Okay I'm gonna update it really early because I was too lazy to include this in the last chapter so here you go! Chapter 13!

Anguish here, and I'm following Kidd. Once again I find myself consumed with this boy. It's very strange to tell you the truth. Relish in that humans, Shinigami rarely ever tell the truth.

I heard a laughing behind me and turned around to see a penguin man- Coin the Shinigami.

"Hee hee," he squawked, "So you're following Kidd? That's really unlike you."

Kidd kept walking and I stayed behind to be questioned by Coin, "I was bored. What are you doing here?"

"Death Note's missing. Do you have any idea where it might be?"

He leaned in, he smelled like clam juice and shrimp. I turned away, trying to give off the bored impression. He pestered me further while I tried to escape. And then he stopped following me and I turned around.

"Alright Coin, what do you want?"

He grinned, "You know what happened to Key?"

I stopped, "Yeah, everyone's heard about it by now. Key was always weird, but collecting Death Notes… was a bit much."

"Yeah, only Key apparently hid the notes in the human world, so I can't get mine back."

"Don't you have another one?"

He circled me, "That's the funny part."

"There's a funny part?"

"There's a dead human in the Shinigami world, Espier or something. You know him? Of course you do. Turns out he saw Fate in the area and was killed off, but before that he had another Death Note."

"Just cut to the chase."

"It's all about the company you keep Anguish, and you've teamed up with Fate to change the world. Power drunk Shinigami are worse than fluffy Shinigami, but you already knew that."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"I know, I know. Getting past the King isn't hard, but getting past Nu is something else. You guys must have been planning this for a while. You wanna tell me what you are planning?"

"You wanna tell me why you care?"

"That funny dead kid asked for my help, not that I blame him. He caught me at a good time, I want my notebook back and I'm bored. Not to mention I've found myself a very interesting human."

"A weakness?"

"Your weakness, Kidd Lelliet."

"What are you going to do!?"

He had me pushed into a corner. He knew that somehow Kidd got under my skin, just like he did to Key and Fate. Coin cut the crap and looked up at the sky, the moon could be seen though it was not night. Then he looked back to me.

"What are you going to do?"

How could Coin have known about the Masaya? There was no way the human or Key could have known. Did he find the ruins? No, no Shinigami would journey so far into the darkness, not for some fabled door that only the King or Nu could know about? Coin stopped eyeing me, and looked to the school when the bell for break rang out.

"It's time."

He grew his wings and started to fly off. I quickly followed, what was he doing? Was he going after Kidd? I have to protect that boy! His life is special! Not for Fate's purposes or anything that some older human might come up with. He sees and he understands! He's kind and he's strange! He keeps his feelings to himself and he's unlike any human in the world!

And then I stopped; this isn't Kidd's hallway? This is where the third years go? I followed Coin to classroom 3-B. He stopped behind a girl with short orange hair and a confident smirk. She had an old baseball bat by her desk? Was she an athlete? And then I noticed I couldn't see her day of death, in other words, she had his other Death Note.

She got up with her school bag and her bat and ran out the door while everyone else took out their study materials. Coin and I followed.

She stopped at Kidd's classroom and spoke to a random student.

"Hey, Natsuki!"

"Huh, how did you know my name?"

"Bring me Kidd Lelliet!"

"Kidd? Why?"

She was quick, the tip of her bat was suddenly a half inch away from the boy's nose. He fell to his knees and broke into a cold sweat and crawled into the classroom.

"H-hey Kidd. There's someone here to see you… AND IT'S A GIRL!"

Everyone got up and ran to the door, everyone but Kidd. He looked up, utterly disinterested. Matsuri stood up but didn't approach the door until Kidd finally got up after talking to Light about something. The kids made a tunnel for the boy to pass through to meet the relatively pretty older girl.

"You need something?"

His voice was flat; did he not understand the gravity of the situation? Jus in general a strange girl with a bat shows up probably here to beat the life out of him would tip anyone off. She looked over his head and then back to his face.

"Yup, you're definitely him, and what luck! You're pretty cute too! Come with me!"

The class cheered, the weird kid and a third year hooking up! It was unheard of! That's because it isn't what they think. She took him by the hand and dragged him away.

We followed them again, worry clear on my leaves and excitement all over her face. Coin's face never changed and Kidd, precious Kidd, didn't change either. Apparently girls don't interest him. Little did he know that this girl should be of particular interest, can I say anything with Coin here though?

