OH! OH! HERE WE GO! Okay so I got this idea like a month ago and the time has come to put it to action! Here we go! Koo koo kachoo!
They found Espier dead yesterday. Light and I were the only ones seemingly unfazed. I would never publicly admit this but Espier was getting under my skin, that is before he went silent. For some reason he stopped talking to me. Still the time we were friends meant a lot to me. He was my first real companion. It was almost as if we shared a secret, but I know that isn't right. But now Espier is deceased and there is only Light. The fact is he shows less emotion than I do, me, Kidd Lelliet. And so we come to the present. With the promise of answering any of his direct questions we decided to go to the zoo.
I stared at the sloths and they stared back at me. I found myself mimicking their movements. One reached its arm out, so I did the same, only to find we both mistook our arms for branches and it plummeted toward and I fell over. Light leant over, his black shadow cast over me.
"Kidd, they're starting to stare."
"Let them stare."
"Come on, if you stop being weird then I'll buy you a drink or something."
"So, is this a date?"
"Just get up."
"I'm not hearing a no."
Light only groaned. I got up and trailed after him. He opened his wallet at the drink stand.
"So, what do you want?"
"Purple."
"What? There is no purple, what do you want?"
"Let's skip the formalities."
"What formalities? What is purple?"
"The proper term is violet."
"I'm not paying for you anymore."
"No, baby, I want back in."
"Okay, two cokes then… Sorry it's not purple."
"Diet."
"What?"
"I don't like regular coke."
"You don't like- okay one diet. I don't know how you can drink that."
"The feeling is mutual."
Light and I took a seat. Things were finally getting down to business. He decided to ask me those questions he's been asking himself for a long time now.
"So, to recap, you'll answer any direct question I ask you?"
"Indirectly of course."
Light frown but took a sip of his drink and stared into my eyes. He intertwined his fingers together and rested his chin on them and glared.
"Do you see anything behind me?"
"I see a tree."
"Anything out of the ordinary."
"What does the fox say?"
"Don't play dumb, I know you have one too."
"Have…"
"You know what I'm referring to."
I stared at him, he couldn't possibly mean what I think he means? He knows then, wait…
"You know about," I looked around and whispered, "you know about it then?"
"Know about it, I'm the guy famous for it."
"No way, you mean you're…"
"Yeah, and lately you've been active yourself."
"But how could you possibly know about that?"
"Obviously I have one too."
I stared at Light. I knew he was hiding secrets, but this of all things? I'm utterly impressed.
"I'll show you mine if you show me yours."
He was dead serous.
"Mine isn't with me."
He grinned, like when you're about to call checkmate at the end of a chess game. Like Lelouch in Code Geass, great impression Light!
"What about you Light, where's yours?"
"Hidden, of course."
"You're serious about this aren't you?"
"It's the fate of the world."
Light, he's so honorable. Taking it so seriously where as I just goof around with it.
"Light, you're an inspiration."
"Thank you, I try."
"Okay, we can go see mine after we see the Gorilla."
"Sounds good."
We threw away our empty cups and started walking toward the Coco Show. I can't believe it… Light also has a FanFiction account!? He's been writing all of those amazing Bleach fics!? I wouldn't take him for a Shugo Chara fan either. So impressive! I was such a huge fan, and I knew he lived in Japan, but to think he's been writing FanFiction, and he even knows he's a God!? I bow my head, I am unworthy.
We arrived to the gate where Coco would be using sign language to talk to us only the cage was open and someone was dead. The buzzer went off to alert everyone in the Zoo.
"Attention guests, though she is harmless, Coco has escaped from her confinement. Please leave immediately while we catch her. Thank you."
Light started to walk ahead and I followed. This is so unfair; I really wanted to see the gorilla. The swarms of people were herded out like cattle. I head something snap though and I felt a force move me, pulling me toward a back path. I lost Light and followed the force.
There, in the brush, leading to a mountain, Coco waited. I stared in awe. I quickly pulled out my notebook and pen. I can't speak sign language but she can read I'm sure.
"Did you summon me here with your animal senses?"
She wrote back slowly, "The hell? Oh great, you're an otaku… No I didn't summon you here, it was Anguish that brought you here."
"So my suffering at not seeing you at your show brought me to you? We're connected!"
"No, Anguish is my, never mind, you'll find out soon enough."
"What happened to that guy, you didn't hurt him did you?"
"No, I didn't hurt him, but I did kill him."
Coco killed a man? Okay is that really the weird part of this? I'm having a conversation with a gorilla.
"This notebook," she pulled out a black book, "can kill people if you write a name in it."
There were letters in Chinese on the front.
"I'm giving it to you human boy."
"Why would you entrust such a precious and dangerous power to me?"
"Anguish has saved me from my prison and now you must save Anguish. You must aid her in her journey."
"Are you talking about the burden of this book?"
"Okay, stupid human, Anguish is a being, you'll find out soon enough. Here, this book is yours."
"Wait! Real quick, can you sign my face?"
"Why not."
The gorilla pulled out a sharpie and signed my face. It was pretty damn cool. And then Coco closed her eyes and when they re opened she stared at me and walked away… or hopped… How do gorillas get around? I still couldn't quite understand what was happening but either way I picked up the black notebook.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
I fell to my knees. This death note… Light is Kira… Key, where is Key, Light must have found out about Espier and killed him, Ryuk, apples, all these things that I've done… So then Kidd Lelliet is back?
"Kidd Lelliet."
I turned around, "You must be my new Shinigami."
"That's right, I'm Anguish. I came here to the human world to find you."
"Why's that?"
"Because Key is in danger and our worlds are on the brink of war."
"I chose to give this life up…"
"You're the only one I can trust to help Key and the humans."
"And why is that?"
Anguish grinned her rotting flower lips. She reminded me of a plant in her own way, only she was wilting. She pulled out a Hinata doll from Shippuden.
"Because you know more abut supernatural wars than any human, and only you have the power to wield this death note and ultimately save the king and this world."
"So then I am Allan Walker?"
"You're Kidd Lelliet, which is almost as cool."
YOLO! REVIEW SO I'LL BE MOTIVATED TO WRITE! YEAH I KNOW LIGHT WAS OOC BUT HE ENDED UP BEING KIND OF SILLY BECAUSE THIS STORY IS KIND OF SILLY. AND I KNOW IT'S NOT FOLLOWING THE ORIGINAL STORY LINE LIKE I MEANT IT TO… BUT WHO CARES REALLY? AS LONG AS IT'S INTERESTING AND I'M HAVING FUN SO… REVIEW!
