Sorry for the long wait! I thought I'd have more time to write over the break but it turns out I've been one hell of a busy main character. As to what I've been up to I'm afraid that will have to remain a secret. Haha! But don't worry, I'm here for you now with a new chapter in tow. And so… Chapter 12.

That night Kidd dreamed of Espier, it was a strange dream, kind of like the one from Yu Yu Hakusho. Kidd was into it, not for those Yaoi reasons but the fact that he had a dream like Urameshi. You could say that his life was complete.

"Kidd."

"Espier?"

"Kidd, this is important! Shit I'm out of time!"

"Espier?"

The next thing Kidd knew there were all sorts of coins falling from the sky slowly. And then there was a door with a shooting star carved into the front.

"GO THROUGH THE DOOR DAMN IT!"

Kidd complied and reached for the door. He placed his hand on the handle and opened his eyes. He was awake now, it was dark, the middle of the night and his arm was stretched out up at the ceiling.

"A dream?"

It was then Kidd felt very content with himself. Yes, he was now Roxas from the Kingdom Hearts game franchise. Talk about your life being made.

Meanwhile, in a less excited part of town…

I flew overhead, my beak catching falling star dust from space. It's what happens when you travel through the door to the human world. Let's see, where to drop this thing? Oh, my name's Coin by the way. Yeah, that little bit of dream there was called foreshadowing bitches. I swooped down to the city lights and peered through glass eyes.

And then I saw her, she carried an old aluminum bat and stood by the river banks with some other guy. She then swung that thing at that dude's face and he fell in.

"Next time, pay up!"

She turned to walk away, her short orange hair reminded me of a tiger's leap. So I dropped my Death Note onto her head.

"What the?"

And then she turned around and saw me… And hit me in the arm with her bat.

"OW! WHY DID YOU DO THAT!?"

"Demon penguin be gone!"

She bashed me again, this time in the skull.

"NO! WAIT! STOP! NOT THE BEAK! NOT THE BEAK!"

She looked seriously unimpressed, "What are you?"

I meekly returned to my feet, "Ahem, I am a Shinigami."

She hit me on the head again. My mistake giving her my notebook. She quickly opened it, noticing the rules. She scrunched up her nose and made an ugly face.

"I can't read this?"

"Can't read plain English?"

She held up her bat and glared at me. I stepped back and told her what it said, she glinted her eyes to the notebook and then back to me. She thought about it, stuck her tongue out, and grinned.

"I get it! So why'd you give it to me?"

"I'm on a time line right now, so you can only borrow that thing, got it? That's the only one I've got right now."

"That's cool, so can I use it on anyone I want?"

"Not really, I mean sure you can, but I have a specific job for you."

And then her eyes changed, they sparkled. She showed all of her teeth in her next smile, a single cute fang revealing itself. She put both her hands on her hips and looked up at the moon, I looked up too. We looked up at it, as if it were slightly chipped somehow. I looked back at her, but she continued to look up. So… does that mean she's in or…

"Hey, Hari, I hope it's alright that I use your first name, are you going to agree or…"

"Don't call me Hari."

"Okay."

"And don't call me by my last name either."

I stared at her. Finally she decided to look at me, really soaking in my strange appearance. She's settling into strange phenomena very easily. I guess that can be expected, considering she just slugged a guy into a river with a bat. She put her bat onto her shoulder and cheered.

"I'm Carmella, pimp daddy and godfather of the most fearful gang in all of Japan! Looking to the future with wide eyes and ready to pounce! I'm a TIGER!"

"… you're… a pimp?"
