and I am gonna have to think about... but that's neither here nor there. I'd love to hear other opinions... though it's ultimately gonna have to be my choice.

...Eh, whatever. I don't think there's anything else to talk about. I decided to leave out that non-cannon bonus chapter I was gonna stick onto the end, (simply because it wasn't that good to begin with).
