Tsunade's shrill voice rang through his head as Sasuke recalled this morning's latest tongue lashing, paying little attention as his genin team chased after someone's lost cat, their first assigned mission.

"Uchiha" she scolded, "You're performance as a jonin leader is displeasing me."

The dark haired ninja scoffed, making it clear he could care less about "displeasing" her, but remained silent.

"I have enough problems to worry about," she continued, equally apathetic in his lack of response, "Than hearing about what a pathetic sensei you have been." He knew that she was trying to incite a reaction from him, from the half smile that flit across her face on the word "pathetic".

"It's not my fault they're such a pathetic group," he responded, shrugging off her insult skillfully.

"Pathetic or not, I thought we'd discussed the situation," she smiled, "You do remember our talk, don't you, Sasuke, my dear?"

Her earlier threats about his possible exile and Itachi ran through his mind as he nodded with a "Hn," suppressing the urge to call her a manipulative bitch to her face.

Standing, hands as usual shoved in his pockets, his internal tirade against the Hokage was interrupted by the curious faces of his three students, "S-Sensei," the girl started, the wriggly cat trying to escape her grip. The arms and faces of all three marked by the telltale claws. He glared, as if to ask why she dare disturb him, not missing the way her skinny arms shook in response, nearly causing her to drop the thing, "We caught the cat." Hatake Gin finished for her.

Without warning he launched three kunai at each genin laughing as they scampered away to dodge. All three were only nicked, seriously injuring them would only land him in more hot water with the Hokage, and the cat was dropped, quickly scurrying away to the nearest bushes. "Catch it again." he ordered, a sadistic smile upon his face.

The exercise continued until they could successfully dodge his watered down attacks without losing hold of the cat. At the end three tired out genin, littered with scratches sustained from both the cat and their sensei, handed the source of half their aggravation back to its grateful owner. The other half still remained and ordered them to take a break before "Team Two's Daily Evening Training Session"

Sasuke walked to Ichiraku Ramen in his usual nonchalant manner, used to the stares that assuaged him on a daily basis. Naruto and Shikamaru were already waiting expectantly, both wondering why he had arranged the meeting.

Sasuke sat down and ordered, enjoying look of suppressed anticipation that graced his pesky former teammates face. Naruto was dying to ask why he had wanted to talk, a rather unexpected course of action from the usually solitary man. It was Shikamaru who broke the filled silence with a bored, "So what do you want, Sasuke?" the clever Nara clan member asked, knowing Sasuke didn't arrange social interaction just for the fun of it.

"I've got an idea for a training camp, for the brats," he said coolly, pretending not to notice the surprised looks on their faces.

"That sounds great!" Naruto exclaimed before Sasuke could provide anymore detail, "I can finally show off my precious genin."

"What exactly did you have in mind?" Shikamaru asked, deciding whether or not he should bother getting involved with those two. He asked a few more questions before finally agreeing, though not without a sigh, thinking about how potentially troublesome it could be.
