Latest chapter of The Black Lotus, hope you like it. Enjoy and review! I'm sorry to keep you waiting but I am currently composing two fanfictions, this and Tough Choices and this one was particularly hard to write, I kept going back to make changes because to me this is a rather important chapter. On the plane
Jack woke up with Kim asleep on his chest, he looked up and saw that the others were eating breakfast and laughing about something quietly then they noticed he was awake.
"Morning Jack." Rudy said still smirking
"Morning. Why are you all smiling?" Jack replied
"No reason."
"What?"
"The reason is asleep on your chest." Milton said
"What's wrong with that?"
"Nothing." They all said smiling even more
"Tell me."
"When Jerry was awake last night and he heard a conversation and told us all about it." Rudy replied as Jerry looked away near laughter
"Jerry!" Jack said quietly shouting. But this caused Kim to stir.
"Careful now Jack. Don't want to wake the girl who loves you... and you love as well." Jerry joked
"Wait! You never said anything about love. What did you say to each other Jack?"
"Kim told me she loved me and I said it back to her."
"Awwww." Rudy and Milton said which made Kim stir and wake up
"Thanks guys." Jack said sarcastically
"No, I would've wanted to wake up." Kim replied sleepily still resting her head on his chest
"Not in the middle of their conversation." Jack replied staring at Jerry still
"Why? What were they talking about Jack?"
"Jerry was awake last night."
"Oh." Kim said "Were they laughing about it then?"
"Yes."
"Okay." Kim said calmly "Aaargh!" Kim then said getting off Jack and tackling Jerry to the ground spilling his breakfast. Jack got up and grabbed Kim off Jerry by her waist and hauled her backwards while Milton held Jerry back and Rudy stood between them.
"No fighting!" Rudy said "On a plane, on this trip, at all!"
"Yes Rudy." Kim and Jerry replied then Jerry walked away ranting in spanish
"Jerry, come back. We need to plan what we're going to do." Milton said
"How?" Replied Jerry sitting down in the seat furthest away from Kim
"When I was on my laptop I tried to find out about them."
"And?" Kim asked hopeful
"And nothing, no records that I can find."
"They're very good." Jack said who was sitting where he was sitting before with Kim but on his own this time "All their clients are afraid to rat them out. The Black Lotus uses secrecy, power and fear to scare whoever has heard of them. They are my worst fear... not clowns."
"Do you want to join us Jack?" Kim asked with Jack nodding in reply and walking to sit next to Kim
"So what are we going to do?" Rudy asked
"I say we go to the hotel after landing in the airport and we find out their location and spy on them for a bit then we infiltrate their headquarters, find Jack's grandfather and leave before they knew we were there. What do you think?" Said Milton
"Just one problem. We won't be able to find their headquarters, if you can't even find them on the internet. No one goes to their headquarters unless they take you there." Jack replied "Then how did your Grandfather know where to go to rescue you?" Jerry asked
"They were chasing him for months, maybe years. Every time they invited him to join they sent their address for him to meet them. When I was taken, he went there and saw their pickup stop and jumped on which took him to their headquarters." Jack said "And if you're thinking that I must've seen the place when my grandfather took me out. The answer to that would be I was too traumatized to know where I was and my grandfather told me that they change location every so often to keep from getting caught." When Jack finished the others were silent
"What do you think we should do then Jack?" Asked Kim squeezing his hand
"I don't know but what I do know is that we should go to the hotel from the airport then decide what the plan is then."
"I think that's a good idea." Kim then asked "How much longer do we have until we're there?"
"Half an hour to an hour." Milton replied checking his watch
"I'm going to go sleep." Jerry said
"Did you not get enough last night because of all the spying you did?" Kim replied
"No." Jerry said guiltily the walked away to a comfortable chair
"I'm going to research some more things." Milton said getting up
"I'm going to order another plate of shrimp puffs."
"Rudy, you just had breakfast." Milton said looking over his laptop
"So? It's Bobby's jet and yesterday he told me to help myself."
"In what context?"
"Technically to a trophy but I'm sure he meant this as well."
"Jack, what do you want to do?" Kim asked
Jack shrugged but then everyone heard Jerry make fun of them under his breath saying "Kiss." which was when Kim leapt forward and tried to attack him again but once again Jack grabbed her by the waist before she could.
"Kim." Rudy warned "Jerry!"
"Fine!" They both said at the same time
"So, we have some time until we land... what do you want to do?"
"Well I would've preferred Jerry's suggestion but I don't think you want to give him the satisfaction of being right, do you?" Jack joked
"You haven't joked without being sarcastic since what happened. And I wouldn't Jerry being right if it means we can kiss like that again." Kim said smiling making Jack smile and chuckle
"You sure?" Jack mocked
"Just kiss me." And Jack gave the response that Kim asked for. "Thanks."