They were up on the roof. She set her stuff down and jumped onto the railing and balanced herself as she walked along. He watched her, not totally interested in what she had to say.

"Kidd Lelliet, I came here to tell you that I come from the future."

His eyes widened, "WOAH REALLY!?"

"Haha, no," she jumped down to stand by his side. She reached into her bag and pulled out a little black notebook.

"Can you read this?"

I saw Kidd's face darken. And now he knew he was in danger, that thing was a legitimate Death Note.

He nodded. She grinned, "read this!"

He read aloud the rules, careful not to reach out for the notebook knowing she would surely kick his ass if he did.

"Alright, and you have one too? Of course you do. I can see it."

"You know I have a Death Note?"

"That's right, I have the eyes."

Kidd nodded, "Why are you telling me this?"

She held out her Death Note, "Go ahead, you can touch it if you want. I wanna team up with you. I highly recommend you accept my offer since I'll prove to be a powerful ally."

Kidd hesitantly reached out to tap the book, and then he looked over at Coin, fascinated.

"So you wanna team up with me?"

The girl grinned, showing off a cute fang, "That's right! Coin here gave me this Death Note to use as long as I watched over you. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Carmella, pimp daddy and godfather of the most fearful gang in all of Japan! Looking to the future with wide eyes and ready to pounce! I'm a TIGER!"

She posed with her hands on her hips and looked up at the moon grinning like a mad man. I guess you could say she was very pleased with her introduction as a main character.

"Never heard of you," he stated not really caring. He was obviously more interested in her Shinigami.

She crashed, face first, into the ground. Then she grabbed him by the collar and hoisted him into the air.

"I'M A TIGER!? HOW COULD YOU HAVE NOT HEARD OF ME!?"

"I'm obviously not Japanese."

She set him down, "of course, my mistake. I forgot for a second."

And then he eyed her, "And you're obviously Japanese, so what's your real name?"

"CARMELLA IS MY REAL NAME!"

She shook him back and forth until he started laughing.

"HEY WHAT'S SO FUNNY!?"

She was breathing fire at this point. It was then I noticed Matsuri crawling up the staircase to the roof, obviously checking on Kidd. She had her Death Note with her. Kidd calmed down and answered Carmella.

"You're pretty interesting, like a Suzumiya of sorts. I accept!"

She stared at him, "Suzumiya? You mean like Haruhi Suzumiya? Chief of the SOS Brigade?"

The world suddenly stopped. Kidd's eyes widened, for the first time it would seem he was interested in a girl, "Are you… an Otaku?"

She stared at him, "To some extent, sure? Hell, I live in Japan."

And then something else completely demented happened, he flung himself at her. His arms wrapped around her and he started to tear up.

"OH! OH MY SHINIGAMI! I CAME TO JAPAN THINKING IT WAS THE MOTHERLAND BUT NO ONE SEEMED TO LIKE ANIME OR CARE ABOUT IT UNLESS THEY WERE SOME KIND OF FREAK SHOW! I'M SO HAPPY!"

The Tiger blushed, trying to shove him off. And then Matsuri appeared. She pulled out her death note and a pen.

"S-Step away from him!"

We all stared at her. I was in shock that she was so loud suddenly. Coin stared at her trying not to laugh. Carmella only blushed a little bit more. Kidd on the other hand watched Matsuri intently.

"Who are you?"

He wasn't trying to be mean or anything, it was just a simple question.

Matsuri fell over, "K-Kidd Lelliet… I'm in love with you… and stuff…"

I stared at her and honestly, felt a little bad. She got back up and opened her death note and watched Carmella.

"I'll d-d-d- do it! I'll write your name down! I won't let you have him!"

Carmella finally shoved Kidd off and opened her notebook and pulled out a pen, "I could do the same, you see I know your name but you don't know mine."

Matsui faltered, "You know my name? But how?"

"Easy, I have… THE EYES!"

Talk about a Mexican standoff….

Longer chapter than last time yay! Okay I'm watching Letters to Iwojima so I have to go now. It has Ken Watanabe in it so you should totally watch it. I love Japan way too much and some day I wanna show it in one of my fics. He's the Chairman in Memoirs of a Geisha. Another amazeballs movie. With love, Tono.
