Mitsuki was discharged from the hospital and walked slowly through the village, no real destination in mind. Her mother was under the impression that she had fainted during a "training exercise", which though not entirely true, was a fact Mitsuki would allow her to continue to believe.

She walked on aimlessly, preoccupied with the events from the day before. She tried to forget the effects of the genjutsu. The fear she felt was like nothing she had ever experienced and it scared her.

Her sensei was an enigma in itself. Her parents didn't speak about him the way many residents did, but she had still heard the rumors. The sole survivor of a massacred clan. Deserter of Konoha. The last possesor of the Sharingan. From her experiences the previous day she was behinning to understand quite clearly why most people preferred to keep Uchiha Sasuke at an arms length.

Her new teammates did not instill much self confidence in the young girl. It was obvious that they were strong. Where Mitsuki was just barely average at everything in the academy her two new teammates had been the two top picks, shining in most aspects of the academy. She couldn't remember which managed to claim the title "Rookie of the Year". Though she did recall how angry Ayahi had been when it was announced and she realized that she had justmissed claiming the title herself. Mitsuki thought to herself that her outgoing, competitive friend was much better suited to the team than she was. Perhaps there was some sort of mistake.

Distracted by her thoughts she didn't notice the Anbu that appeared before her and she proceeded to walk straight into the elite ninja.

She bowed her head and started, "I'm so sorr—" she paused, realizing she had just been so clumsy as to bump into someone who could most certainly kill her and make it look like an accident on a moments notice. She bowed lower and made more fervent her apologies.

The pale, emotionless mask only made the other ninja more imposing as she waved off the apologies of the young girl like a fly to be swatted away. She then in a somewhat short tone she said, "Himura Mitsuki. An important meeting of Team 2 is to be held today at the Uchiha training fields. Attendance is mandatory."

In her flurry to not be potentially assassinated by an angry Anbu Mitsuki quickly bowed her head again, with a respectful, "Hai". When she looked back up the elite shinobi had disappeared. It was then that it occurred to her that she hadn't been told a time.

Panting after running the distance to the abandoned, isolated former training fields of the Uchiha clan Mitsuki arrived second to last. She got a disinterested glance from Gin and a hesitant smile from Yuu. She leaned tiredly against a post. The Anbu silently criticized all three students. Her work was cut out for her because truth be told she did not have much confidence in the abilities of the Uchiha man when it came to molding the next generation even if she could acknowledge his great battle prowess.

A few minutes later the man in question appeared, walking slowly hands again shoved in the pockets of his jounin uniform. Uchiha Sasuke had no one to impress. He didn't greet the children and looked pointedly at the Anbu woman, making clear that he did not call this meeting.

She started, hardly able to keep the contempt from her voice, "Hello children, since we have a—unique situation here the Hokage has assigned me as an auxiliary aid. Though Uchiha-san is your true sensei I will observe and when I deem the situation appropriate take action in your affairs." When saying the word "action" it became clear to Sasuke that this woman was going to be a long term annoyance if he couldn't get the team to quit.

She continued to say, "Why don't you introduce yourselves?" a common step in the process that Sasuke had neglected the day before in exchange for his lovely test.

She pointed at Yuu. "You first." The dark haired boy looked hesitant but a glare from Sasuke and the silence of the Anbu made him quickly start. "My name is Uchiha Yuu. I like training and learning new things. I dislike people who are unnecessarily cruel. In the future I want to be a good shinobi and protect the village.

The Anbu nodded and pointed at Gin. Sasuke retained a disinterested look. He started without the hesition of Yuu. "I'm Hatake Gin. I like strong people. I dislike assholes and weak people. I want to become the best."

The masked woman gestured last to Mitsuki, she began, "I'm Himura Mitsuki. Umm—I like spending time with my friends. I dislike—well—I dislike- I don't know. I want to keep my friends safe and make my parents proud of me."

"Wonderful. Well now that that's out of the way we can asses your skills. You can call me Sei-sensei—"

Sasuke began to walk away. "Excuse me." the woman called, this time allowing the irritation to seep into her voice, "Where do you think you're going?"

He didn't turn around, instead calling over his shoulder, "I have already assessed them. Why should I stay?"

"Your 'assessment' was hardly appropriate. If you won't do it properly then I will." she said it like a threat.

"Feel free, Sei-san," he used the honorific mocking as he continued to walk off. The three genin stood there awkwardly, like children witnessing an argument between parents. Yuu shuffled his feet and all three kept their eyes averted.

"Fine. I will. And the Hokage will be hearing about this," Sei responded, frustration evident in her voice.

Sasuke left, ignoring her threat. He could give a damn about what the Hokage would be hearing. He hadn't want this team in the first place. However, he was still slightly curious and remained hidden in the trees while the Anbu babysitter tested his charges. He thought perhaps she noted his presence from the way she would occasionally glance over her back sensing something but the children were quite oblivious. She had them throw kunai and shuriken and practice sparring amongst other basic ninja skills.

He silently examined them himself and realized it might have been useful to glance at those files Kakashi had brought. It was clear that Hatake Gin was their best in close combat, he was strong and durable. He could move fast and possessed intelligence that seemed to be overpowered by some recklessness. Yuu was faster and possesed better weapons accuracy but lacked the silver haired boys strength and stamina. Comparatively the third and sole female teammate was a failure. Her small stature gave her speed but she lacked any great strength or accuracy. She would need the most work.

Sasuke left them, still working with the Anbu, an idea forming in his mind. For the first time in a while it was he that was seeking out Naruto, rather than the other way around.

A/N: Slightly longer than usual. I'm trying :D. Hope you guys like it, tell me your thoughts!:) Also the Anbu codename Sei in my head is actually a canon character(At least that's what I plan)