"No problem." Jack smiled
For the rest of the journey until they saw the airport, it remained the same. Jerry slept, Milton did research on his laptop and occasionally looked up from the screen to ask a question then continue typing or just to do a sweep around the room, and Rudy just ate shrimp puffs and watched shows on Bobby's flat screen TV. When they spotted the airport from the windows of the aeroplane, they all began to get ready. Their hearts raced, their hands were shaky, their nervousness was shown as easily as Milton's intelligence or Jerry's lack of it.
"Ready?" Jack asked Kim as they stepped off the plane
"Yes." Kim nodded
"Are you guys sure you made the right decision?" Jack asked everybody this time
"Jack, we're behind you no matter what." Rudy said patting Jack on the back
"Yo, Jack. We're family and we stick together."
"And protect each other." Milton said
"When we need each other the most." Kim said slipping her fingers between Jack's making him turn and smile.
"Thanks guys." Jack replied
"We're with you regardless." Milton said
"What he said." Said Jerry
Jack inhaled and sighed loudly saying "Let's go and get it over with then." then stepped out into the sun not knowing what was going to happen next but then again none of them did.
As they made their way to the passport control, Kim asked Jack to put his hood up as he promised he would if they were in public and Jack reluctantly did so with Jerry saying that she was being paranoid and nearly got punched in the face again. When Jack was next to be checked, he handed his passport and the man there said in english "Thank you Jack." The shocked Jack stared at this man who he had never seen before and before looking at his passport knew his name. Jack realised what was happening.
They had already found him.
After the man gave Jack back his passport he smiled and turned to Kim who was next in the queue. She smiled as if nothing was wrong, and carried on being checked. Jack turned around so Kim wouldn't be able to see how worried he was and kept looking round the room until Kim came up behind and surprised him.
"Hey are you okay Jack?"
"They're here." Was all Jack replied with and Kim's smile faded away and was replaced with fear and worry
"What do we do?" Kim whispered
"I don't know. Wait until the others come over." And as Jack said that Milton and Jerry walked over and Rudy shortly followed
"They're here." Kim told them and their facial expressions turned the same as Kim's did
"Jack, what do we do?" Milton asked
"I don't know." Jack said "Let me think."
"Just let him think man. Let him think!" Jerry said nearly shouting at Milton
"Calm down Jerry." Rudy said, he was about shout what Jerry did to Milton but Kim stopped him
"Okay, it's not brilliant but it might work." Jack said
"What is it?"
"We all split up and make our way to the exit. Once we're all there we'll get a ride to the hotel."
"I think it's good enough since we don't have enough time to come up with one." Milton replied
"I'll go with Jack." Kim said
"I think we should all go separately." Jack suggested
"No Jack. I know what you're like, you'll let them find you so we won't get caught." Kim protested "One of us needs to stick with and make sure you don't do anything stupid or brave. Not that there's a difference between them."
"Come on Kim, we both know it's me they want and if they know how important you all are to me then they'll stop at nothing to get you too."
"So guys, Jerry, Milton and Rudy. You three go separately to get to the exit, one of you need to get our bags." Kim said "Wait no forget the bags, we can get new clothes if needed."
"Kim-" Jack began taking his hood off
"Jack, come on. We need to do this quickly." Kim interrupted "Good luck guys." Kim said to the others before they split up in three different ways
"Come on Jack." Kim said
"Fine." Jack agreed putting his hood back up
They then started walking quickly through the airport avoiding people's attention which usually was easy unless you're with Bobby where as then it's impossible but luckily Bobby was all the way back in America. Kim held Jack hand tightly so he couldn't attempt to slip away from her. As Jack's shoulder brushed a man, the man whispered in his ear and squeezed hard on his arm.
"Come with me and your friends won't be involved."
Jack stopped when hearing this making Kim pull at his hand but suddenly Jack couldn't feel Kim's hand anymore. Jack turned around and couldn't see the man anymore. He kept turning around to try and spot them in the crowd and suddenly he saw each of his friends held the same way he was by a member of the Black Lotus.
The member who had grabbed him earlier came up to him and said in chinese "I asked you to come didn't I? If you agree to come now silently then your friends won't be involved like I said. However, if you choose not to come or attempt to get away then we will take your friends by force as well as you and we will force you to watch us shoot your friends."
"I'll come."
There you go, I hope you enjoyed that chapter as it took forever to write and I'm sorry for not updating soon enough but I had this major English Exam on Macbeth and Frankenstein to do which is worth a big part of my GCSE.
