CH 18: The Factory

Soul walked down the dark corridor, his numerous earrings flashing in slightly in the torchlight, his black long coat swishing slightly. He stopped in front of a dark wooded door, taking a deep breath and running his fingers thru his ivory hair, he then knocked on the door. "Come in." Said a voice. The prince opened the door and stepped inside. His mother, Zeera, sat in a plush arm chair, her raven black hair in a high tight bun, her cold steel eyes bore into him. He bowed. "Mother, what can I do for you?" He asked. Zeera smiled coldly. "I want you to go to the factory, check up on things."

Soul put on a fake grin." Of course." He said, he hated the factory. "Oh, take your whore with you." the queen sneered. His red eyes flashed slightly. "I want her to see." Soul grimaced; he didn't want his angel to see the horrors of the factory. "Yes mother." He said. "I will see to it immediately." The fallen angel nodded. "You're dismissed."

He turned and walked out, closing the door behind him, he took a deep breath and sighed. "fuuuuuuuck." He groaned and went to find the angel.

Maka was sitting in the library, wearing a slivery-ash colored dress. She looked up from her book at the sound of footsteps to see Soul walk in with a grim look on his face. He dropped a pair of black flats at her feet. "We're going somewhere and you won't like it." He said. She slipped the shoes on and stood up, slightly confused and curious. Soul grabbed her and held her close as colors swirled around them, mixes of dark and light colors. Maka closed her eyes, but when a blood curdling scream hit her ears, her eyes shot open.

She blinked a few times and looked around, they stood a large, high ceiling 'room' more like cavern, the walls where dark steel and splattered with red. Maka gagged, nearly throwing up, it smelled like iron and decay. More screams hit her ears as her eyes got used to the darkness, the walls where lined with cages full of what looked like people. She crew closer to Soul. "Where are we?" she asked softly, looking up at the demon.

"The Factory." He said distastefully. "Who are the people in the cages?" "Angels, nymphs, a few other creatures." Maka's eyes got wide. "w-what? We have to save them!" The demon shook his head. "If you try, they will kill you." She buried her face into his chest and he wrapped an arm around her and moved her so she stood beside him. He led her past the cages, angels reached out for her, begging and pleading for her to save them. She nuzzled her face into Soul's side, tears running down her face.

A demon walked up to them and bowed, the two demons began to talk. Maka still had her face in Soul's side, her eyes shut tight, trying to block out the screams and pleading, the thick smell of blood and rotting flesh making her sick. She buried her face into his side more, breathing in his scent.

Soul moved away from her and patted her head. "Stay here, I'll be right back." He said then walked off with the other demon. Maka whimpered softly and just stood there. A few moments later a large bald demon grabbed her arm roughly. "How the hell did you get out of your cage?" She squeaked and tried to get away from him but he struck her across the face then dragged her into a cage and threw her to the ground. Maka looked up and let out a scream. There where half decayed bodies in the far corner. She jumped up and started screaming for Soul. "Shut up whore!" the demon yelled but Maka continued to scream for him.

The white haired prince ran from where ever he was and over to the cage. "Get her out now!" he roared in outraged. The bald demon, despite being bigger then Soul in size, let out a terrified noise and hurriedly took Maka out of the cage. She hugged Soul tightly, her whole body shaking. The hell prince let out a low snarl at the bald demon then looked down at the trembling angel. "We're going home little dove, don't worry." He said softly.

She nodded and nuzzled her face into his chest and closed her eyes, when the screams stopped she opened them again and looked up at Soul. "Are you alright, little dove?" He asked softly. She shook her head. "I smell like death, my people are being slaughtered, creatures are being tortured! I am not alright!" she yelled. "How could this happen?! Why would you be doing this?"

Soul sighed. "My mother is harvesting angel grace, angel feathers, magical items from creatures." Maka shook her head angrily. "I…I need a shower! I need to get the death smell off me before I vomit."
